BOOK TWO FOR THE DEVIL'S BRIDE. Part Two. This book does not immediately pick up where the devil's bride left off, as I used the first 23 chapters for introducing the new characters. Bast, Damien, and the rest of the group come into the book in chapter 24, and the story picks up where the last book left off. "It's something that truly cannot be explained without you experiencing it," I said, then put my nail to my throat, looking down into her curious eyes, pausing. "I will not do anything, I swear. But the only way for you to understand what I mean is for you to experience it. You'll need to drink my blood." "Drink your blood?" she gasped out and jumped back, looking from my throat to my eyes, shaking her head, "What will happen if I do?" "At first, you won't like it, and every part of you will tell you to spit it out, but you need to fight it and drink, anyway. Then comes the part that I cannot explain, but it will not hurt you in any way, I swear," I said as I pierced my throat, then pulled my hand away, watching as her eyes went wide in fear when she saw the blood dripping from my throat. "Go ahead," I encouraged, putting my hand at the back of her neck, pulling her to my wound. She pushed against me for a moment but hesitantly brought her mouth to my throat, accepting my blood. When she tasted it, she tried to push against me to get me to release her, but I held her tightly, forcing her to drink it. It was undeniable once the second wave hit her as she immediately moaned against me, pressing her hips against me, rolling, so she was lying on top of me, drinking my blood as quickly as she could, as the only thing she desired more than my blood, was my body. I chuckled softly as she moaned out, wrapping one hand around my shoulder, the other gripping my chest tightly before slowly making its way down until she met the waistband of my pants. As much as I wanted to allow her to continue her descent, I took her hand and placed it back on my shoulder. I suppressed my growl as she continued to rock back and forth against me, making it nearly impossible to not rip her clothes off and give her body what it was craving. 'I know you want it right now, little kitten. But I promised I would not take advantage of you, knowing what my blood was doing to you. But fuck, you are not making this easy.' I thought as I closed my eyes, doing everything I could not take her innocence, though her body was literally begging me to. ***********************************Alaric is the multibillionaire CEO of Athan Co where he has built his empire from the ground up. This is the company Mercy got the opportunity of a lifetime to be an intern to one of her personal heroes in the design department. Things are going just the way she dreamed of, until she suddenly gets an email from the CEO saying she's now his personal assistant, and to report to him first thing in the morning. Why does the multibillionaire care about the 18-year-old Mercy, and why does he want her to be his assistant? Mercy doesn't know, but I guess she will have to wait and find out.

Excellent read

This book was a joy to read. It had everything you'd want to find in a great story. Family ties, mystery, romance, a great plot, and some wonderful surprises. The love between the couples was not always a bed of roses, but there were some issues like in real relationships. I loved how the book had you laughing one minute and a little later almost crying at the pain some of the characters were going through. In the end it was beautiful!

Feeling fill

These 2 books have been nonstop action between a makeshift family of paranormal creatures. With some romance and just enough sex thrown in to keep you squirming. I haven’t been able to put them down! I’m telling you that you won’t be disappointed. 💯
