Emily Sandhurst thinks Trent is an entitled jerk. But after a misunderstanding, his eloquent apology improves her opinion of the haughty pilot. Having been left to raise her son alone after her partner died in Afghanistan, she's working a dead-end job to show her son that privilege is earned. Should she tell Trent that she's not all she seems?

Just when Trent thinks he could trust Emily, he learns of a family feud that could rip them apart. When tragedy strikes and Trent cuts contact, will Emily accept her fate or fight for the man she loves?

Trent and Emily โค๏ธ

This was a fun and sexy read.

Trent is a Pilot and yes comes across as slightly uptight but trust me he's a lot more than a sexy Pilot! Emily is a single mum working in a cafe. She speaks her mind, and while Trent is uptight she is a 'little minx'. You would think chalk and cheese but these two are perfect together and make for an entertaining read.

Barcelona, what a trip - sightseeing and sexy times. Trent is quite gentlemanly, well to a point but Emily loves teasing and talking dirty - it seems it certainly makes for good foreplay.

There's lots more to this story but I'm not doing spoilers.

I found it a great read and there's a line on the last page that melted my heart.

Uptight Flyboy (Cocky Hero Club)
Written by: Em Taylor

Em Taylor is a new author to me and since I have a soft spot for sexy pilot stories when the opportunity arose to check out this book, I couldnโ€™t say no.

Trent and Emily are quite the couple. Trent and airline pilot has a bit of a coffee mishap at a coffee stand in Heathrow. Emily was a part of the mishap, planned or unplanned if they are ever asked how they met; coffee will be part of the story.

Emily is a strong woman and you want to get her a high five for working hard to raise her son. However, she has a secret, but thatโ€™s ok because Captain Trent-Darby also has a secret, heโ€™s also suffering from the years he spent with a wife who really hadnโ€™t a care for him as a person.

These two have so much push and pull going on that when they finally come together is like a volcano exploding - all heat and steam! It takes one hot night in Barcelona and a few weeks of stubbornness for these two going a little slower and learning a bit more about each other. There is also the cutest little 5-year-old boy named Cooper who knows how to wrap and adult around each and every finger!

Em Taylor has given readers a lovely story of two people who met over aftershave and spilt coffee yet should have met years ago. They share mutual friends and a small closer group of friends who realize how right these two are for each other. With a nasty ex-wife involved and a total change in Trentโ€™s life, Author Em Taylor has given readers a story that makes you laugh, makes you feel a little on the sad side and lets you celebrate their love story.

Trent is an uptight sexy pilot, Emily works at a coffee shop in the airport and they happen to cross paths in the airport security line and Emily doesn't have a very flattering opinion of Trent. She thinks he's a cocky entitled pilot....there is a lot more to him that she doesn't know, same can be said for Emily. Trent is intrigued by Emily from that first meeting, but he doesn't know how to find her. Fate, and a little help from good friend and fellow pilot Carter Clynes and a coffee stop suggestion and he's found her!! He says something to her, and ends up having to apologize and that's the start of something special...maybe lol. Trent has some deep seeded issues from a past relationship that he's still carrying with him, and the fact that Emily has such a different and positive reaction to him and his quirks, he doesn't know how to process that. They certainly don't have things easy, there are some misunderstandings, and then there are some things that come to light that neither of them had any idea about. There is so much more to this book, and a lot of things going on if they are going to make it or not...if you want to find out y'all are just gonna have to read their awesome story!!

4 Star Review of Uptight Flyboy (Cocky Hero Club) by Em Taylor

Em Taylor is a new author to me which is one of the bonusโ€™s of reading the Cocky Hero Club books. Uptight Flyboy is pilot, Trent Darcy and single mum, Emily Sandhurstโ€™s story and one I became invested in.

Although a quick read, Em Taylor wove an entertaining story that kept me interested from the first to the last chapter. This book was witty, steamy and had some surprising twists and turns.

From their first meeting, their relationship is rife with miss understanding and miss communication and that added an additional layer of fun to the story as their relationship blossomed. However all is not as it seems and both have baggage from their pasts. What will happen when all is revealed?

The story was fast paced and I loved how feisty and determined Emily was to succeed and look after her son, after his father died in Afghanistan. The chemistry between Trent and Emily was of the charts and it was entertaining to watch the push and pull as their relationship developed.

Em Taylor is a new to me author who did not disappoint! Once I read the blurb for Uptight Flyboy I knew I needed to read it.
The characters are fun and engaging with their own quirks and plenty of chemistry. The story has plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, like the other Cocky Hero Club books! It was also nice to see my favorite pilot!
Emily is full of surprises, she is strong, sassy, and smart. She knows what she wants and will take nothing less. Tent is a fish out of water when it comes to her, she pushes all the right buttons and the complete opposite of his ex-wife.
If you are in the mood for a fast fun read. This is the book for you!

Trent and Emily donโ€™t quite hit it off but soon find out that the attraction they have between them is more than just mere annoyance. They appear to be from different worlds but appearances can deceptive.

Can Trent learn to be less uptight and allow himself to be happy with Emily? Will Emily see past his foibles and love him for who he is?

Great addition to the Cocky World thatโ€™s not to be missed.

The fight is on and the heart just may be collateral damage. Uptight Flyboy takes many detours before it finally finds it's way. Taylor keeps Trent and Emily's secrets well concealed until the moment you think you have things all figured out and then the drama begins. From laughter to heartache and back again, Trent and Emily are a captivating temptation that proves too hard to resist.

Emily thinks Trent is an entitled snob. Trent thinks she's a brat. Thank God they'll never see each other again. Except they do see each other, and this time Trent's got an apology on hand. Will she see past his demons to the heart inside, the big heart hiding beneath the uptight faรงade?

Emily's got a secret, one that could bit them in the butt once revealed. And she and Trent have a very unfortunate (and unknown by either of them at first) connection that could spell the end of whatever they're building between them. Combined with his obvious wariness of another relationship, things aren't looking good for our couple. Unless they're willing to fight for what they want, outside forces be damned.

I loved the contrast between Emily's determined, sassy personality, and Trent's uptight, stoic one. They balanced each other out, and the result was a sweet, entertaining read.

Uptight Flyboy by Em Taylor is a standalone in the Cocky Hero Club World. It is inspired by Playboy Pilot and if you have read that book then you will be pleased that Trip and Kendall help this couple. This is an entertaining read as the couple slowly discover that first impressions arenโ€™t necessary true especially as both have secrets they are keeping.

Captain Trent Darcy of International Airlines is totally and utterly uptight. He is a really old fashioned gentleman who has aristocratic airs and graces. You will laugh at his weird quirks and how awkward he is at times because he likes things a certain way. Some would say he is stuffy but underneath his posh persona is a romantic soul. To me Trent is quintessentially English.

Emily thinks Trent is an entitled idiot when she first meets him and sees his gaggle of trolley dollies around him. She is a single mum to Cooper and working in a cafe at the airport.
When he visits for breakfast there is a funny incident that is the start of their friendship.
I loved how she and Andrew, her work colleague and best friend, mark the pilots out of 12. Andrew being gay rates both Trent and Trip highly which causes great amusement. He enjoys playing cupid to get them together as they obviously like each other.

Trent has been greatly affected by his ex-wifeโ€™s actions and accusations. He has been constantly told he is worthless and uptight, criticised and verbally assaulted. Alexa always nagged him so he retreated into himself. It was lovely how Emily brings him out of himself and is so kind to him. He battles with her engaging ways because of his upbringing but when they are alone they set the pages alight. He shows a totally different side to himself, one he has been hiding due to being down trodden by his ex-wife.

At first glance they are total opposites but Emily isnโ€™t all she makes out to be. He likes her confidence and elegance but questions her background as she seems intelligent and cultured.
He slowly notices that Emily speaks with a proper english accent and wonders if sheโ€™d understand his background and circumstances. Trent is so fed up with people wanting him to be the person he isnโ€™t and when he realises he can be himself with Emily, he is an absolute charmer and sweetie.

Their time in Barcelona is romantic as he looks after her and they discover the real side to each other. Itโ€™s hilarious as she drives him to swear as he so easy to tease. Fun banter especially when he tells her off for being crass but wait till he starts relaxing and talking dirty to her!!

โ€œAnd you thought stripy pyjamas couldnโ€™t be sexyโ€

Cooper her son is adorable and has a great relationship with her dad. It was nice to see Trip hasnโ€™t changed that much now he a married man and I enjoyed his enthusiasm for Trent and Emilyโ€™s relationship. Their best friends Andrew and Sebastian are hilarious and need a book of their own.

The twist at the end is emotional and I felt so sorry for Trent trying to deal with everything. Luckily Emily proves how strong she is and with the help of their friends, this couple find their HEA. Lots of will they, wonโ€™t they plus miscommunication and misunderstandings mixed with great chemistry provides a fun read. The epilogue is romantic and such a sweet way to end the book. An enjoyable and very English addition to the Cocky Hero World.

This addition to the Hero Club Series is a fun, steamy listen! Trent is jaded by his lying, cheating ex-wife and has closed himself off to the idea of love. His aristocratic upbringing means he likes having things a certain way, which can come across as uptight. As a handsome airline pilot and the son of an earl Trent is used to fending off the advances of women after his money and title. He is taken completely off guard by spunky Emily, who is not in the mood for his crap and puts him in his place. As a single parent she is working hard to be a strong role model for her son. They are opposite personality types, but they fit together well and bring out the best in each other. They have excellent chemistry from the start, but their dynamic progresses as they come to trust and rely on each other. I really liked the flow of their relationship and how they learn all the ways they fit. She is really good for him, but he has trouble trusting and opening up. With a touch of enemies to lovers to friends, complicated families, and a doozie of an ex-wife this story is a great listen! Will Watt and Kai Kennecott are both excellent narrators. This is the first time I have listened to them together in a book and they both did an excellent job bringing depth to these characters.

I received a code for this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved Uptight Flyboy by Em Taylor. It was an unexpected and page-turning story that I enjoyed immensely after being on a reading slump for two weeks. It mixes modern romance with elements of a regency novel. And let me tell you, it's fantastic!

Captain Trent Darcy is an uptight yet hot British pilot, who adheres to formalities and protocol. He is very alpha but full of quirks, and striped pajamas! Emily is a single mother to an adorable 5-year-old. She works at a coffee shop in Heathrow as she wants to show his son not to take things for granted. A bottle of aftershave, a spilled coffee cup, and a last-minute trip to Barcelona will seal Trent and Emily's fate. When in public, these two are proper and hilarious. Behind closed doors, even they are the doors of a taxi, they are steamy and hot.

There are so many layers to them as characters as well as their backgrounds, which simply enriched the story giving it more depth. Captain Carter Clynes has a secondary, always melting panties and singing Beatles songs.

I'm so happy I took a chance on Uptight Flyboy, the first book I've ever read by Em Taylor. Because now, I'm too curious about her historical books. And for someone who mostly reads contemporary, this is huge!

Fun and Feel-Good Read
The latest contemporary romance from Em Taylor is a super fun read, featuring Trent, an uptight aristocratic pilot and Emily, a plain-speaking and sassy single mother. The book is part of the Cocky Hero Club series, but can be read as a standalone and Iโ€™ll definitely be checking out the other titles.

I loved how we get straight into their story from the off โ€“ sparks fly as soon as the couple meet. Indeed, Trent just does not know how to take Emily as she is so unlike the women he is used to, yet something about her gets under his skin and they have plenty of chemistry togetherโ€ฆ As for Emily she is not impressed by Trent and his stuck-up attitude, despite how damn attractive she finds him on a physical levelโ€ฆ

To reveal more would spil the plot, suffice to say that their romance is not plain sailing. Both have secrets and emotional baggage and this makes for a story with plenty of emotional highs and lows amidst the fun and smexy scenes. The supporting cast of characters were a great foil for their adventures.

Recommended for romance fans who are after a sexy feel-good read which contains humour, emotional angst and engaging characters. Please note, a copy of this book was given to me by the author and I am leaving a fair and honest review.

This book was a great read for me.

In a enjoyable role reversal, Trent is an insecure, awkward pilot with impeccable manners who is afraid of doing all the wrong things. Meeting Emily pulls him out of his shell, but is he really okay with the person he is, and will he be enough for her?

Emily is trying to be the woman that doesn't rely on daddy's coattails to get ahead in life while teaching her son about hard work and respect. A sweet, yet unsure pilot isn't in her plans, but after an unplanned weekend rendezvous, she thinks she could be falling for him and all his quirks. Will life give her and romance a second chance?

This was a fun, steamy read. Emily & Trent had great chemistry, even with his hang-ups. I liked that Emily was a great supportive and patient partner to Trent even when he was unsure about which way was up. I loved Trip & Kendall's cameo in this, too, and their contribution to Trent & Emily's relationship. All the other secondary characters were great, too.

I recommend this read, and I predict that you'll enjoy this latest addition to the Cocky Hero Club series.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

4.5 Stars for Uptight Flyboy ( Cocky Hero Club)
Another new author and another great addition to the world of cocky heroโ€™s, Em Taylor may be a new author to me today but thatโ€™s about to change because I was really invested in pilot, Trent Darcy and single mum, Emily Sandhurstโ€™s entertaining story. There journey starts with a miss understanding and continues with miss communication, she thinks he is a cocky know it all pilot and he is intrigued in her but problem is he has no way of contacting her. Fate seems determined to push these two together but Emily will alway put her son first and that means relationships are at the back of her mind. A couple both hiding baggage leads to a lot of pushing and pulling as they get to know each other and that just adds another level to this captivating read. This is a story with plenty of sizzling chemistry, lots of witty banter, characters you canโ€™t help loving, itโ€™s well written and it will certainly appeal to a wide range of audiences. Great addition to a world I love to escape too.

What a great story from Em Taylor. I loved the main characters.

After a heated moment meeting at the airport where Trent was a pilot and Emily working in the coffee shop, this story just got better. Emily thought he was a pompous ass and he thought Emily was just a regular girl. Little did they both know that first impressions can be deceiving.

I loved Trent's little quirks and how Emily brought out the best in him. His stuffiness was so funny. They are so different but so similar in other ways.

I hope we get a story of Andrew and Seb as I think their story could be good.

We also get a cameo from Trip and Kendell from the Cocky club series. So it was fun to see them. Trip never changes.

I hope we get to see more from Em and this group of friends.

This is a great addition to this amazing series and is Trent and Emilyโ€™s story. Trent is a sexy pilot who is left feeling jaded by woman thanks to a horrific ex-wife, and Emily is a single mom to a 5-years old little boy, Cooper, whose dad was killed in Afghanistan. Emily work is a cafรฉ at Heathrow Airport, and this is where she and Trent cross paths, over a coffee mishap. The sparks fly between these two, and they may be total opposites but they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which is filled with secrets, drama, tragedy, family, friendships, misunderstandings, witty banter, humor, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

My oh my Trent is very very uptight seriously. He's a wealthy divorced man who just so happens to be over women after his ex-wife did a number on him. Emily's a single mother who also comes from a wealthy family, and yet, she still works at a coffee shop at Heathrow Airport, and this is where she comes face to face with the arrogant pilot. He isn't nice whatsoever, but he does go back to apologize for his attitude so their journey begins. She loves to shoot from the hip so she's determined to get him to lighten up. They definitely have chemistry in spades but their journey has some turbulence popping up at different times. Uptight Flyboy was a story that I really enjoyed so hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Trent was raised in an affluent lifestyle and has always been cognizant of what is considered proper behavior. The one thing that his divorce has taught him is that his idiosyncrasies are annoying to others and that he is better off single, but he is drawn to Emily in a way he never expected.

Emily is a single mother who works at the coffee shop at the airport. Although she and Trent didnโ€™t get off to a great start, she finds his mannerisms endearing but neither has been completely honest with the other and that isnโ€™t the only thing they need to overcome.

Emilyโ€™s fun and fiery personality is a perfect balance for the conventional personality of Trent as she appreciates him just the way he is.

I couldn't really connect with either Trent and Emily. At first, I kinda like Emily. And she's the only one who understands Trent but then when Trent left after the night they spent together, she immediately thought the worst of him. And Trent is always suspicious of people, that they're just using him for his money and title. So he always put his foot in his mouth and say things that are just annoying to me. I was hoping to see how Emily is as a single mother, I mean she's a good one, but her son does not appear a lot. So I'm not sure how Trent has a relationship with her son or not. Except for the ending. So, this is a miss for me.

Trent and Emily for sure have their issues. But for Trent, he has his way of getting what he wants and his ex didn't like him the way he was. For him, he just wishes someone out there would be his match. Emily has so much going on in her life and when these two meet they butt heads and it's hilarious. Emily doesn't have a filter and I loved that about her. What she won't do is put up with Trent, but sometimes love will bite you when you least expect it and when something happens can they move through it and love one another or will someone get in the way?

Loved it!

This is why I love the Cocky Hero Club, Em Taylor is a new author to me and I will be reading more of her work.
Emily is a single mom working in a coffee shop in there airport where she encounters Captain Trent. She is working there to prove to her son that nothing should be taken for granted. Trent is a little stiff and with some weird habits. Their initial meeting is funny and their chemistry just jumps of the pages.
This book was a great read for me and even though they have some mishaps along the way, Trent and Emily's story is well worth it.

Pilot and Barista?

Trent is a pilot and a Lord but that part he keeps to himself. Emily is a single mom who works at a coffee shop in the airport. After he saves her from a bad situation with her boss, she takes off to Barcelona. When Trent goes into the bar of his hotel on a layover, he doesnโ€™t expect to find a very drunk Emily. After an amazing day and night together, Emily wakes up to an empty room and no number or note. She thought she had been more than another trolley dolley.

Fun and enjoyable read
I enjoyed reading this book and watching Emily and Trent grow. With the way Trent was brought up and how he was treated by his exwife he has a hard time trusting. I really liked how Emily was patient with Trent. He actually opened up so much with Emily. The chemistry between them is so hot! The way all the events unfolded in this book were perfect for the story line. EM Taylor is a new author to me and I liked the writing style. This is a must read. ๐Ÿ“š ๐Ÿ“š

Trent & Emily...
These two were interesting together. Trent is over woman after his divorce and is a not so nice person. Emily is a single mother and although she comes from a wealthy family she works at a coffee shop at the airport. This is how these two meet. Their first encounter Trent was not nice to her. He did however, go back an apologize to her and their start began. A great story with two people that started off rocky, but ended so fabulous.

What a fun delightful book by EM Taylor who was a new author to me. Trent a pilot meets Emily and things donโ€™t go so well but there is a strong chemistry and they develop a fun and quirky relationship. This book was so delightful and I couldnโ€™t put it down. This book is part of The Cocky Hero Club but can be read as a standalone. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion.

Emily and Trents storyโ€ฆ. Was quite enjoyable.
First you have Trent that us so suspicious of women because of his ex wife.
Then you have Emily the single mom who was left a widow with a five year old.
Itโ€™s very sexy, loving, quite engaging and ultimately a beautiful story that lets a man want to live again thanks to the right woman.

A cute and engaging story that kept me turning pages. Em Taylor is a new author to me and her story was a perfect fit. I loved the fun times, the sexy times, and even the drama times! This story has it all and Trent and Emily are prefect for each other, they just have to figure that out! LOL
