Detective Simon Dark doesn’t care about any of that. All he wants are simple cases that pay the bills and replenish the liquor cabinet. Simon often wonders if the job or the alcohol will kill him first.
A striking bombshell saunters into her office. Her husband has gone missing and she’s willing to 50 million dollars to get him back. Ever a sucker for a pretty face and with aspirations of collecting wealth beyond his wildest dreams, Simon takes the case.
He'll soon wish he hadn’t as a host of killers break from the shadows, hounding him every step of the way. It will take every resource in his possession if Simon is going to survive long enough to find the missing husband and collect his due.

Really a good read
I have really fallen in love with this author. The Era of the novel is great. Adding family involvement and commitment and passion. As the main character longs for it. I think this was a suspenseful and great read.

Riveting story—highly recommended
