Silverjack McCall: Texas Legend: Trouble on the Texas Border : A Sixth Texan Western Adventure

Rate this book
Trouble on the Texas Border is an action-laden adventure filled with double-crosses, shootouts, and surprises, as some of the inhabitants of Lucasville turn out not to be the upright citizens they appear to be.

Carlos Macias and his gang of border ruffians from Mexico storm into Lucasville, Texas, killing former Texas Ranger and current town marshal, Dan Cable. The gang kills seven people, defiles two ladies, and robs the bank.

The Texas Rangers send Rangers Silverjack McCall and Pharaoh Smith to restore order in the town until the U. S. Cavalry arrives in a week or so. Silverjack McCall wants to go into Mexico and pursue Macias’s gang, but senior Ranger Pharaoh Smith says that is not their jurisdiction and not their mission. A series of horrifying events causes Ranger McCall to become more serious about going after the border gang. This time Ranger Smith agrees with him. Ultimately, both Rangers find themselves up against a wall of danger and deceit.
