Ira is a Fixer, a child raised and trained to “fix” broken fairy tales by an organization the Fixers refer to as DeadEnd. Because once you enter a fairy tale, there’s no getting out.

Ira has been assigned to Neverland. You know Neverland, where Peter Pan lived because he didn’t want to grow up. Neverland, with fairies and pirates. Neverland, which has consumed thirty-one Fixers before Ira and has been dubbed “toxic” by the Operators of DeadEnd. But Neverland needs to be fixed. It’s been toxic so long that every Neverland story in the real world is being transformed into something entirely not child friendly.

Ira comes from a long line of Fixers. Every female in her family for four generations had been Fixers. She’d been at DeadEnd since she was seven. And when she was assigned her world, Ira was ecstatic. She studied every rendition of Neverland, loving the new adult twists. She was psyched to see what was in store for her.

But when she enters Neverland by falling endlessly through the stars, she is not at all prepared for how dark and broken it is. There are some children, but the violence far outweighs the lighthearted, fun, make-believe world she’d imagined. And Peter Pan… well, he was not at all a child anymore.

She was equally disturbed to find that pirates, fairies, and mermaids were the least of her worries. And disheartened to discover that she has no idea what the true problem is. Where the toxin comes from. What had broken their fairy tale. Never mind how to fix it.

However, Ira was not at all disappointed to be surrounded by wonderful men. All of which were big, gorgeous, and interested – except for the elusive Pan. But who should she choose? Can she trust them? Will they help her fix their world, or are they only interested in climbing into her bed? And why was there a weird lack of women in Neverland?

Everything seems endlessly messed up and is getting less clear as she moves along. It isn’t for quite some time that she realizes the fairy tale she’s been sent in to fix has actually been infected by another…

**This is a full-length, new adult, reverse harem, dark romance novel with a ‘why choose’ ending, meaning the main character gets a happily ever after with more than one man. It contains magic, demons, shifters, cursing, explicit sex scenes, blood, murder. This is a MMFMM book with a STRONG focus on the woman (although there is some MM and MMF in here, too). This is a book 4 book series.

Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals. She has a habit of creating secondary, and often time tertiary, characters that take over her stories. When she can't fall asleep at night, she thinks up new scenes for her characters to act out. This, of course, is how most of her meant-to-be-thrown-away characters tend to end up front and center - and utterly swoon-worthy! Don't ask her how many book boyfriends she has...

When not writing, Crea is an avid reader. Her TBR pile is several hundred books high (don't even look at her kindle wish list or the unread books on her tablet). Sometimes, she enjoys crafting; sometimes, exploring nature; sometimes, traveling. Mostly, she enjoys putting her characters on paper and breathing life into them. Oh, and sleeping. Crea loves to sleep!

What was she thinking?

So I am a pretty massive Crea Reitan fan. I have read Mal's series three times I think...I was so excited for Ira's story and eagerly scooped up Neverwith as soon as it was released.

I like Ira a lot, although I feel like she is missing some of the depth and complexity that made Mal such a strong FMC. The problem is that for me as a reader it's almost impossible to focus on the storyline when the author is throwing around a slur for Indigenous folks every other page.

Seriously, who told Crea that calling her 'Native' characters' race "Redskins" was a good idea? It's wonderful that she renamed the tribe to Brangwen or whatever but it's all negated by using another slur constantly.

I really wanted to give Crea the benefit of the doubt and was hoping for maybe a deeper unpacking of the name...nope, the Redskins as described as wearing loin clothes and bones, and are not actually people. The main Redskin character in Ira's harem exists to serve and protect her, sitting like a piece of furniture in front of her bed silently every night. And ultimately the *twist* that the Redskins truly aren't people, does nothing to undo the discomfort and harm that comes from pages upon pages of stereotypes and slurs.

I understand most Indie writers aren't going to have the budget for a sensitivity editor but at the very least, do some research on how to write about marginalized folk if you are going to use them in your story.

Crea always manages to write the most complex and imaginative stories! This time we have a new take on Peter Pan and Neverland. Ira is a fixer who is set to try to mend Neverland, a similar fate to Mal having to fix Wonderland in Crea’s other DeadEnd series. The world Crea creates is rich and complex so make sure you have the time to be able to devote to reading this thoroughly so you can absorb the details. Well written and fast paced, I’m invested in seeing where Ira’s story heads to next with her lost boys!

A new favorite!!!

I have already started down the rabbit hole with this author and her Broken Fairy Tales when I blew through her Chronicles of Blood and Chronicles of Madness series. I loved the whole concept of fairy tale “fixers” and naturally I was eager for this release once I saw it in pre-order.

I’ll be honest, I am not too familiar with Peter Pan’s story but I know the basics. With that being said, I could easily see the correlation between the original and the author’s twist on the tale. I may have missed a few subtle nods and cameos but the main gist wasn’t lost to me. The writing, just like all the other books, was phenomenal and attention grabbing. Once I started reading, I was completely engrossed and found myself lost in the world with Ira and her “lost boys”. The plot is exciting yet puzzling. Usually I can guess pretty easily what the big plot mystery will be but here I am not sure which direction the author will go in as I have so many possible theories.

This book does contain MM and focuses on a polyamorous relationship between the characters. So far all the characters are unique and have distinct characteristics that sets them apart from each other so it’s easy to distinguish them all. I will admit that Akule is already my favorite and I can’t wait to see Ira and Akule develop more of a lover’s relationship. 😍😍😍

I cannot wait to get my greedy hands on book 2 just so I can return to Neverland with Ira and her men. I don’t think I can recommend this book enough for those who love RH with sexy MM, plenty of steam, complex plots, and captivating world building.

Toxic twist on Neverland

Neverwith is the next installment of our Toxic Fairytales as we head to Neverland for an awfully big adventure.
This is a new series with links to the Toxic Wonderland series however you do not need to have read the wonderland series to enjoy Neverwith.

This is a Dark PNR RH that includes
Brooding bad boy Mages
Vampire’s
Shifters
Merkin
Violence
Sexual content with lots of MM.

Ira is a fixer sent to Neverland which has become Toxic. A Mysterious beast is infecting the land with darkness and age pockets have turned up on the island causing everyone to grow up. This Neverland is very different from the Neverland we all know and love. And as for Peter Pan, gone is the eternally youthful playful leader of the Lost boys, Pan is all grow up complete with tattoos and a bad boy brooding attitude.
When Ira lands at Pans door he doesn’t think much of her, he’s seen 31 try and fail before her. Is Ira just another ‘Lady’ hoping to fix the Island or could she be ‘The Lady’ who can restore Neverland to its former glory.

I’ve always been a fan of Peter Pan and this is a wonderful twist on a much loved story, the characters are all different and each one is lovable in their own way. So far we have 2 males Ira is forming a bond with but with lots of potentials being introduced. Crea is the Queen of large harems and Poly relationships so I’m excited to see where the next book takes us.
As this is book 1 of a new series it ends on a cliffhanger and honestly I could have cried, I need book 2 immediately.

Talk about an addictive story! I love the dark fairytale retellings of Crea Reitan and this one appears to be even better! I mean, who didn't dream of visiting Neverland when they were a kid? Well, now we get to go as adults and it's just amazing. Once I started the book, the only thing that could keep me from reading it was having to go to work or else I would've read it in one sitting. That's how incredible this book is. Ira is such a badass with her machete and has absolutely no fear of standing up to Peter Pan and the likes of him. Also, I'm putting that out there, believe me when I say you can't wait to meet Akule, Never Say and Lirit.
Overall, it's a very interesting take on the original Peter Pan story and what I love the most about Reitan's writing is that she incorporates so many details from the original book! It's shaping up to be an extraordinary story :)

ira had one moment of badassness and that’s it. i felt duped betrayed even. the men are attached to her just cause. i found nev and peters relationship to be way more interesting bec at least they have history.

as for the plot and to that i say what plot. nothing happened. no character building no relationship building and we didnt even find out what’s causing what she needed to do to fix the problem. just going from a place to another over and over again.

the real question is do i want to go through another book to figure out what’s going on? i don’t think so

also saying “redskin” instead something else was very hard to read esp when the characters were done so stereotypical

I absolutely loved reading this! I honestly can't way to read it over and over again. I love the detail in the novel and also how even though it is Reitain's take on Neverland she has still included information from the original story. I love the creativity in the slang and the introduction to a new group of mythical beings. The FMC is a title baddie and hit the ground running. The relationships and history between the characters are already complex and it will be exciting to further delve into it.

Neverwith definitely exceeded expectations and delivers an addicting read ❤️ I can't wait for book two in the chronicles of red.

Another DeadEnd smash by Author Crea Reitan, who somehow twists whimsy, action, steam, affection, thrills, and an unexpected wildness into an adult fairytale. Neverwith gives us the start of The Chronicles of Red and Ira a "born" Fixer for Neverland. Ira falls through the stars to Neverland and is very surprised when it's not quite like the book. The adventure to fix Neverland is on, who will help? Pan? Lost Boys? Pirates? Mermaids? Fairies? If you enjoyed fairytales as a kid and wanted to be a lost girl or lost boy, or maybe you still want to be a lost boy or lost girl...this book is for you! Beware though...that cliffhanger will getcha..

This is the first book in Ira’s journey to fix her own fairy tale, Peter Pan, and I really enjoyed it.

Ira has been preparing for her entry into Neverland for around 20 years but is still not quite prepared for how twisted Neverland has become. She butts heads with Pan throughout most of the book because both she and Pan are natural leaders and Ira is also not willing to take Pan’s bad attitude lying down.

Pan is not the carefree, loveable boy from the story that we know. He’s hard, harsh and doesn’t take Ira’s arrival well, for reasons that become more apparent towards the end of the book. For most of the book I didn’t really like him, but once I learned certain things I changed my mind and now he’s not so bad.

I’m looking forward to finding out more about Nev, Lirit and especially Akule and seeing how Ira’s relationships with them progress as well as seeing who else joins the group.

curious

This is a good start to Ira’s story in the Established Dead End Universe, that previously gave us the story of Mal. You do not have to read the previous books in the universe to start this. Ira is a fixer and has to figure out what is wrong before she can try to fix anything. This character is written strongly and shows vulnerability where needed. This is a mystery so there will be plenty of surprises and twists. This also has a cliffhanger ending.

Ira’s expectations of her tale to fix were vastly different to what she ended up finding. Nothing was truly as expected and she was not prepared for what she found. The writer has done it again producing an amazingly exciting g read with characters you fall in love with. This is a great start to a new series and cannot wait to see what happens next

This was a very interesting read that once I started I had a very hard time putting down. It moves along at a speed which made for a relaxing and comfortable read. The characters are amazing and you feel as though you have known them forever and you want to know more about them. The story grabs you keeping you reading till the end and then you are wanting more. This is a must read and needs to be on your TBR list.

The book is filled with wonderful world building and beautiful imagery; detailed descriptions of the surroundings and the characters really immerse you in the story. I always love multiple POV and Neverwith doesn’t disappoint, even if there are some men whose brains I still want to get in… Hopefully in the coming books. 🤞🏻 Which I will definitely be reading to see exactly how Ira doesn’t choose. 😉

This was the first book I've read by Crea Reitan and it was a nice surprise. I love the unique story premise of having to fix fairytales and all of the ways she incorporated the classic tale into one of her own. At times it felt like a little bit of an info dump leaving me a bit confused due to having such a unique and insane world along with having so many characters from the lost boys, to merkins, to pirates, and more. However, I really enjoyed the fast pace as well as the steamy fast burn romance. This is an RH book with lots of MM (which I like). Ira doesn't get with all of her guys right away but we get to see the start of her unique relationship with all of them. It does end on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what comes next!

Absolutely Amazballs

Sometimes when I start a new series from an author I already love, I wonder if They'll be able to keep the same theme of awesome. I would just like to say that this book failed at keeping.... Because honesty is surpassed the first book of wonderland. Which is beyond crazy since I was obsessed with it and there's for became obsessed with everything created by Crea. But holy pineapples! Bro I don't even know what's going on here! Like are we going the same route as wonderland and how it is broken or is it a completely new way? How are all the relationships going to work since there doesn't seem to be a theme of everyone becoming a husband. 😂 So as a "score" lets see..... Heat is 10\10: Suspense is of course 10\10: Romance...you guessed it lol 10\10. If I could live in her brain to see how everything plays out and future books I'd flipping do it in a heartbeat. That's how amazing her worlds are. 😍

I’m not that familiar with the Peter Pan fairy tale. My knowledge of it only goes as far as watching Hook. But that didn’t take away the enjoyment I had reading this first book. I loved it. I like most of the characters but I’m scared to like them too much wondering if they’ll be killed off like another story. *Ahem* I really want Pan to pull his head out of his butt and for him and Ira to be together. You had me at tattoos! I love Nev, Akule and Lirit and can’t wait to see how things move forward in the next book. The world building was detailed and I can tell a lot of thought went into this story! Don’t even get me started on the ending. I need the next book like now! Looking forward to it!

Oh my god, I need the next book now!

The Neverland series is off to a thrilling start! The world is laid out with such care and detail. I could really see it all as I read. The characters are well described and have so much personality. The sexy scenes are plentiful and HOT but there is so much more to this book than that. There is a very real story being laid out for the reader and it is exciting! If you loved her wonderland series (like I do), you will love this one too. Now for the agonizing wait for the next book!

I didn’t think I could love a Peter Pan retelling that much. I love that Crea Reitan managed once again to keep the soul of the universe she taking us to and still twists it enough, makes it original enough that everything feels new and surprising.
The main character, Ira, is a feisty, badass woman that I liked from page one, and she's never afraid to call the others on their bs, especially Pan, who definitely is an acorn at times, but that I loved just as much by the end of the book. But the one character I think is rapidly winning the race to win my heart is Lirit.
Every character is unique but fits wonderfully in Neverland and the original slang is always a delight. The twists are also different from the ones in her Wonderland series, so there wasn’t ever a moment when I thought Ira’s story felt redundant with Mal’s.
Speaking of Mal, I hope all the tales will take us to a time when Ira, Mal and the others will be able to see each other again, because this still breaks my heart every time I think about it.
To finish this short but glowing review, I will say that I’ve read every series written by Crea Reitan and most of her standalones; Neverwith was without a doubt the best and strongest first book she has ever written and I can’t wait to see that she’s going to do next.

Crea Reitan's fairytale retellings are always some of my favorites to read. She goes above and beyond just a basic retelling, taking multiple versions of the well known stories and manipulating them in such a way to really grab your attention and want to dive into the mystery of them. After reading Mal's story in Wonderland, I've been dying to see how the other fixers were doing in their own fairytales. Peter Pan was a favorite of mine growing up, especially with Tinker Bell's character. There have been so many versions of this tale and movies about it as well, so I was excited to see what Crea would come up with for her own version. I was not disappointed, and to be honest, I think I like it more than the Wonderland books!

What I love so much about Crea's versions is that she makes other fairytales bleed into the main story, like an injection poisoning the host. For Neverland, you can see hints of Little Red Riding Hood peeking through and causing chaos for the area's inhabitants. I really enjoyed looking for these little hints while reading, and I'm surprised the fmc, Ira, hasn't noticed or mentioned these little tidbits yet. I cannot wait for that epiphanic moment when she realizes the connections.

So far for this series, I really loved the characters. Ira is fierce, witty, and strong. She doesn't back down when it comes to speaking her mind and she is ready to throw down whenever necessary. She can definitely fight her own battles, that's for sure. Never is a sweetheart, instantly bonding with Ira. Lirit is a flirt who wants the ability to choose his own wife. Akule is basically whatever Ira needs him to be--a friend, a protector, even a lover, although it hasn't quite escalated to that yet. Pan is sort of the odd one out so far Whereas Never and Lirit were pretty much instalust and very obvious about their feelings towards Ira, Pan is a full out enemies to lovers type of situation. If you think about the original tales, Peter was always afraid of people leaving him. To him, Ira is a threat to keeping those he loves around him. It's understandable why he isn't on great terms with her as of right now, but I am pretty sure it will change in upcoming books as he realizes no one is going to leave him for someone else.

Overall, this first book in the Chronicles of Red series was a huge hit for me. I adore everything Crea has incorporated into Ira's story and I look forward to finding out what happens next!! But maybe Crea could give some more hints on Reth and where he is going? All those distractions and half formed sentences when talking about him were torture. Please and thank you.

NeverLand for grownups 😉

This is a four book series, a few triggers in this reverse harem dark romance.
It’s based on the Neverland story (think Peter Pan and crew) but this is no child’s fairytale, this is definitely adult only!

Ira is a fixer (their job is to fix the problem that occurs in a world) I liked the rules that the author had given the “fixers”

- [ ] This is a one-way door. Once one enters, the door seals shut. It will only open again when one fails. Otherwise, should one succeed, the door will vanish forever.
- [ ] Your sole mission is to set the world right again. There is a wrong afoot, not necessarily the “evil” you might anticipate, but something has knocked the world off balance. Your one and only job, your sole purpose in your life once you walk through that door, is to set the world right.
- [ ] As stated in Rule 1, this is a one-way door. You will not be returning, nor will you ever have contact with anyone Outside ever again. Again, your primary goal is to fix the world. But remember along the way that you will need to build a life there. You won’t be coming back. Period.
- [ ] Yes, you can die. You are subject to whatever the laws of their universe are. Those who have gone before you have likely died while on their mission.

I really liked the other characters that started their journeys with Ira before travelling into other problem worlds (need to see if they have stories out!) strong women who have trained for years to fix whatever has broken. These worlds have had many “fixers” so are these women the people to mend the worlds that need fixing?

We meet Pan, and he’s not happy to see her. Everyone else, but not him. And the lost boys, well they aren’t boys anymore, they are now young men (so neverland is ageing them)
Ira needs answers to the many questions she’s has before she can formulate a plan to fix NeverLand.

The first couple of chapters almost made me put the book down, it felt a little jumbled (just persevere) but once we get down to the story, it’s full steam ahead, there is fighting, action, drama and a fair amount of romance. But it’s not Ira and Pan, it’s Nev (short for Never Say)

When Ira finds out that the problem is a beast that is the cause of the break in the fairytale. But finding it is causing problems.

Can Ira and her group of “lost boys” actually find the beast?

It does end on a cliff hanger, so I’m eager to see where we go next…..

I really stayed away to read the Neverland series, after I read the Wonderland series.

I wasn't ready to let go of Mal and Wonderland (admitting Alice in Wonderland was always my favorite fairy tale). And I was a bit afraid, because I'm still not over the death of a certain character.

So, I avoided reading it for quite a long time. But I can't stay away from this forever. And since Mal's story, I was fascinated with the concept of the series (fixers send into fixing the fairytales) and I always wondered what became of her friends. I know, not all their stories are written yet. So, I still hope there will be something in the future. But alas, the Broken/Toxic Fairytales don't seem to do well, which is why they aren't part of KU anymore.

But back to Neverland. Once I began reading it, of course, I couldn't stop it. Ira started out strong. So, she has a machete and I love that she stands up to Pan. She stands her ground in general. That is what I like about her.

Of course, the guys aren't any less fierce and intriguing. I definitely like the depiction of Pan, Never Say, Akule and Lirit. And they each are different, as I'm used from Crea, in their personalities and all. I always love the details Crea puts into her stories. And not to forget all the twists in the story.

I'm always in awe when I see how she spins a story into something new and add things, I wouldn't even predict. Like the demon part. Or magic in general. The Aging. There is so much in the story, that makes me want to know more.

I'm engaged on all levels. And I certainly look forward to the moment Pan and Ira come together. Thinking of their temperament, it will be explosive. 😂

But really, I loved it. And at the moment I can't think of a good reason why I held off so long. But when it is anything like Wonderland, then I'm in for an emotional ride.

But I will still read this series.

Good...but

This story was different from anything I've ever read. It was good and Ira was awesome with her machete! I am however going to be the nit picker and say I was a bit disappointed that the blurb for this book says it has heavy focus on the female with some mm and mmf. I have to disagree. I felt like we delved into the male relationships a ton and not a whole lot with Ira. She was like insta lust and feelings for these men and we don't get to see her really getting to talk to them about all of these relationships. Or even read her thoughts about it. Like she has a moment where she is hurt that Nev picks Pan, but then nothing else is mentioned about it. I feel that her connections with them weren't as strong as the males with each other and that to me took away from the book as I was expecting otherwise and I personally prefer to have the focus on the female. I love the mm relationships, but I still want Ira to be the main focus. She's awesome and I want to embrace that along with the men. We know they want her, but you don't really get into the emotions side of it. It's just a feeling they have.

Now maybe the next book focuses on her and her relationships with the men more, but then this books blurb should reflect that. Again the story was good and unique. I love all the fairy tale lore and the attention to detail. I just feel Ira didn't get as much focus as she should have for being the fmc. I feel I don't know her that well. I have a better sense of Nev, Lirit and even Pan. Hopefully the next book will get more into that or I probably won't continue.

This book was not what I was expecting AT ALL! Was I disappointed? Heck no! Ira is a badass fmc tasked with "fixing" Neverland's broken story. She doesn't just sit back and let the guys do all the work, she's right there with them. And, let's talk about these guys for just a minute. Lost boy, Nev, knows how hot he is and doesn't try to deny it. He's perfectly cocky. Lirit, the merman prince, is another masterpiece. He's so commanding, how can Ira NOT fall for him. And then there's Akule. I am calling dibs on this gentle giant who was "given" to Ira by the chief. He's tasked with keeping Ira safe on the journey, and he doesn't let her out of his sight EVER. *swoon* Now, we also have Peter Pan, who's not part of this harem, at least not yet. I'm on the fence about him. He's very territorial and protective of the group. I'm hoping that Pan joins the harem, along with a pirate. This whole book is just perfection. I can't wait for the next installment!!

obsessed!

Spice: 3/5

Is it weird to admit Peter Pan was probably my first fictional crush? And man oh man, does the adult version not disappoint. Let me go get a towel to wipe my drool up with.

I have so many theories as to what’s broken in Neverland, but I am dying to find out the truth! These characters are addictive. I love all the adaptations of the OG story to this new version. Really well done.

I’ve read reviews about people getting upset about the “Redskin” name being racist, and while I don’t disagree, you find out toward the end that the name has nothing to do with them being any race. So, sure it’s bad taste, but the author is doing a rewrite where this was a word used. She found a way to use it and have a different meaning toward it. So let’s get off the high horses, read the book and you’ll realize it’s not racism. Ted Talk over.

So I kinda had a bit of an expectation going into this new series by this author, just because I really loved Toxic Wonderland and the Chronicles of Madness series…when I tell you, I absolutely LOVE this retelling of Peter Pan. I’m immediately hooked. Ira is very refreshing as the main character. In Toxic Wonderland, Mal was a little more timid. She took her time getting her bearings and everything, but Ira is right out the gate in your face with it. She has a lot more grit, which I can appreciate. Honestly I really like all the characters I’m seeing so far… the story is building and slight spoiler… but I kind of feel like the Peter Pan fairytale might have been infected with red riding hood? I could be wrong though, but like with all the wolves, and then it was like they leave baskets of treats as bait. I don’t know it just feels like little red riding hood to me.

Neverland like you've never seen it before. This is not the Peter Pan you grew up with, He's all grown up, pissed off about it and ruling with an iron fist. Steam warning applies. Ira has been raised her entire life to be a Fixer. Dedicated to going into the fairytale world of NEverland and fix what's broken. She had no clue what she was in for when she landed in the universe that was nothing like the book she'd memorized. Finding the problem is going to be tough when Pan is instantly against her, and hope is nearly lost by all. There have been thirty fixers before her, and the people of the land have learned to protect their feelings.

Still, she gives her all as she learns how to survive in this strange new place, and looses her heart to an unlikely man.

I love fairytales and I love RH so I though wow perfect book for me.

It’s not a bad book, but for me when I read any kind of romance but especially RH I want the guys to be solely focused on the FMC, I don’t mind small amount of MM but I’m not a huge fan. When I read the description for this book, it said there was only small amount of MM but when you add in Lirits obsession with ‘his’ boys and Pans need for Nev and Nev’s need for Lirit it’s a lot of MM and they all make it sound like the FMC is just an add on or not as important and it reads kinda icky. Also i wouldn’t really class it as RH I feel like the whole book was focused on Nev rather than Ira so maybe it’s just a harem? Or poly idk
