Why always use the excuse of protecting heroine by having sex with so many other women. Why make out heroine is suddenly going to get back some self respect and dignity by ignoring the craphead but then as soon as he says a few words she melts again?! I was really rooting for her actually being with another man ( first time ever as I actually prefer innocent heroine’s) because this manwhore craptard deserved to have his heart broken…..but no she was still weak for him and chasing him even after he ghosted her. She should have slept with a hundred men before even thinking of forgiving him! I still wouldn’t have but oh well.

It does not make any sense to me to pine after a man who has proven by his actions time and time again he doesn’t give a shit about you. There are doormat heroines, and then there’s this prize. I did read to the end because surely she would have had some kind of character growth?
Nope.
Maybe if the author liked this heroine, I might have, too. Not my kind of heroine, and maybe not my kind of author. Might try another one of hers in case this is a one off…but I won’t hold my breath.

3.5 stars. I've come to know what to expect from an Eve Black book, and if you hate manwhores and slightly doormat heriones she's not for you. The H and h here are pining for each other yet the H has put on the brakes from the beginning and the h has no idea how he feels. She's supposedly frumpy and the women the H takes home are always skinny and supermodel like. This winner here has slept with over 1300 girls in a 4 year period and it's right in front of the h's face. So when they're finally together and yet she doesn't ask him to get, you know tested for STDs, I was like girl stop 🛑. So back to the FMC body types that I kinda have a problem with. All of Eve's FMCs are described as curvy and over size 16, and the mean girls and ow's are always skinny and that get's on my nerves just a bit. I've met a many curvy b***** in my day so body types have no relevancy for me in that aspect of mean girlness. As I'm a size 10/12 we're rarely described in books 😂. Hey that's ok 🥲. As for the story it's the usual OTT manwhore with a girl who doesn't feel pretty enough to be with the hot AF H. These books are definitely for more trainwreck entertainment purposes. I enjoy some of these books because there will always be angst from an OW. So if that's your thing give it a try. If not, pass it on by.

Blaze and Anna have been best friends for years, and most of that time she's crushed on him, but has had to watch him with endless other women, night after night. Will the time ever come for these two friends to become more, and stay more? Or will she be just another one night with no repeat as is Blaze's thing?
Anna doesn't know it, but Blaze has had feelings for her as long as she's had for him. She also doesn't know the reason he's never acted on those feelings, the reason why he goes through women like an addict. It's that very reason, though, that will continue to keep them apart if he does not get some intense therapy for his problems. So he'll just have to figure shit out, claim his woman, or she'll be the love and the friend that got away.
Whew, this story was a big roller coaster of a emotions. Blaze was a big mess, and honestly, I am still not sold on whether he's good enough for poor Anna, who deserves a whole man, one who always put her first. Now, don't get me wrong, his story is tragic and I felt for him because of it, but he also unnecessarily hurt her one too many times and never told her what was up until the very end. I didn't like that much, but I appreciated how hard it was for him to tell her, and that he finally came clean. Their story is intensely emotional, tragic, and steamy, though, so 4 stars is fair.

Breaking Blaze is full of heartache, pain, love, longing and I loved every minute of it.
I found myself relating to Anna a lot. Anna is sweet, kind, beautiful but her smile isn’t as real as she tries to make it seem. Every night, she sees her best friend Blaze taking a new woman home and it breaks her, piece by piece. She is in love with him and she knows he doesn’t feel the same way. She knows that she doesn’t compare to the women he brings home each night and it makes her even more self-conscious of her curves. It’s heartbreaking to feel like someone doesn’t or won’t love you because you aren’t skinny or don’t look a certain way.
Blaze is sexy, charming, a ladies man but it all stems because of his childhood. There’s a reason why he is the way he is and does things the way that he does. Every night he takes home a new woman… so that he temporarily tries to forget about the one woman he can’t have. Engrained from him at a young age, Blaze pushes away all the good things in life and Anna… he wants her to be his. But he can’t have her. He thinks that because of what he was told every day and believes with every fiber of his being, that he isn’t good enough for her and never will be. Trying to stay away when you love someone so much…. That’s not easy and when the dam breaks… explosive and hot chemistry!!!
I love reading about heroines like Anna that I can relate to. The tug of war of emotions, the longing, the heart-wrenching moments, the love, passion. Those make for an amazing read. This was my first book by Eve and I loved it!!!

The MC’s annoyed me
I am sorry but who would keep going back for such punishment and forgive so easily. The story wasn’t bad but the h uughhhhhh, how much of a doormat can you be. Even if she decided to go back to him she should have let him grovel a whoooollleeee lot more. He messes up so badly and one explanation (no matter the reason) …then her legs are wide open and she forgive all!!!!! The less said about the H the better. I am fed of this is I want you but will sleep with everyone but you “because I am not good enough for”. It made the sex scenes lose the steam because I was just so irritated with both of them.

Boring and Predictable + typos
Skillet-worthy. TSTL FMC and boring MMC.
He sleeps around a lot after coming back from enlisting (omg my dad is going to kill the FMC, but he’s been dead for years, so sleep with a lot of other women bec he loves the FMC) … ummm, what? This storyline is very light on plot. Every character is a poorly portrayed stereotype.
The FMC is a Size 18, but “light as a feather” (insert side eye), incredibly plain and “fat” is called out several times. I did chuckle when the author had to stress that the MMC was in construction and worked out a lot, but the FMC is plain, chubby, delusional and pathetic (all author descriptors). Overall, not sure what vibe this author is going for with this FMC - glamorizing an unhealthy lifestyle, maybe? It doesn’t seem like the author likes this FMC, and that comes across in this book. The MMC is not OTT/JP or an Alpha, do not be deceived.
Even worse, the best friend/co-worker are both white washed Latinx. Sigh.
So many typos and syntax errors - sheer disbelief when I read that this author works as an editor for other published authors … but apparently does not use an editor herself.
This was boring. I do not recommend. Save your time. Read something else if you like this trope.

This book I feel is good and I can say that I'm not completely sold on Blaze reason for his actions. I get the hero side but what happened to communication?
That being said, Blaze and Anna story is steep in drama, secrets and you will form an opinion on our leads. The build and plot work. I would have liked Anna to make him prove himself more but the years and secrets between them made that difficult.

Blaze and Anna story is a quick read. It has so much emotion though. One minute you rooting for them the next you want to hit him upside his head. But in the end it's all that matters. I can't wait for more I want Sallina book.

These 2 have been friends for a long time not knowing they both feel the same way to each other. Theres so many emotions I would recommend tissues and padding for your eReader haha! Overall, I loved this book and it ended on a HEA!

He loves her whole heartedly as well but will not let himself have her. His father has taken each and every thing he has ever loved from him.At times i wanted to reach into the pages and wring his neck for hurting them like that. This was a 2.5 star, but I rounded down because the MMC was sooooo ridiculous.
Anna and Blaze are BFFs with a side of luuuuurv. It's mutual, only for Plot Reasons Blaze feels they can't be together, so for the last 3-ish years, he's been a total man-whore, sleeping with anyone and everyone, presumably with a new girl every few days, while Anna just sort of... waits for him to notice her. They are so close they live in the same building and his "hunting ground" for new women is her place of work. So not only does she know he has aaaalllll the smex, he has to illustrate it for her by picking up one-night-stands right in front of her. One night, Anna has a realization and starts pulling away. Suddenly, that's when Blaze realizes what she means to him. I guess...
I just had no patience for Blaze by the end of it. At some point if your trauma is bad enough you're hurting the one person you allegedly love above everyone else over and over again, seek help. There's no shame in it and he made good enough money that it would have been available to him, yes, even in this economy.

Oh this hurt my heart. The pain H went through as a kid to the hurt h went through because of H. So much pain. Glad they got their HEA, Because honestly after all she went through she could have started new. I get why he did it though, That kind of thinking can be hard to break. Glad it came together in the end and hoping to hear more about them in the next book.

really torn
I got really upset reading and I stopped and started again. I didn’t like the fact that Anna gave Blaze a second and third chance so easily. This helped to feed the stereotype the BBW aren’t baddies in their own right. Seeing that Blaze failed as a friend one of the most important roles you could ever play, why should he get the opportunity to have her heart. Regardless of what his father did it was no excuse.

A wonderful story that had me hooked from the beginning. I loved the characters and the well crafted intensity that they exuded. I loved the storyline which was so intriguing and entertaining. Nicely done. . I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Giving this 2 stars because there were parts that I actually enjoyed about this book. For the most part, I was left feeling very frustrated. After reading through this, I though to myself, I should have listened to the reviews I’ve read about this author. Doormat h. That’s it.
