In a world where everyone was against them, they needed a Miracle. What no one had expected was to find their salvation in an abandoned town that was ready to collapse. Yet, that was exactly what happened when they moved to Miracle, Oregon.
Pryor Watts swore never to change, not even if he found his mate. He was stuck in the ways of his former herd even though they had kicked him out. It never occurred to him that fate didn’t care what he wanted, only what he needed.
Garian Tope had no idea how cruel the world truly was until he and his family were captured by humans and sold into slavery. He believed his luck had changed when the man who rescued him was his mate. If only his mate hadn’t walked away, leaving him alone to deal with the repercussions of what happened to him.
Bestselling author of the Cedar Falls Series, Hart Medical Center Series, Miracle Series, and Paranormal Wars Series, Shea Balik has always had a vivid imagination with stories running around in her head. Often her stories are taken from observations of other people with her own spin.
Traveling is one of her favorite ways of fulfilling her passion of people watching. You never know, one day you may spark her imagination for her next book.
Whether at home or traveling she is usually in front of her computer writing or curled up with a good book.
Finding that your mate has been sexualy abused is difficult for Pryor to accept and he doesn't handle the situation well at all. Dealing with his own hangups about not being the dominant partner is holding Pryor and Garian from completing their mating bond. After the abuse that Garian suffered it's difficult for him to assume the submissive role until he's had time to heal. Dealing with five children at the same time makes their life quite the circus. Overcoming their insecurities is going to take time. Building a home is what it's all about.
I enjoyed reading about the town of Miracle again, however, the beginning (Garian's hell) was quite a bit difficult for me to read through. Pryor had his issues but eventually he worked through them and had become the perfect mate for Garian. Good story with endearing characters. Intriguing and well done.
