This was by far the worst story I have read this summer and I don't usually ever rate story in that level, but my goodness I read this book all the way to the end to make sure that I was reading what I was reading and people, this was so not good. Essence was the worst female lead character out there. She started it out good, strong, educated, workaholic, loyal, good friend but a 360o turn was made and man was she a disappointment from allowing Keyes to continue playing her and then had the nerve to be confused between Saint and Keyes and still kept the baby...hell to the no on my end. Malachi "Saint" was a sweetheart and I loved how he took care of his house and ended everything before moving on to Essence but what truly irked me was how soft and whimp and just no personality he got for going after her with all of her baggages, and undecisive persona. He started out strong, alpha, boss man and finished as a simp. Keesha, Keyes, and Demi/Honey actually made this story better and made me be able to finish and reviewed it. Karma was a very good visitor to them. Surprised of Harmoni with Draco and Karlos was really good friends as well as Monet. Can't recommend it at all. There was no flow to it, no substance and was simply subpar in every way.
This book was so good! Not predictable at all. Keyes had to much going on and I one oiunt, I thought he had both of Essence friends pregnant. I liked how Keesha came forth and told Saint what was up but I would if left State and told him that lol.. Poor Demi brought that on herself! I definitely recommend this book.
Wow was this a super fast read. Keyes not worth a nickel. Malachi. Wow. he wasted no time. I was a bit disappointed that it moved too fast. But good anyway
Unfortunately, within 5 seconds of reading the book, Keesha jumps across a counter and is fighting some girl over Saint. I’m just not in the mood to read about another ill tempered, immature and silly young lady. Where is the creativity in that? Oh well, maybe the next one will be more to my liking.
Wow. Why is it always your supposely best friend stab you innthe back. Demi felt Essence hands. Keys, Keesha met them fate. Draco,, Harmoni, Karlos, Money. Essence mom I love her. Good read
I enjoyed this book, but I did feel the characters were rushed and didn't get a chance to develop slowly. I loved how Saint, Draco, and Karlos were true friends. It was good Keesha saw the light! Demi was off her rockers. I loved Ms. Lou!
This was my first time reading your work and I must say in was very impressed. You have gained yourself a new fan can't wait to read more of your work.
I enjoyed this book it was very entertaining with Honey and Keyes doing the most. Dang poor Keesha didn’t have to go out like that but u get what u get when u grimy. Glad they all found love
Great Read This standalone was good from beginning to end. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters and I couldn't put it down. Full of drama, action, lies, secrets, betrayal, jealousy and deceit. That made it entertaining and a great read. Keyes was a !ying, cheating snakes that got exactly what he deserved. For Saint it was love at first sight with Essence, and that love keeping brewing in everything he did. Demi/Honey was really crazy in more ways than one. Highly recommend this standalone. Great job Shania B
Good book. That side chick was definitely a mystery. I kept going back and forth with who i thought it could be. I was wrong lol. I would liked to have seen a little more of the friendship between Essence and Demi, and the Honey character was a little bit much but overall it was a good entertaining read!!!
Great read from beginning to end!!! I felt that Essence knew deep down that Demi wasn’t a good friend because she was didn’t wanna tell her about Keyes spending her money. Keyes and Demi ain’t shit. I’m happy they both got what they both deserved!! Keesha got her karma as well. Saint is the type of man is women are looking for lol he is so dedicated to the women in his life and knows how to protect them to. Happy him and Essence got married!!!!
Everybody ain't yo friend everybody ain't yo partner. Mo3 said it better. That's the realist song I've heard in 10 years plus. Demi or Honey whatever her name was wasn't shit. She sat in Essence face smiling and shit. Knowing damn well the whole time she was creeping with her ninja. Clearly her mammie didn't teach her "The same way you got them is the same way you'll lose them. Then he was on that grimy shit too. Then you got Keesha trying to be sneaky ass.
“Temptation is the desire to do something, especially something wrong or unwise.” and “Pain connects people too,” are my favorite quotes from the book. I absolutely LOVED this standalone. It took me awhile to finish it because I kept re-reading so many parts. Saint was definitely a breath of fresh air. I hope a spin-off is in the making!!!
I really liked this book from beginning to end. The author gave the characters life. They were fun and intriguing. Who knew that there was a connection that would be acknowledged later. Saint and Essence were made for each other and the love was so sweet.
I loved the storyline and couldn’t stop reading it until the end. I’m glad everyone got their happy ending and all the crazy folks were dealt with. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
I enjoyed reading this book. I'm glad Keyes and Keesha got took out. I was tired of them any way! Shania B is a great author. I enjoy everything I read by her!!!
This book was very good standlone. Saint was truly a sweetheart and took Alot from his so called gf Keesha she was a very miserable person and wad very petty she played wit fire and everything backfired on her. She got what she deserved and so did Keyes he wasnt a thug at all more like a wannabe everything but all the bad stuff he did he accomplised nothing. This showed that blood dont you family. Also when you think that you know someone you really Dont! This could of been a good series. Would love to hear more about other couples as well. Great read
Beautiful story!! First time reading this author and it was good..Kept me very interested and had a lot for drama...Loved the chemistry they had for each other...Would read this author again!! Wonderful job 🙌🙌
