A very short read that’s worth a look. I don’t see it so much as an actual book of mythology as a book that quickly tells you what some of the stories are, but you’ll have to go elsewhere if you want to actually get the stories in any detail. As it is, most of the entires in this book are more like synopses. Still, as a way of finding out some of the stories that exist and that you could then go and find out more about, it’s not a bad introduction.

kindle unlimited, the civilizations/cultures are in alphabetical at the end where list all the books out so far, good addition to those, a quite a few of them in that section show 'mythology' in the titles too

The author gives some of the greatest highlights from Chinese texts. Specifies when things overlap and shares anomalies or other details about specific events or times. This is all a part of the Chinese culture and heritage and even though the stories shared in this book are the exhaustive details that can be found elsewhere, it is simplified to the point of truly being captivating. It gives you insight to the people themselves.

Chinese Mythology introduced properly.

I enjoyed learning about Chinese Mythology. I guess that I had not really ever thought about it before but in reading this book I discovered that I really was unaware of the mythology of the Chinese people.


This is a short book that can be read in just a few hours, it is a great introduction. I recommend that you purchase and read this book.
