I LOVE SCUBA!

I did my SSI Open Water course via their app - but I bought a used copy of the old paper back because I wanted to be able to look back and reference certain things quickly. I ended up reading (or re-reading) the book and found I liked how the information was presented - it felt similar but different than the app course. It was nice to be able to go through the information again - and I like having an actual book on my shelf to be able to reference and flip through.

It's an interesting read, but god do they try to sell more classes, equipment and more. This is 75% knowledge and 25% promotion. Other than that, decent read, with nice accompanying videos.

A much needed-reading book to read if you want to pass your diving exam! The textbook wasn't that long, nor was it short - I love how so many concepts and formulations is fitted in such a concise manner. I managed to finish reading it in time for my exams - I am sure I can finish reading it in 2 days if I had put effort into it, haha. And the thing is the content here is reflected in the powerpoint presentation as well. Best part is that at the end of each chapters are Questions which you can fill up - most of these will come up in the exam, so it makes it more easier.

Not great literature, but it mostly teaches the important concepts, even if it occasionally fails to define an important term until 30 pages later.

I wouldn't consider this a page turner, but it has definitely turned a page in the latest chapter of my career path. I couldn't be more excited and grateful for the training I received from SSI!!
