I love this first four books. I got the set because I started the kings: wild cards series thinking it stood alone, only to find it technically started after the end of the four kings series. The box set is a convenient way to get the first four books.
As far as each go, all were hits. My favorite is diamond in the rough (Leo is a treasure), and my least favorite join the club (it felt less strong than the others). Still, every one was good, all different and good in their own way. I don't particularly understand why the series are separate when they pretty much are continuous, but there you go. Now, off I go back to the wild cards!

4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ I enjoyed a couple of these books more than the other two but they were all good. I think my favourite was the final book Diamond in the Rough. I'm looking forward to starting the next series.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I just listened to all 4 of these in audio back to back and I just love these guys so much. I definitely recommend the audiobooks - Greg is just excellent, his voices for the guys are so great, and characters like Ace just totally come to life.
If you like opposites attract, tough ex-miliary men falling for their perfect match, and hilarious antics, you have to try this series!

This was my first intro to this author and I have to say…I’m a FAN! A group of friends that are former green beret start a private protection business together. This box set follows four of them as they meet their forever love while battling different drama, fighting crime, and trying to protect the ones they love! There’s hilarious banter, doggies, & spice.
Ace was so funny! He was perfect as the first intro to the team. I was certain he was going to be my favorite. Red was the sweetest marshmallow & you will fall in love with him. My absolute fav in this foursome was Lucky & Mason. They were constantly at each other’s throats but when they finally gave in, their love was just phenomenal! King’s story had my favorite suspenseful storyline. He helped watch out for a sweet little hacker who was so good the government basically forced him to work for them building code for something huge. It was full of action and a surprising ending when you find out who was behind all of the bad stuff going on.
All of that mixed with Greg Boudreaux as the narrator had me listening day & night!

4.5 stars for "Love in Spades" - Ace and Colton make sparks when they first meet as they clash. The fun starts when the sparks continue but for a very different reason.
4 stars for "Be Still My Heart" - Red and Laz continue getting to know one another from meeting in book one. Both are sweet and connect right away, but they both also have serious issues that might just end up being more than they can get around.
4.5 stars for "Join the Club" - Lucky and Mason have been building to a confrontation for some time. Everyone around them sees that the tension is due to their attraction to one another, but that seems to be something they're both terrified to acknowledge.

I absolutely love book bundles. I will read a series or from authors I might not typically take a chance. Charlie has been very hit or miss for me lately, but I was in the mood for some high action fun easy reads over the holidays.
This bundle of books is entertaining; meant as escapist fun. They definitely follow a formula and have lots of sexy scenes. This can be good or bad depending on one's mood and expectations. I enjoyed them. Love is quick, and usually under fire. The characters and stories are enough different to stand apart from one another, but also mostly forgettable after a few weeks. It definitely requires the ability to suspend belief, and for one to not need a lot of development or wrap up outside of maybe the couple. Definitely end with a HEA for each couple.

Outstanding! Charlie has created a team of men and support staff that is absolutely riveting. The characters are solid, fun, funny and totally frosty! Their love interests are adorable. They all have different skills and personalities and they all blend and compliment each other. The civilians provide a balance to our Vets. The story of their last mission flows as we are introduced to each couple. The adventures are good twisters and the solutions are amazing. I think my favorite character, is Chip, Joker's dog. King is amazing and it's good his story is last. I look forward to reading about the entire company and revisiting the four kings in the process. Charlie has created an amazing exciting group in King's Security. Well done!

Downloaded the boxed set because Amazon makes it look like the Sapphire Sands novella is included, but it's not. Had already read the four main books of the series separately a while back. Re-read the first book, but not into repeating the entire series right now. This is one of those series that kind of gets cluttered with characters as it goes along, and if my second reading of the first story is indicative, each story starts out with a bang, and then gets draggy in the middle (and I'm not talking RuPaul). There's action towards the end, but the humor and wit just wither away after the first half of the story, and they're the best part of the read.

I got completely involved with these characters to the point that I believe they are real, and I know them; that's the power of a great author.
I cannot believe you get all this for one credit; go out and treat yourself to 30 hours of pure pleasure.

I love Charlie Cochet books and this was no exception. Wonderfully entertaining MC's (just love that Ace), an absorbing story that sucks you in with all the secondary MC's that show up in the rest of the series and, you know, Ace and Colton show up over and over in their stories too.
This series was not as involved as THIRDS but it happens in this world so you get to just enjoy the story and the very sexy, hot, entertaining and wonderfully written characters.

I have read this series before, but I got this box set on Audible a while ago and finally got around to listening to it. I shouldn't have. The dialogue is SUPER cringy when hearing it spoken out loud. The sex scenes were absolutely excruciating. This is like...when people say women shouldn't write m/m, this is what they're talking about. I don't AGREE that women shouldn't write m/m, but the totally unrealistic behaviors and dialogue in this series are where the complaints start making sense to me.

A nice read
Really enjoyed this box set. Loved how all the charters kept popping up in all the 4 books some more than others but they were there. Expected more out of Lucky and Masons story but it seemed to be built up them fizzled but still a lovely read. Ace is over the top but so fun. Red is my man 😍, Lucky was full of energy, King was a beautiful person, their partner brilliant. Looking forward to reading the rest now.

Expected more out of Lucky and Masons story but it seemed to be built up them fizzled but still a lovely read. Ace is over the top but so fun. Red is my man 😍, Lucky was full of energy, King was a beautiful person, their partner brilliant. Looking forward to reading the rest now.

I ended up liking this WAY more than I thought. Leo was by far my favorite boyfriend, but I think Mason and Lucky were my favorite couple overall. I will say that I enjoyed Aces story the most in terms of romantic development. I'm all for smut but I enjoyed that it was a bit of a slower build up to it in his story. I'm absolutely going to be diving straight into the Wildcards boxset. Good job author!

INCREDIBLE
This series popped up in my KU recommendations and I’m so glad it did! This series has a bit of everything, action, romance, humour, mystery and i adored every second of reading it! I can’t even tell you what book was my favourite because I loved all of them and I can’t wait to dive into the spin off series and the rest of the author’s work.

love these characters
I loved these characters, I got one book on special offer and liked it so much I purchased the box set. The camaraderie and relationships between them is great and the stories are well written. I fell in loved with them all, the Lol antics and the relationships between the main characters. The sex scenes were hot also !

Absolutely wonderful
Wow! I loved, loved these books. Charlie did an amazing job and each book is fantastic. The characters are all amazing and each new partner is perfect for the Kings, together they are a wonderful family and one I loved meeting and reading. The books are full of life, love, humour and lots of sexy times. Can’t recommend them enough.

Characters are fun,interesting,well developed ,and each has a great personality that's easy to fall in love with.great story development in each book,all connected and intertwined with a natural feel.the relationships are easy to invest time in as they are each interesting and organically built. Great reads that are very enjoyable.

Four Kings boxed set
This series of a found brotherhood of friends finding their men whilst getting into a boat load of trouble was amazing and although I’ve read these books individually the boxed set is well worth it for a well earned re read!

Well written stories and well developed characters! The Four Kings are all retired service men that served together. There's also a Jack and a Joker. The Kings are the ones from a card deck and are all very different!

Highly Entertaining!
This series was highly entertaining as these big and fierce men found love and fell head first into it. I did a mix of listen and read and both ways were awesome. I can't wait to read the next few books in this world!
