The Zardis Thieves’ Guild isn’t satisfied. Just as they secretly rule the largest city in Andoran’s Realm, they also seek to control the Witch’s City. Standing in their way are High Witch Ermizad, the city’s absolute ruler, and Celebern, the owner of the closest thing the Witch’s City has to a thieves’ guild.
Meanwhile, things in the Witch’s City are already complicated enough. There’s a vigilante on the loose, an unexpected death, a marriage in crisis, new romances, and some unwelcome visitors. Audrey, Saxloc, Gabriel, Siljan, and many others are soon caught up in a cascading series of events as the Guild advances its nefarious plans.
As you might expect from someone trying to make his name as a writer of sword & sorcery fantasy, I have degrees in mathematics and physics and have written many scientific papers. (I have patents too!) Okay, that stuff doesn’t really help much. What about over three decades of writing increasingly complex Dungeons & Dragons adventures for my players? Or the tens of thousands of words describing the things that happened between adventures? If you think about it, a D&D adventure is really just a fantasy short story. String enough of them together, and you’ve got a fantasy novel. Okay, it’s a little more complicated than that, but you get the idea.
It may sound unbelievable, but I really have been running essentially the same D&D campaign since 1979. That gives me a huge amount of material to drawn upon when writing, and I have tried to integrate a great deal of it, even some of the sillier parts. You will find that my books include action, drama, and humor, as well as elements of everyday life that I hope make things more interesting and realistic.
So there you have it. Check out my books, and if you like them, tell your friends. Honest reviews are also welcome. And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have more writing to do.
I absolutely love this series. It is nice to read about the young people coming into themselves and the trouble they sometimes get into. Also i have to say that most of them are a bunch of nymphos. (PG 14). I am looking forward to reading how the rest of the story ends.
Part of a really good series! This book developed a lot of the characters from earlier in the series. And lots and lots of stuff happened, it was really good! So off to the next one!
