Rexx de Tasha Black Serie Alien Adoption Agency libro 6
Argumento:
This book was just too cute! Rexx is a super sweet instalove by Tasha Black and is the last book in the Alien Adoption series. It can definitely be read as a standalone, but best read in order with the others. Abigail Shaw meets Rex when she is chosen to adopt baby Rio and Rexx, a dragon warrior of the Invicta guard was chosen to protect the baby as he grows. Both characters are wonderful. Abigail is super sweet and just so happy that she’s been selected since she isn’t able to have children of her own. Rexx is a proud, caring, and formidable warrior who has really taken to caring for his charge. The story is a quick and easy read that has some elements of romantic suspense which keeps the book moving along nicely. Rexx is a slow burn, but the chemistry and attraction between Rexx and Abigail was there from the start. The story was entertaining and an all around great addition to the series!
This was a great story from Tasha, this was on a train with lots of goings on's. I like that Abigail was so knowledgeable about the train she learned from her grandfather. She was a dynamic force even with her lovable dragon mate. Baby Rio was right in the mix. Great read!
This is probably the best book in the Adoption Agency series for me as I laughed at the antics. Both Rexx n Abigail thought each was wealthy because of the money they spent. He assumed because she arrived in that gaud awful purple gown and she talked about her grandad running the Peregrine that she was related to the Shaw family who invented the famous train. Abigail always wanted children but a childhood illness in her teens , treatment worked, left her infertile. She'd help babysit her brothers n sisters. So when she found out about the agency she jumped at the chance. When she saw baby Rio with his Invicta warrior, she ran straight toward them, happy as a lark. She swung the baby round n round until he upchucked as babies tend to do after being fed. But even that didn't dampen her spirits. A chance touch from Rexx felt like springtime to her with flowers pushing up from the soil of her soul while pleasant breezes flowed through her veins. At first sight of the warrior she'd already felt a slight pull toward him along with an effervescent feeling in her chest. So she knew exactly what was happening, but did he feel the same thing? Rexx always believed the key to success was to suppress one's wants to serve the homeland. When tasked to protect the Imberian child, he took his job seriously what he didn't expect was how gratifying it would be. When he touched Abigail the dragon inside screamed "mate". He n the dragon argued the issue, "not mate, yes mate, no way, yes way". Rexx still said no n the dragon just chuckled. But the more he learned about Abigail he shifted his priorities to protect them both from any predator, weather event, criminal,or bad thing of any kind that might risk their lives. On the Peregrine, there's a mysterious locked car, unexplained noises in the night, a missing person, a criminally dangerous passenger n sabotage. While the child was totally adorable, the thing that was outrageously funny was when Rexx sent a progress report that went viral. Reply from commander, " You do know that you only need the female 's permission" . Then reply after reply starting coming in, he read some then threw the communicator away. I laughed so hard I 😂😂. I don't usually stay with serials but I loved each episode n the fact they had no cliffhangers was a win win for me. Now patiently waiting for the next book, oh who am I kidding. Hurry up October!!!
Schoolteacher Abigail Shaw is thrilled that the Alien Adoption Agency has selected her to adopt adorable baby Rio. Coming along with Rio is Invicta Warrior Rexx who is very handsome and has eyes that can seduce her. When he offers his mate bond she thinks that things cannot get better, plus they get a free ride on the famous Iron Peregrine express train to their new home. Rexx is a proud dragon warrior of the Invicta who has spent so many years solely focused on his military career that he has forgotten how to live in the outside world but when he meets Abigail his dragon goes wild and it takes all the strength that he has to not claim her instantly. However, they have barely boarded the train when they are faced with a mysterious locked car, a criminally dangerous passenger, unexplained noises in the night and a missing person before things really do get bad during the cross-moon journey. Will Abigail and Rexx find a way to make it home safely with baby Rio? And if Rexx does what has to be done, will Abigail still want to be his mate? Or will that train have left the station?
There are a lot of dramatic events on this train which makes me wonder at the ability of the train company and the authorities in order to keep their population safe. I loved the story of the relationship between Abigail and Rexx and the way that their total focus was on Rio and his care plus happiness. It is so nice to read stories about strong warriors who show their gentle side when they care for the babies in this programme. Well written and easy to read and understand. I loved the ending which showed a willingness to do what was right and proper in both cultures. Contains some explicit sexual content.
It was a decent read. Nothing great nothing bad. Nanny hired to look after alien baby given property of a house on a farm or ranch of some type as a way of making a living, on alien planet . A baby from an nearly extinct race (wrongly slaughtered by the invicta dragon race). They were tricked or incorrectly notified of this race as warring and instead they killed an innocent race of bright peaceful people and as. Penitence the invicta warrior dragons are retired generals & captains chosen to guard a baby to adulthood the nannys all think they are going into this alone and have no idea the males are permanent… and come with the babies. Who are all from from the dna of a single surviving princess. The Nannie’s all have rough back grounds the males all are gruff and believe they were chosen as punishment but in fact. Chosen because they are best of best and honorably served and now chosen to retire but their greatest challenge is raising a endangered race of frail human like babies with no armor no self protection and thier new human adoptive mothers. All the females fall in love with the males and they all realized they are fated. This particular couple if I’m not mistaken we’re falsely accused of a murder on the train taking them to new home. They work together to find the real killer and. In every story someone is alway s either trying to murder the baby or the new adoptive mother.
Only reviewing now because it keeps showing in my current reading file and won’t go away till i review.. bulling me to review is not a good idea.. if I don’t review it’s probably best cause I was not that impressed. Most an ok read. Kinda boring
Um, it was good. I liked it. I was just not as excited as I thought I would be. For the second trilogy, the second book was still my favorite hands down. That’s not to say this one was bad or I didn’t like the characters, I did, but I think the “train heist” might have pulled me out of the story- ironically enough. Abigail was a very wholesome, sweet character that had just enough knowledge to help- which I appreciated. I don’t care for know-it-all types that seem to never fail to have the solution. Rexx was more rigid in his duty than I was expecting. All the males have been firm in their beliefs but others have not been as “I can’t do this because I’m a soldier”. Rio was of course adorable! These babies always are.
So there is some confusion on Rexx’s part about Abigail’s upbringing- and honestly I think it would have added a layer to the story had he been correct in his assumption. As I was reading, I was almost hoping that he was- alas Abigail was as advertised. This didn’t detract from the character- like I said, she’s a sweetheart and very resourceful, but it could have been an interesting story. Anyway- for me the rating of this story is a solid 4.25 stars. It kept me interesting and the characters were likable. It just wasn’t what I was expecting.
Captivating read, wonderful characters and setting and a very strong storyline I love the interaction between the main characters Rexx who had been caring for the whelp as the invicta warrior he will look after the child until it reaches twenty years of age, doing everything possible to ensure his safety. Abigail is looking forward to seeing the baby she has adopted and she has been looking forward to adopting a baby so desperately, she ahs always wanted a family of her own and this all seems to be happening and she is ecstatic. Abigail and Rexx want to care for baby Rio and will do whatever is needed to ensure that their little one grows up to be happy and healthy and to always know that they are part of a family that loves them and will do anything for them. Rexx has his patience and his dragon is put on full alert as they travel on the Pererine express where he is kept on his toes to ensure that both baby Rio and Abigail are kept safe and sound as they all travel to their new home. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
“Rexx: Alien Adoption Agency #6” is the sixth book in the Alien Adoption Agency series. All the books are standalone but it is enjoyable if you read the books in order to appreciate the interaction with all the characters. Tasha Black is a talented writer and although the stories have a similar plot each story is different, intriguing and filled with suspense! This story takes you on a ride on the famous Iron Peregrine express train to their new home. And what a ride it is!!! Abigail has is getting the family she alway wanted since she has been accepted by the Adoption Agency and now has her adorable baby Rio. Oops, the baby comes with an Invicta dragon warrior, Rexx. He is part of the package as well. LOL The sparks fly and the air is electric between them. They take baby Rio on the fastest train to get to their Homestead. The ride is filled with everything: suspense, mystery, romance and action. There are a couple twists that I didn't see coming. I found myself swept up in the story and I honestly couldn't put it down. Time for you to see how they get to their HEA - enjoy another great read from Tasha Black!
So far this is my favorite in the series. I love Abigail, she is so sweet, and so loving she is perfect mom for baby Rio. Of course she is also found it interesting that she has feelings for Rexx the warrior assigned to watch over and protect the baby. Rexx and baby Rio pick up Abigail as she gets to her new home planet, now they must ride a train to get to their home. Rex is a warrior and a dragon shifter besides an alien, he comes from a humble background and takes great pride in his responsibility but doesn’t feel he is right for Abigail. He mistakes her for an heiress, which she definitely is not. While they struggle to accept their destiny to be together they have to overcome many hurdles they find on their train ride. From missing passenger, a sheriff and his prisoner, and outside influence trying to stop the train for release of the prisoner. I love how the author had so many descriptions of what was going on on the train, and of all the characters and what parts they played in this mystery. Such a good book, lots of anticipation, lots of mystery, some danger, friendships, and a young woman in a big dragon trying to save them all.
The other ladies who came to Lachesis to bond with their newly adopted babies (and find happiness with the attached Invicta warriors) did NOT have nearly the wild ride Abigail and Rexx had. I mean this literally. The ride to get to their new home was just fraught with weird goings on. And danger. There was a fair amount of danger there.
Fortunately for everyone, Abigail thinks quickly on her feet (courtesy of wrangling small children in her other life). When things start to turn hairy, she's there with her chonky baby and ideas on how to get things done. The train passengers were also lucky to have a dragon warrior traveling with them. Like Abigail, Rexx has good instincts, plus he's a good guy to have at your back in a fight.
A wild ride, a charming criminal, a train car full of suspects, a sweet baby, a dragon who's trying to be on his best behavior, and a lady who isn't about to let her dream get ripped away by anyone. *thumbs up*
This was my favorite of the three books on this moon. Although I have to be honest & say that these three are nowhere close to as amazing as the first three books of the entire series set on a different moon.
Abigail is sweet, super smart, beautiful, & an amazing instant mom. She is a great heroine. She saves the day & the lives of many while they are traveling on the train to their new home. I love her quick thinking, her ability to adapt & take charge. She is an amazing woman.
Rexx is reluctant at first & it takes him a bit to figure out things. He's a good man/dragon, an excellent dad & guard to baby Rio & so much more.
This book is full of excitement, intrigue, some danger & a lot of love. I enjoyed the revisit of the other dragons & their mates & babies at the end. I still wish for epilogues for each couple at the end of their respective books.
Message to the author--"You got me again--adored them all and their relationship."
A wonderful end to this series. Rexx makes some assumptions when he meets Abigail, and they do what most assumptions do. Still, she is his, even with some real issues. She immediately falls for the adorable baby and the man who is in charge of protection. It is obvious he has feelings for the little one, touching her heart.
Their trip home was on a famous train. It turned out that it was almost like one of the Mystery Train trips--only this one was for real. She has a lot of knowledge about the train and its workings which help -- he's a trained warrior they make a great pair.
Lots of action, steam, amazing characters, surprises, and a story not to be missed. Thank you, Ms. Black, for this wonderful story and series.
The Iron Peregrin is the Orient Express of the colony moon, Lachesis. Prepare to see Agatha Christie taking drinks with Hercule Poirot. Sherlock Holmes could be that shadow in the corner carefully observing one and all.
But the train has been stopped for an honest sheriff and his disgusting prisoner, Muncey, in need of a serious bath.
With a missing passenger, a strange, blue-haired man, and dire threats from outside; it seems the Old West has intruded. Abigail has special knowledge of the Iron Peregrine and Rexx is afraid that maybe the woman he wants; that his dragon clamors for, is a woman used to a lifestyle he cannot afford.
Bandits threaten with rocks and bullets, and a horrible surprise waiting at Devil's Canyon. Will the day be saved? Or is this the fairytale facing imminent doom?
Abigail gets more adventure than she was expecting when she arrives on Lachesis to meet her adopted baby. Sure, she was on a different planet, and yes, she was finally getting the chance to be a mother to a sweet Imberian pod-grown baby boy, Rio, but the huge Invicta dragon shifter that came with her son - he was a surprise. Then there is the train ride on the Iron Peregrine, just like the train she had ridden with her grandfather when she was a child. Only this time she was in the upscale areas and not the conductor's small cabin. They are told to stay away from the last train car. Why? Then there is a unannounced stop in the middle of nowhere to pick up two passengers...then the real trouble starts. Good thing she has found out that Rexx is her mate, he's not going to let anything happen to her or Rio.
I was given a copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Omg! What do you get when you combine a hunky shifter alien with a feisty woman, and an adorable baby in another universe far away? ... You get an amazing, page-turner by Tasha Black! ... “Rexx” is the 6th fan-freaking-tastic must read in the ‘Alien Adoption Agency’ series! ... With a fresh unique storyline, and great characters so relatable & witty dialogue, I did not want to put it down & read this in record time! ... Even tho I volunteered to read this before release day, it was without any outside influences & I usually buy kindle books whenever I am able to. So I can honestly recommend this to adult fans of fiction & now I can’t wait for more!
Abigail has been selected to adopt a baby through the alien adoption agency. Abigail helped raise her younger siblings and always wanted a family. Abigail is so happy to meet her baby and soon discovers the Invicta dragon warrior is part of the package as well. There is a spark between Abilgail and Rexx but they both have a few misconceptions about the other. They will be traveling on the Iron Peregrine express train to their new home. There is unexpected danger on the train and Rexx is pushed to his limit with his need to protect Abigail and Rio. I love this book, if you love shifters this is a must read.
I loved Rexx and Abigail's story, in fact it is one of my favorites of this series. Hefty helpings of sweet and cute combine with an abundance of feels to create a romance that melts your heart and has you swooning. I thought this couple was perfect for each other and their obvious chemistry supported that theory. The addition of some mystery, action and suspense serves as a tempting frosting on what is already a delectable cake. A terrific read and a superb entry in this always enjoyable series. I'm posting a unbiased, unsolicited review.
Such an exhilarating addition to the Alien Adoption Agency series. What an amazing train this couple's adventures begins with. Two strong, compassionate characters who make the perfect duo for the mysterious happenings that need to be resolved. Love the flow, joviality, intensity and of course the oh so sweet, heart-melting warmth on their mutual affection. Great series, read them all, this one is also perfect for reconnecting. Love it!! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to read and leave a review.
This book is so sweet and cute! Abigail and Rexx are an awesome couple with a few misconceptions along on the way. They take baby Rio on the fastest train to get to their Homestead and anything that could go wrong went wrong. From a missing passenger to the Marshall getting on board with a prisoner the hits just kept coming. Abigail knows all about these trains because her grandfather was a conductor on them while she was growing up and he took her on many train rides. When things get hairy because of a potential ambush Abigail and Rexx are calm, cool and collected but will the rest of the passengers be?
Love how everything meshed together. Too often we stereotype certain jobs and put people in cubbyholes. The forgotten baby monitor was a hoot as well as helpful in saving them all. Lanny at the end was a delight. The zingels were adorable. Rexx turning half way to dragon was able to get the uncoupled train cars back together. Abigail riding the train with her grandfather know a ton of information on how the train worker. The misunderstanding over the scarf was an interesting touch.
Another great book in this series! This book has steamy romance, suspense, wonderful characters and almost nonstop action. When Abigail meets her adopted baby Rio, she is overjoyed. When she meets Rexx, the Invicta warrior assigned to protect Rio, her libido tells her he is the one. They have to take a train to get to her new home and it is quite the ride. The heat between Abigail and Rexx just grows stronger. After they get through all the troubles along the way, they find their happily ever after.
This is another good read about a Terran woman adopting a child and her moving to another planet to start a new life. Not knowing that the person that has been taking care of the baby is a warrior / dragon shifter he is to stay with the baby tell he is ful grown twenty years then the baby will go back to is home planet and inherit part of the mineral right.what they didn’t count on is she is the warriors mate. But there is trouble on the trip to their new home and they have it get through it first. So enjoy another good read in the series!!
I enjoyed this story. It was a fun, steamy, and entertaining story. Abigail has been selected to be the mother of Rio, an Ibearen baby. She didn't realize that the Invicta warrior, Rexx, would be with the baby until he matures. Together they take the Iron Penegrine, a train, to start their new life. Rexx realizes quickly that Abigail is his mate but he has to convince her and him of that fact. Then trouble begins on the train and both Rexx and Abigail will use their knowledge and abilities to help arrive safely to their destination. I look forward to reading the other stories in this series!

They were taking the train to their new home. He thought ahe was the granddaughter of the man who invented the super train but her grandfather was a conductor of the train. An extra stop and outlaw prisoner and things started to happen. Missing passenger, hearing a escape plan over the baby monitor, helping the sheriff, she his mate, and her knowing the the train mechanics, inside help with getting the prisoner freed. Drama drama and they were able to save the train and everyone in it and make it to their new home
An Adventure Worth Taking. I like how these stories are sequenced. Although each starts from arrival, the couple begins their story from there. From the previous two books, we become acquainted with school teacher Abigail Shaw and she is quite the character and I enjoyed her the most since her optimism relates to me personally. I like how blue dragon Invicta shifter Rexx and her solve the mystery of the missing train passenger and what is actually hiding in the last train car. Their misconceptions of one another and how they communicate. An adventure worth reading.
What a fabulous ride on the Iron Peregrin! Abigail had a long trip to get to her son. But once she arrived and met not only Rio but Rexx- the invictus warrior who was bound to protect him, she found they had yet a longer trip to make on the railway. But once their trip was underway, a mystery presented itself- a good old fashioned "who done it" reminiscent of an Agatha Christi novel. A swoon worthy dragon shifter hero, a strong and capable heroine and a fabulous mystery? Sign me up!
A school teacher and a dragon warrior, a new mother and the toddler's protective guard. A train trip to a new home. The elements used to make this a fun, romantic, standalone tale spun by Tasha Black. And it was a fun and warm story, with mystery and sinister happenings as well. Bravo once again, Tasha Black!
I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So sorry to see the end of this series. I know all good things must come to an end sometime. Tasha Black never fails to us good books to read. Ones that keep us involved and intrigued. They all fascinating characters, themes and HEA. That's not including the hot handsome Aliens and strong minded women who give them a run for their money(credits). Always looking for the next book from Ms Black.
Great very easy to read book. Brilliant ending to this part of the series. I really loved this one. Both Abigail and Rexx are weary and hopeful. I loved them and was hoping that they had their happy ever after. All the characters are very well done. There are some hot sexy scenes and other elements to hold the readers interest. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. Very well worth reading.
