Hi there. I'm Jon Thomas Skye, better known to my friends as J. T.

I love to write stories of heroic quests, ancient prophecies and mythical journeys along roads less traveled. They include grand, military space battles, secret alliances, desperate treachery, vengeance and retribution against the arrogance, elitism and glory hunting found at the highest levels of society.

From pirates, slavers, saboteurs and assassins to elite Warriors, trader families, cargo haulers and the many desperate refugees just trying to escape conscription.

I've loved to read and write science fiction, fantasy and action adventure stories my whole life and am passionate about mainstream Sci Fi, Space Opera, Military Sci Fi, and mythical Fantasy.

In this, Book 2 ofthe Apocalypse Earth series, Bill is now part of a big family, and along with Maria, he must take Dr.Amy back to the city for urgently needed medical supplies. The first part of the book is told in multiple points of view, which I really did not care for. It was this author's choice forgiving us the background and personality of some new characters, so I struggled through that part. The latter part of the book had a lot less of the multi POVs going on, and was much better. The book was okay, but not as good as thefirst book. I am hopeful I will find the final book tieseverything up welland there is a bitmore action. There was a lot of repetitive comments and statements in these first two books, and that gets boring for me. Does the author have a word quota to hit, so he keeps saying the same thing ?

This was the second book in the series. I really liked it. And, for some crazy reason, I really liked the dialogue between the "family." It sounded weird and kind of forced but it also sounded polite and respectful. It was a good "family values" story. Read #1 first. It was really weird at the start...but hooked me within a few chapters. I did see on JT's FB page that he is currently working on book 3, the final book in the series. I am definitely looking forward to reading it.

Bill

The second book pulled you right in. Bill is coming into his own. Watching and FEELING this story unfold was rewarding to say the least. I was hesitant to read a survival book with aliens in it. Not my usual read. But J.T. Skye has a wonderful style of writing. I can't wait to read the NEXT book in this series to see what happens with Bill, Maria, Ben and Nathan.

Oh well, apparently this isn't going to be the kind of story where the earthlings band together and kick some alien butt. On the other hand, it is a well thought out story, and one that tugs at the heartstrings. It's a well done story, and I'm off to start the next/last book in the series now, don't want to miss the conclusion.

A little better than book one

Well bad guys are bad, earthers or outworlder....so in same some are good. This is more of a ragtag group becoming a family in an apocalyptic world caused by aliens of another world then anything else. They still use very little in alien tech and depend mostly on primitive ranged weapons or edged weapons. The story is short to medium length.

A nice series

A nice series with interesting characters as well as an intriguing storyline. Follow along as the main character ascends the obstacles put in his path from an alien invasion on his way from being an ignorant, bigoted person to a caring educated man.

Book 2

Once again, Mr Skye did not disappoint. Thr adventure continues. The family grew by two and Bill found out again that not all aliens are bad and not all humans are good. A lesson that is repeated over and over. Well, on to book 3. Again, well done.

I enjoyed the book. Since this is the first book in the series I read, there were many references that I did not get having skipped book 1. For best enjoyment I would read book 1 first which I will do soon.

Good book

The story was a great one, learning valuable lessons along the way. I found the story to be a little slow at times but I still "had to see how it turned out." A worthwhile read.

Great Story

Not your average end of the world story. I wasn't expecting the story line to be quite so good. Excellent plot and very well written. Keep up the good work JT.
