Angela Bishop, presidenta de EU, descubre que hay criaturas en el mundo de las que se pensaba solamente vivían en las historias. Tiene varios de estos seres trabajando para el gobierno y apenas se entera.
Le asignan a Blake Sullivan como guardaespaldas, ya que hay un tipo robando tecnología avanzada.
La historia me gustó. La dinámica de los protagonistas también.
Solamente tengo dos quejas.
-Me hubiera gustado que se desarrollará un poco más el romance, se sintió un poco como 'in your face'
-Ese final! Es como cuando te cortan una película antes del final. Te quedas como eh? Qué ha pasado? A dónde se fueron todos?
No tiene HEA o HFN.
Hubiera sido genial un aviso previo.🫠

This is an intriguing story with strong characters in Angela and Blake. Both are hesitant to have a relationship due to their pasts but the chemistry is too strong to deny. I enjoyed watching them come together. The author does a great job painting her scenes and bringing out all the emotions. Hopefully there will be another book to follow up.

Will Xerxes and Keyser succeed in their evil plans? Will Blake and his family be able to keep Benji safe? Loved this start - cant wait for the nex book!

Angela Bishop has the best and the worst job in America, she is the president and has the whole country to keep safe, she as the first woman president has so much pressure on her. When she needs protecting in walks Blake Sullivan, a dragon shifter from one of the oldest shifter clans in North America. Together they must figure out the threat to the shifters and figure who is trying take over the world and save the paranormal world also . Or will they be the ones to destroy each other.
Angela and Blake well they are one steamy couple . Angela is one tough woman who well is actually putting on a facade of being the President of the U.S , she really doesn't want to be there but is doing it to as a legacy to her late husband. She is tough but also has a sadness around her. Blake is well he is grumpy and kind of surly but he has had such a bad past. He lost his mate and his father banished him. So he has just been well himself . Until the day he gets an ultimatum by his brother and he finds his purpose. He is still surly but boy he is so sexy and protective you just want to melt. They are such a strong couple and really heat up the pages .
This is the first part of a really hot book. The author takes us on a bumpy but encouraging ride to finding each other. The characters are well written and complex. The story line is one of adventure and intrigue. I truly enjoyed this book and can't wait to hit book two and see what happens to these two. I know their adventure is not over and I can't wait to see where the author takes them and I pray they get their happily ever after. So if you want a a sexy dragon shifter and his soon to be mate on your summer reading list this is the book for you . A great summer hammock read.

“It was really excited about this book because of the blurb. A female that’s President? Plus there were dragons and magic with modern technology? Yes, this story had potential. I wouldn’t say it was a bad story but something felt missing. The paced was good and the plot interesting but yet I couldn’t quite fall in love with it. Though the dual POV was phenomenal! Don’t get me wrong having the perspective of the FMC is good. They tend to be more sweet, romantic and a little bit weak because many lack self-esteem. I ALWAYS prefer the MC’s perspective. They’re hotter, possessive and over the top protective and their minds are always dirtier lol. But THAT POVs I wasn’t expecting them. Anyway, back to the story. Like I said the story was interesting and kind of fast (that’s what I like) I believe the lack of explosive steam is what stopped me from loving the story and the whole ‘romance should be off the table’. I understand both Blake and Angela’s background story but the chemistry and connection was there. Ugh! Lol. Also, HFN? Not sure about that but definitely not the ending I was hoping or expecting.”

What’s better than a dragon shifter? A female president being thrown into the mix! Blake and Angela know how to turn on the heat - while at the same time know how to pull on our heartstrings. Both of them shared some unfortunate heartache throughout their lives, that by the end of the book you will be rooting for their love. The ending highly indicates that there may be a sequel to this story, and I highly hope so! I want to know where their blossoming love will take them and also see more of Blake’s brother, Tristan! Could there be a book for him too in the near future?

Awesome story - Great writing - Needed editing
First, I received this book for free for an honest review! I loved the story idea and the story itself as it played out. But I love all things dragon.
I appreciated the respect that Angela had for her husband to carry on with the vision that they both had after he passed away. I also love Blake and his laid back manner but at the same time the edge of just barely holding on that he has. This book had a lot of the same shifter mate scenarios but written in a way that made them seem different or at least there was enough of a difference that made the book enjoyable to read.
I look forward to the rest of the series coming out.

This book has it all a woman president, dragons, evil wizards oh my. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat. The storyline is enticing and succinct. The characters are well written and thought out. Can a man/dragon go from being a bit of a Casanova to the President's Bodyguard and why? Angela and Blake work well together except she is used to bring in charge and is independent and strong willed. From the losses of their pasts and the chemistry between them you will fall in love with their dynamic. This author tell an enthralling tale and because she does it so well that you will love their dynamic. Cannot wait for the next in this series.

Didn't Care For The Ending
I thought I was really going to like this book. The story was interesting. I liked the characters. There was plenty of action and drama. However, if incorrect grammar and spelling take away from enjoying the story, be forewarned. The author doesn't seem to know when to use "lay", "laid", " lie", or "lied" or that "bate" is spelled "bait", and so on. Worst of all the ending wasn't much of an ending and I felt cheated that there wasn't an HEA or even an HFN .

I really enjoyed this book, very well written with plenty of action and emotions that run the gambit. the attraction between Angela and Blake started out almost at the exact moment they met. When her son is kidnapped and she is almost assassinated Blake takes over to save her and bringing her to his family to get their help. When evil is trying to rule anything and everything it's amazing who comes together to fight for good. The only bad thing was the ending and hope the story will be continued to bring this couple together

This book was a first from this author but so worth it because she knows how to paint a picture to allow the reader to become so engrossed in the story that you never want it to end. I admit I first got this book because I love books about dragons but ms. Wilson had me when she had made Angela the president but the chemistry between Angela and Blake is so it's amazing.

She is the president of the USA. Blake is a dragon shifter who lost his mate and wants to be alone. But he becomes Angela's bodyguard due to his brothers coercion. This one has drama, suspense and action. The characters draw you in wanting to see where it goes and their happiness.

What is even more fantasy than a dragon bodyguard? A woman president of the United States. That said, I really enjoyed this book. Angela only learned about shifters after being president and having a dragon assigned as her bodyguard. I love that Angela is a very strong character and loved how the relationship between them developed. It ends is a semi cliffhanger, looking forward to book 2

Angela and Blake have chemistry along with a story that tugs at your heart. This is a beautiful and moving story of a second chance at love for two people who have lost their other halves. This is a sweet read and I am excited for the next installment.

I liked this book. The story was beautifully written and flowed beautifully. The characters were well defined within the story and they had such great chemistry. I loved the ending. If you like the works of this wonderful author, then this book is must-read.
