Rangers

The Saurian Rangers started out as a good book. The storyline was great, but was just underdeveloped. Dragged in a few places, but picked up the pace after a few minutes. I gave it four stars because the language was clean. I took away a star because the religious line took away from the story. There was definitely religious bias here, but you have to read it to get my point. Was the Pope in charge of military operations since the Vatican sent rangers to investigate certain areas? And why were the rangers made up of only one religious group? Since this is an end of the world story and dinosaurs and disease are killing people left and right...what was the point? I liked the ending because the bad guys did not come out on top, but who was Typhoon? Too many questions for me, but maybe I missed something.

I am giving this book five stars, however, I will say it has the standard scientist bad guys trope. Some of the political stuff is very silly, but it comprises a very very small part of the book. On the other hand, I absolutely loved the presentation of the dinosaur and have to say that for that aspect of the book, it is my favorite entertainment product about dinosaurs. Who doesn’t love dinosaurs? (Also I strongly dislike the use of Musk’s products in the book as he is a horrific human being).

Triceratops are food. Nope. I'm good. I just couldn't get into the book.
