Dive into the gritty world of rock-and-roll with Jet, the second installment of The Sinful Seven series, where the past and present collide!
Connie Lafortune is a rebel, coffee addict and incurable romantic. She pens steamy contemporary romance about enemies-to-lovers, second chances, and broken heroes with plenty of angst. If she's not in her office writing her next novel, you can bet she's curled up in a comfy chair with her nose buried in a book. On the hunt for her next book boyfriend!
JET: An Enemies to Lovers, Rock Star Romance is Book #2 in THE SINFUL SEVEN SERIES. There are 3 books in the series so far. They can be read as standalone books, as I have not read them in order.
Jet Turner is the talented & good looking bassist for The Sinful Seven Band. He loves the other band members Lucas, Willow, and Trevor like family. He had left his dysfunctional real family at thirteen & had been on his own ever since, until he met Lucas Knight. Together they had conceived the band. The only thing Jet had ever loved was music. No one really knew his past and that is how he wanted to keep it. Quinn, their PR agent, wanted to interview the 4 members of the band. Jet was dead set against it. He would walk away from his band, before revealing his past. His past was buried & gone, so he wanted to keep it that way.
Jet did have a soft spot for the young homeless that were living out on the street. He wanted to form a charity concert to raise money for the homeless & give them a chance. In order to do this, he would need the help of their PR person who just happened to be Quinn. They seemed to be able to work together on this project, and it led to a much closer relationship between the two. Quinn was determined she could help with whatever had happened to Jet in his past, but someone might be so broken that even she couldn't fix the problem. Lots of emotions with twist & turns before there can be a happy ending.
This book pulls you in right from the beginning and doesn’t let you go. Jet is one of those characters that you instantly love and want to reassure things will be ok. That he is not defined by his past, his past made him who he is, a strong caring wonderful man. This book is a great compliment to Lucas, and I’m glad that the story continues. I can’t wait to see what’s next in Willow!
I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I have to say I enjoyed reading Jet, his story had do much depth and heartbreak it really got to me. I found Quinn a bit pushy in the beginning, but towards the end she grew on me a bit. I am curious about willow story.
I was oh so happy to be back with the Sinful Seven amid their angst and heat. I couldn't wait to follow them back on their tour bus and experience all the emotion, drama, and heartache that their music, fans, and love brings their way. While I loved Lucas and Abby in the first book in the Sinful Seven series, from the moment I opened Jet and Quinn's story, my heart was totally theirs! I just knew from glimpses of this broody pair in Lucas' story that I couldn't wait to get intimately acquainted with them. And after reading their story, I know I wasn't wrong. They had my emotions all over the place with their back and forth, tough facades, and troubled shadowy past.
Jet Turner has become one of my all time favorite fictional heroes and as much as I like to read romance, I do not often change my top ten book boyfriends. It takes a lot to make that list. I learned early on when reading romance, that I love a troubled hero that needs to be saved from himself. From the moment I met this sexy, moody basist in the first book, I have wanted to show up on my white horse and grab a hold of him. But since I liked Quinn, I was willing to wait in the shadows and let her be the savior, but she better do it and fast! But of course do fictional characters ever listen? No, so I had to be patient and wait for these two to get their act together and bring me the happiness I craved. As long as they had some smolder and passion along the way and they filled that quota time and time again. As soon as these two would butt heads, and they did that ALL the time, the sparks would fly and I would be transfixed and more than ready to give them my time.
Quinn had my heart from the first chapter. She is just my type of heroine, head strong, with a hard outer shell, and a soft gooey center that you know she is hiding away for just the right guy to come along and discover. And let's face it, girlfriend had her work cut out for her with Jet and she needed all the sympathy and the “atta girls” she could get. I will be honest, there might have been a few times that I myself would have walked away from Jet, slapped him, or possibly both but not our girl Quinn here. She was in it for the long haul and she wasn't going to walk away from this rock star, even with her already scarred heart, she stood to toe to toe and let him know that she could handle all of him and his past and so much more.
Connie Lafortune delivers a heart melting, soul scorching, feel good romance that has you along for the ride and ready to see this band of stubborn souls reach the pinnacles of fame and do it all for love, heat, and money for a good cause. I highly recommend the Sinful Seven series if you are into sexy rockers, off the charts tension, with a little suspenseful mystery and angst thrown in. Their band name says it all and they come to you bare chested, with walled off hearts, and troubled souls that you can't help but love.
This is the second instalment to this series, Jet is part of the band Sinful Severn and he has a history that not many within his group are aware of. He has always kept his life before the band as private and Quinn the bands PR manager he just cannot help himself being so hard on her all the time.
They are having a break from the tour and Jet realises he is attracted to Quinn, but his past is stopping him taking this any further. He doesn’t feel he is any good enough for her but when Quinn becomes ill Jet steps up and takes care of her and this brings back all of his memories of his mom and the emotions attached to her death.
When they go back on tour Jet and Quinn take the leap to take this relationship forward and come out and tell the band they are together, but when Quinns and Jets past come back to haunt them both. The pressure of this puts their relationship and foundations that they had built this on at risk.
In this books Jet deals with various sensitive issues that Connie Lafortune has addressed in a manner throughout the book that will have you mesmerised, you will feel yourself going through every emotion with him.
I loved this book and have actually read it twice since the initial download
I really enjoyed book 1 in this series and have been eagerly awaiting book 2. It was well worth the wait. I will even go as far as to say this is better than book 1, Lucas. The story continues where book 1 left off, but focuses on 2 different characters. Connie makes them come alive and you can easily imagine that they are real. There is enough mystery about both of their pasts that you can’t put the book down. All of the characters are so different, yet it makes sense that they interact the way they do. The more you read, the more you care about what happens to them.
Book 3 here I come.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, but I will be purchasing it just so I can leave a verified review on Amazon.
I hadn’t read book 1 in this series but after reading Jet’s and Quinn’s story I definitely will now, this is my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc and I loved this story but my heart went out to Jet when he is out touring with the band everyone loved him and it made him feel alive but when he arrives home he is alone he sleeps on the floor Jet has so many demons inside his head but he likes to be alone. Quinn is the PR agent for Jet’s band she wants to interview him he flat out refuses but Quinn needs to get all of the bands interviews done, Jet can be so stubborn so she has to find a way to get him to co operate and I say good luck with that. Fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This is the second book in the series. Though it can be read as a stand alone, it’s much better as part of the series. Jet is the bass player for the group. He is fighting some serious demons from his past. His PR person,Quinn, wants to release some interviews with each member of the band but he’s afraid. He does not want to disclose his past. Somehow, Quinn has turned from enemy to love interest and Jet needs to figure out what he wants. Opinion My heart absolutely breaks for Jet. His back story is so sad. This book embraces how love can change you and Quinn certainly helps Jet change. Have a box of tissues ready.
All I have to say is, "Jet completely slayed me!!" I knew that when I read the tale of this Sinful Seven member, my heart strings would be stretched beyond their limits and the sensual heat would sear. All the feels are most definitely present in this book. Jet's struggles and pain from his runaway past are fully revealed, while Quinn is there to catch him as he unravels. Quinn also has her secrets and insecurities unearthed, but it's all worth the experience to finally see her and Jet together as they should be. Connie Lafortunte again delivers an awesome page-turner of friendship, acceptance, and love as dreams are made true through music and inspirations. I'm eagerly anticipating the stories for the remaining members, Willow and Trevor.
This is the second book in this series, this is Jet And Quinn’s story. Jet is exciting to read hold your attention through the book full of so many emotions., romance humour.jet has so many hidden secrets it has affected his life since the age is13 growing up on the streets because he ran away from home the band his his life and his friends are family. Quinn is the band’s PR. they have a love hate relationship but more love than hate.their story is complicated but so enjoyable. Well worth reading wait for the next book. Thank you Connie.
I really enjoyed this second book in the series. Jet, the bass guitarist in the band, has issues. Trying to break down his brick solid wall of defence is the bands PR lady, Quinn. The issues of homeless people infiltrate the story in a real way. Jet and Quinn have fabulous chemistry as their ‘will they - won’t they’ story is played out. Of course we know they ‘will’ as in all good enemies to lovers stories, that doesn’t distract from the lovely story telling as they embark on their road to true love. Well written, fab characters, interesting background.
Jet wasn’t very likable at the beginning of this story. He was a deep and complex character that I grew to like as his difficult past unfolded. He was so mean to Quinn, but his strong attraction to her couldn’t be denied. She had her own demons to fight while harboring a maddening crush on Jet, who seemed to hate her. I loved reading their story with all of its ups and downs and how they finally opened up to each other, fell in love and found their happily ever after. This story is very well written, the characters felt realistic, and it is easy to follow. I thought the rock and roll vibe was wonderful too! Now I want to go back and read the first book.
Jet and Quinn both have a past that have been haunting them, when it surfaces it will push their relationship and test it to is limits. This is a well written story of enemies becoming lovers. Jet's story will pull at your heart as he goes on his journey.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book takes you on a steamy romance ride from enemies to lovers, while skillfully interweaving the seven deadly sins. It’s as much about overcoming trauma as it is about romance in a tasteful and delicate way. It can be read as a stand alone! If you like contemporary romance or women’s fiction, you will love this!
The book is a good, and enjoyable enemies to lovers rockstar romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

Wow, just wow! Jett and Quinn are two of my favorite characters ever. Jet is so tormented within his own mind, even though nothing was his fault. Quinn was strong, loyal, and resilient. She helped jet see just how amazing he is. I can’t wait to read Willow’s story.
I loved Jet! Lucas’ story was good but Jet’s was so good! So many ups and downs. As a social worker I was so connected to Jet’s background. But it’s my female side that adored Jet and his grumpy sunshine self! Quinn challenged him and I was here for it. The scene where he took care of her let me know that he was still just a scared kid and didn’t know how to let anyone near him due to his past! All along I just wanted to hug Jet and tell him he was worthy of good things!
This story was so moving, exciting, entertaining and heartfelt!!!. It speaks to those that don't have a voice, maybe this story will help them find that voice!!!!. Connie is a FANTASTIC storyteller and is a PHENOMENAL writer!!.
This book covers heavier topics but does so in a way that it doesn't get overwhelmed on the enormity of those issues but looks to make small impacts to help an individual at a time.

The subject matter of this story is one that needs to be told often until it is no longer a dirty little secret. Until the victims live in the light. Enjoy
We all know how it will end but how are we going to get there? That's the question that kept me reading until the tablet said the battery was almost gone. I got to the last before it gave out by a hair. A sensitive subject well handled. Good read.
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Jet and Quinn’s story. Jet keeps his past a secret which not even his band mates are aware of, and Quinn is the band’s PR manager, and the sparks fly between her and Jet. When the band is on a break from touring Quinn is ill and Jet decides to look after her, and the chemistry between them is intense and undeniable, and although Jet does not feel he is worthy of being loved, they decide to give their relationship a go. Jet and Quinn are both haunted by their pasts, and when the past comes to confront the present, their relationship is challenged with obstacles to overcome. This is a well written flawless story which is filled with emotions, secrets, mystery, witty banter, and love, which all leads to an entertaining and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I can’t believe I actually finished this tripe. Hot and cold. Lust and hate. They were back and forth more than a tennis ball. I dislike them both. Jet hates and hates and hates on Quinn. And suddenly she gets a migraine and then he loves her? And then he hates her. And then he loves her. Whiplash. Of course, there was the shill for homeless and abused children. If not for that this would have been utter garbage.
I absolutely loved the first person point of view of the story. This is always a deal breaker for me just like stories about rockstars are. This one did not disappoint. I really liked this one and I read it in one sitting. Definitely recommend.
