Jolene

My life changed that tragic day.
My parents died in a car crash, so I was forced to go and live with my brother for a while.
My brother, Max, who’s the lead singer of Full Moon.
Everyone treats me like I’m fragile. Like I will break any second.
But all I want is to be free again. To be myself again.

John

I’m the guitarist of Full Moon. I have it all.
A different woman in my bed every night.
Party like there’s no tomorrow.
My life is fun.
Until the little sister of our lead singer comes to stay with the band.
Turns out she’s not so little anymore.
She’s a spitfire of a woman who turns my life upside down.
But am I willing to break all the rules to be with her?

DESIRE is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the other books in the Full Moon series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with TRUST and FATE as the characters do interconnect.

Believe me when I say I really wanted to love this book. Best-friend’s-little-sister is one of my favorite tropes, but this book didn’t work for me. I’m not sure if I’ll read the rest of the books in the series but maybe I’ll give a chance to Jonathan and Camille’s story sometime.

The beginning was so sad, and it made me think that it would a great read but that wasn’t the case, at least for me. This book lacked depth and that’s totally okay, I’m all about light reads sometimes but it wasn’t just that. It felt like this book was all about the heroine’s sex life. At first, she wanted to spend the night with her boyfriend because she hadn’t seen him for a while after her parents’ accident because, as she said, she was horny. Then, she tried to find someone that would bring her the pleasure she wanted, and she ended up having sex with the hero (plenty of times let me just say) since there was already an attraction between them.

Of course, I did skip/skim-read a few parts (mostly the steamy scenes) because I just couldn’t stand reading about her sex life all the time. I have to say though that the last 15% or so, was good and that’s the only reason I’m reconsidering my rating. The question is, can I rate a book that I didn’t like for the most part as if I liked it just because of the last 15%? I don’t think so... 2 ⭐

First off I really recommend this series. This book will definitely keep your attention. Jolene and Max parents pass away in a accident which is heartbreaking. Jolene goes.to stay for.the summer.with her brother Max.who is in the band Full Moon. Her first day there in the.lounge she.is.fighting with the coffee.machine and in walks.John.John is somewhat of a party person and no serious relationships so of.course.he offers.to help not.realizing that its.Max's sister and boy has she.changed.Not only has her parents died but her boyfriend dumped her. These two have such a magnetic attraction they they decide to have a summer.fling and keep it secret. They banter back and forth and when they are alone hot moments finding about each other and dam some.panty melting moments .This whole.series is definitely worth ONE CLICKING.

This book is a great addition to this series and I've quickly become addicted to the flow of this author's words. The way she tells the story, filling it with emotions is a winning formula for me. Especially when the subject matters are so sensitive. We only caught glimpses of John in the previous book but this was really the first time we get to meet Jolene.

Now we all know from the blurb the circumstances of Jolene's arrival in John's orbit. But you don't really expect it to all happen so fast and become so beautiful to read. I love a story about a reformed manwhore rockstar, falling hard and fast for a bolshy woman. I read this book in a day and I didn't want it to end. This book is about a new beginning and finding yourself. This was not only the case for Jolene but also for John.

This book is a total recommendation from me. I've never been happier that I took a gamble on this author. She has become a must-read author for me. What a great read and series.

RATING: 3 STARS

I love when a book is standalone but it can be read as part of a bigger series universe.

Desire by Stacy Stone is the story of John, guitarist in the band Full Moon and Jolene, the little sister of Full Moon’s lead singer Max. Their relationship is the subject of this book, but you still get some cameos and appearances from the other members of the band. Thankfully, I was able to understand everything that was going in the series clearly despite not reading the first two books. I plan to go back to read Camille and Jonathan’s story in the first two books, Trust and Fate because their relationship seems awesome.

Jolene is the little sister of Full Moon’s lead singer Max, and at the beginning of the book, she is coping with the death of her parents due to a drunk driver. She joins her brother and his band on their summer tour so she’s not alone and has some time to figure out what she wants to do next. On the tour, she encounters guitarist John who she has VERY intense chemistry with. The only problem? He is in the same band with her brother, and they are best friends so any relationship is a BIG no-no. Both of them know Max would never approve, so it turns into a forbidden romance situation where they have fun together just for the summer with the promise not to fall in love. Of course, things don’t go quite as they planned…

It’s marketed as a “best friend’s sister” novel, but the big reveal happens towards the end of the story so there’s not a lot of time for Max to get mad at John. The “forbidden romance” trope is more of what comes into play with the “best friend’s sister” situation. I’m eager for the next installment in the series, which is the story of Max (Jolene’s big brother from this book), and Valerie, the love of his life that he left behind when he became famous. It comes out on August 27 (less than a week away) so I’m very happy my wait will be short.

Desire
(Full Moon #3)
Written by: Stacy Stone

Desire is Jolene and John’s story. We met John in books 1 and 2 of the Full Moon series. Jolene, although new to readers is known to the band members, as she is Max’s younger sister. I wouldn’t say little as she has recently finished college and is now in possession of her teaching degree. Life somehow always gets in the way though and in this case it isn’t life but the death of Max and Jolene’s parents in a car accident.

Lost, grieving and knowing that she has no intention of going back to her childhood home with memories, brother Max decided she would join them on their upcoming tour. In fact she invites her boyfriend Lionel to come along. Much like the last while has been for Jolene, shortly after arriving Lionel breaks off their two-year relationship, leaving Jolene at a loss. She’s lonely, missing her parents and wondering how did she not see this coming with Lionel.

John, the guitarist for Full Moon, happens upon Jolene in the break room wrestling with a coffee maker. Instantly he is attracted to her, but man she is the younger sister of his band mate, you just don’t do that, it’s stepping over the line. John however is caught hook, line and sinker and soon enough their attraction moves from looking to touching and kissing and whispering. Their attraction grows and the touching and kissing turns into a steamy hot romance.

Stacy Stone does a great job taking us on tour with Full Moon. We get to see Jonathan and Camille again, along with a few appearances of Karen and Mike as well. The character development in each book gives readers the ability to see the changes as relationships progress. The chapters in Desire flow wonderfully as we get to see the relationship between John and Jolene begin and blossom.

Readers get caught up in this story and before you know it, the book is done. Not to worry though, there are other members of Full Moon and I’m sure Author Stacy Stone has plans for us to spend more time with Full Moon and the characters we have become invested in.

Another great Full Moon rockstar romance. Although I have been left wanting so much more from these two. Desire can be read as a standalone but has crossover characters from the duet about Camille and Jonathan.

Stacy Stone brings an element of emotion to the Full Moon series that makes these characters lovable and you feel invested. This story is the turn of John, Full Moon's guitarist, and Jolene, younger sister to Max the lead singer of the band. This has the secret forbidden elements of the best friend's sister trope alongside the fun and excess expected from a good rockstar lead (he is cocky, confident, passionate).

What I loved most about Desire was the self acceptance and journey of discovery Jolene is on. After losing her parents and being dumped by a loser of a boyfriend, Jolene wants to discover more about herself and her sexuality. She wants to find her own way and her independence. Jolene is courageous and determined. The chemistry between her and John is lust at first coffee machine brush past and John is only too happy to help her explore her own wants and desires. These two fit together so well and their relationship develops quickly beyond the physical.

A hot and sexy rockstar romance. I cannot wait for more from these Full Moon boys.

The Full Moon series has been a joy to read. We started with a duet that was full of twists, turns, love, and betrayal. And now Desire, which is a standalone, continued what is a really great rock band series. John is the drummer of the band, although he embraces the rock story life, he also hasn't forgotten his roots, and enjoys nothing better than going home in between tours. Jolene is the sister of lead singer Max, and when tragedy strikes the family, she is thrown headfirst into touring with the band. The chemistry between Jolene and John is instant, but what starts as a summer fling could be so much more, but Jolene isn't one for the rock-star life, so what will happen at the end of the summer and how will Max react when he finds out what has been going on right under his nose. Stacy Stone, kept Desire moving at a great pace, the story was engaging, I loved how the band was woven into the storyline, so you still felt as if Jolene and John's story was part of it, rather than sitting alone.

Looking forward to the next one.

Wow! This one brought it all! The heat, laughter, and the tears.  I couldn't put it down.

Jolene is planning out her future, having just finished her last college exam. Until tragedy comes and rips the rug out from under her, in more ways than one.  Her brother's band is home from touring, and she has decided to stay with her brother for the summer.

John hasn't seen her in forever.  In fact, he doesn't even recognize her when he sees her fighting with the coffee maker at the hotel.  The desire is instantaneous.  However, when he realize it's his best friend's little sister... will he act on it?

Jolene and John have no prior history,  which means that all their feelings are fresh, not unrequited.  This gives the story more punch because their relationship build up from just a look.  I loved that.  The flames between them were perfect.

This is the third book, and though it isn't required to read the first two, side characters do interconnect.  If you love dirty talking alpha males, and women who discover that they are worth it for the right person, then you should grab your own copy!

Desire is the third book in the Full Moon series by Stacy Stone but unlike the first two books, where we follow Jonathan's and Camille's story, this one has a new leading couple: Jolene and John. I've already met John in the previous two books and didn't like his womanizer side. Their paths cross unexpectedly and all their innocent touches and kisses grow into a passionate love story.

Stacy Stone takes us to a new Full Moon tour, where we get to see Jonathan and Camille again and all the other characters we already met in the first two books. Her ability to perfectly portray all the feelings of the characters is yet again amazing. I really loved how the relationship between the main characters went from friendship to a lot more.

As a reader you will get caught up to the story from the first page to the last. You'll enjoy the perfectly developed characters and their emotional sides. I can't wait to read more of this series I fell in love with.

Desire is a fun rockstar romance fairly light on the angst with a brother's best friend trope. Jolene is dealing with the loss of her parents, so she joins older brother Max on tour with his band Full Moon. There she meets guitarist John whom she shares an instant chemistry with. John proposes a summer fling, which she agrees to under the condition neither fall in love. John is a sweet male lead who despite being a star really only has eyes for Jolene. Jolene is on a path of self discovery and experiences that she chooses to embrace fully while navigating her grief. Both characters felt likable and let their chemistry guide them. I loved how much both loved their family and friends. I do wish there was an epilogue of their future but maybe we will see more of them in the upcoming books for the rest of the band.

Desire is a best friends little sister / rockstar romance story that warm your heart and heat up your Kindle.
After losing both parents in a tragic accident and not wanting to be surrounded by memories Jolene goes to stay with her older brother Max and his band Full Moon for the summer.
Jolene is struggling emotionally, and to make her circumstances worse her boyfriend dumps her.
Enter John, Full Moon's sexy guitarist. The pull between these two is magnetic, the connection instantaneous, and the chemistry is sizzling.
But can they really have a secret summer fling and keep their hearts out of it?
These two and their banter and sexual tension had me laughing, swooning, smiling, a little hot and bothered, and rooting for a HEA.
Desire is the perfect addition to this already addictive series!!
I can't wait for more Full Moon in Book 4.

Really steamy and heartwarming story!

I totally loved the instant chemistry between Jolene and John and the forbidden aspect of the brother's best friend with the "baby" sister.

Even when this is a standalone it's part of a series and I have to admit the Full Moon series has claimed a spot in my heart, all the characters are so charming and strong and revisiting Camille and Jonathan in this book was a very welcoming bonus.

I cant wait for Max's story next!

Jolene joins her brother on tour after her parents die in a car accident and her boyfriend dumps her. While on tour she sees John after not seeing him for several years. It is insane attraction at first sight for these two, but since she is John's best friends younger sister, they don't act on it. That only lasts for so long though, they are not able to keep their hands off of each other.

They decide to have a relationship in secret, but you can only keep your feelings secret for so long. Jolene and John had amazing chemistry and I really enjoyed watching their love story grow.

This is the third book in the highly entertaining Full Moon series and this time it features guitarist John and Jolene the younger sister of lead singer Max. When their parents are killed in a tragic accident Max has not choice but to bring Jolene along on the band's tour. The band members have always known Jolene his younger sister but now she is all grown up! This could spell trouble especially when John meets Jolene and is instantly attracted to her.

He becomes her protector and friend especially after he witnesses an upsetting scene between Jolene and her cheating ex. They start a passionate secret fling which is only supposed to last for the summer before they each go back to their normal lives. It's a diversion from her grief for Jolene and also a summer of discovery as she learns more about herself and her wants and needs. For John his world is turned upside down by this innocent younger girl who as time goes on becomes so much more to him than a friend.

This is a heart-warming summer romance and such an enjoyable read as you watch Jolene change from being a young girl to a woman in love and see John change from a world weary rocker to someone with more purpose in life now he has found someone special. It is not all unicorns and rainbows there are some very hot and sexy scenes that will heat up your kindle but all in all the story will leave you with a smile on your face.

🎸🌟🎸🌟🎸🌟🎸🌟🎸 REVIEW!!

Everything about her calls to me in a way I’ve never felt before -John

What an exciting addition to the Full Moon series! So much passion mixed with desire, feelings of ecstasy, but most of all, steamy, fire scenes 🔥🔥. John and Jolene’s story is packed with excitement, sneakiness, and fighting themselves with their true feelings for the other. Their entire relationship is explosive and the connection is off the charts!

I’m not planning on running tonight. -Jolene

Stacey’s ability to connect with her readers, making them feel every emotion these characters feel, with such abundance, is overwhelmingly beautiful! The character development with John and Jolene was so in depth, making me feel like I’ve known them my entire life. Also, the update of Johnathan and Camille was executed perfectly!

That was a challenge I couldn’t back away from. -John

I definitely recommend this entire series! Another 5 🌟 rockstar romance with more yet to come!

One thing is for sure, she’s mine now. -John Wilder

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is John and Jolene’s story. John is the sexy bad boy guitarist in Full Moon, while Jolene is lead singer Max’s younger sister. Jolene has just graduated with a teaching degree, when tragedy strikes her family, and she finds herself touring with her brother’s band for the summer. There is an intense chemistry between John and Jolene which is undeniable, and they keep their growing relationship secret from the band. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, and has witty banter, heartbreak, loss, grieving, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Swoonworthy Read💜

Desire absolutely leaves you with the desired effect. This is one helluva a swoonworthy read laced in passion and desire.

ALMOST a five star!

I really enjoyed this book! The build up throughout the whole book was great. Seeing Jolene come out of her shell after her parents death and watching her bloom was amazing! John is super sexy and helps her rediscover herself.

However I think the ending was a littler abrupt. Where was the confrontation between John and Max. I mean yeah he caught them but I was expecting more. I feel like there should’ve been a scene where John tells Max he’s in love with her.

Would definitely read again though and so far I am loving this series!

It starts with tragic accident then moves on with Jolene moving in with her brother, Max. She meets John and her sexual life begins in earnest. John is a good guy. They both decide to not fall in love but...
I thought the ending was rushed and too abrupt. It forces the next book to wrap up this one.

This was like a fairytale. John is a great guy and he’s perfect in waking Jolene up, sexually and likewise.

This book was so good! I loved John they didn't cover him much in the first two books. He is so sweet and I loved him tremendously. Max's little sister was just like a lit of us and I loved her as well. Wanted an epilogue but hoping more will be in following books.
