Books 6-9

The Company
James Fenici paid a high price when he decided to help out Rook and friends and now he’s off script, off the rails, and digging into deep, dark secrets from his past that are better left alone. But Harper Tate feels so familiar. He knows this girl is the answer to all the insane questions locked up inside his damaged mind. And when twelve-year-old Sasha is thrust upon him all the secrets come spilling out. James knows the only way to keep Harper and Sasha safe is to sacrifice himself. But Harper and Sasha are not ordinary girls. They are Company girls. Girls from dangerous families. Girls trained to kill. Girls who know… if you need a job done right, you do it yourself.

Meet Me in the Dark – Merc’s Book

Merc made a decision years ago. Sacrifice one damaged girl to save another. He chose innocent, twelve-year-old Sasha over crazy, damaged Sydney. And he never looked back—until now. But even though the “team” unraveled most of the Company secrets, there are a few lingering loose ends. Sydney is one of those loose ends and Merc is determined to repair her damaged mind through whatever means necessary and find the answers he needs to put an end to a dangerous man who can take Merc, and his entire team, down for good.

Wasted Lust – Sasha’s Book

Sasha did the impossible. She saved herself and her friends from the evil Company. But she sacrificed a life with Nick Tate, the only boy she ever loved, to make that happen. Now Nick is back from the hell he’s been trapped in since they were kids and FBI agent, Jax Barlow, is hot on his tail. Jax knows that Sasha is the key to unraveling all the mysteries he never quite understood about his past. She is strong, smart, and beautiful and soon Jax finds himself falling for the dangerous girl-assassin. He needs to show her the truth about the boy she thinks she loves. He needs to convince her to work with him and turn on Nick Tate one more time. But Sasha’s loyalty runs deep and now she must find a way to save Nick and end this nightmare, once and for all.

Happily Ever After

It’s Christmas Eve--one day in the life of the Happily Ever After—and everyone has a present under the tree. Rook and her team found peace. They faced the ugly truth of their collective past and moved on. They are in love, married with children, and everything is perfect. But is it? The next generation of the “team” is growing up and they all have plans. So how do these once-dangerous parents deal with their smart, beautiful children, who all have dreams and ambitions of their own, without feeling left behind?

J.A. Huss never wanted to be a writer and she still dreams of that elusive career as an astronaut. She originally went to school to become an equine veterinarian but soon figured out they keep horrible hours and decided to go to grad school instead. That Ph.D wasn’t all it was cracked up to be (and she really sucked at the whole scientist thing), so she dropped out and got a M.S. in forensic toxicology just to get the whole thing over with as soon as possible.

After graduation she got a job with the state of Colorado as their one and only hog farm inspector and spent her days wandering the Eastern Plains shooting the shit with farmers. After a few years of that, she got bored. And since she was a homeschool mom and actually does love science, she decided to write science textbooks and make online classes for other homeschool moms. She wrote more than two hundred of those workbooks and was the number one publisher at the online homeschool store many times, but eventually she covered every science topic she could think of and ran out of shit to say.

So in 2012 she decided to write fiction instead. That year she released her first three books and started a career that would make her a New York Times bestseller and land her on the USA Today Bestseller’s List eighteen times in the next three years. Her books have sold millions of copies all over the world, the audio version of her semi-autobiographical book, Eighteen, was nominated for a Voice Arts Award and an Audie award in 2016 and 2017 respectively, her audiobook Mr. Perfect was nominated for a Voice Arts Award in 2017, and her book, Taking Turns, was nominated for an Audie Award in 2018. Johnathan McClain is her first (and only) writing partner and even though they are worlds apart in just about every way imaginable, it works.

She lives on a ranch in Central Colorado with her family.

Rollercoaster ride!

The suspense was enough to make me keep reading book after book. I’m glad that this was a book bundle. If you miss a book or don’t read it in order, you could get lost. There are some parts of the books that can get a little violent. Could be triggers for some people. However, I really enjoyed this little world that was created by the author. Brain washing and trigger words…makes you kind of wonder if that could really happen in real life. I found this to be quite intriguing.

To JA Huss

Julie,
I have listened to many of your books. I love them all. Typos and grammatical errors, some missing or wrong words. In the box sets I just read. I would love to get them all on audio. So I can listen to them over and over again. I am 61yr old grandmother about to be great grandmother. These books have given me so many ways to imagine. Keep up the good writing and give us more audio books. Or tell me where I can purchase them. You are officially one of my favorite writers.

Sincerely,
Janet.

wow!!

This entire series is amazing, I wish I would have read it in correct order, sorting the timeline in my head was different! It can be read out of order but you learn stuff about characters in the later books you might not want to know going in! Great world the author has built

LOVE LOVE TO INFINTY

These books are so amazing and make you feel like your apart of their world and you don’t want to leave. I hope the kids from all the rook and robin series get their own books just to keep the family going. ( I’m talking the grandchildren) I’m onto Vic’s book and I’m so excited for that one.

So good!

I love Julie’s dark and twisted mind! :) James and Harper. Sasha. So good. Merc’s book was pretty dark and hard to take at times, but as Julie stated in that book’s EOBS, we needed it to understand what being a Company kid really meant and it certainly did that. Happily Ever After was so fun! I could read about the Team forever ❤️

Love, love, love these books. There is such an amazing story to all of them. So much depth. Way more than the steamy s#x. It’s a fascinating world that makes you crave more.

Characters that completely fill this series and interconnect with each other creating such a complex plot of goodness. The plot was full of twists and turns. Could not pick one character over another, all of them added to each book.

so Much to Love!

This series is one I have to read again every so often. It’s epic and so emotional to see the way they all started and HEA is the perfect “ending”.

I'm not sure where to begin. The Company is a shadow organization that controls the world, but this book isn't about them, per se. Harper Tate is a Company Princess who made a daring escape from her life living on a superyacht. She left a trail of destruction behind her and ran away with some important information. She thought she was keeping a fairly low profile waiting for her twin brother, Nick, to find her, until she crossed paths with James Fenici. The story is too complex to summarize, but it mainly focuses on the relationship between Harper, James, and Sasha Cherlin, a young girl who is also part of the Company world. The narrators do a phenominal job bringing these complex characters to life, expressing all the angst, anxiety, fear and confidence they experience through this 3 part series.
I've read several more recent books by this author that involve the Company, and am going back to where it all started. Was it necessary to do that? No, this author is skilled at providing the information needed to immerse the reader fully into that part of the story, but I wanted to meet the characters in their own "origin" story. Not enough superlatives to express my appreciation for JA Huss' storytelling!

Woo what a ride! After reading books 1-5 I wasn't sure what to expect from this next boxset, however these were just as gripping. These books skate so close to reality and with such believable characters you get so drawn in to the story it distorts reality. I experienced so many emotions whilst reading this, anger, sadness, happiness and humour all topped off with some sexy romance. The plot is a little complicated and really at times downright scary that this could possibly happen.
Great characters, exciting and gripping plots, loved it!

Phenomenal

The Company brings you into a world you never see coming! These men and women are strong, capable, and deadly. They are fighting for their lives, loves, and the families they wish to have one day. Beautifully dark and intense, The Company will make you fly through every emotion and still leave you smiling at the end.

And ride along as the pieces fall together, or apart, and the Company is brought to its knees!

Huss is just phenomenal and leaves you wanting more until it hurts to turn the last page, but you do it with a smile on your face!

Get ready for the rollercoaster of emotions with this set. What can I say, but Damn this was good. Explosive, heartwarming, heartbreaking, chills, tears, anger, hate…good god, you need a drink and a cigarette after this.
James, Harper, Sasha, Merc, Sydney, Jax, Nate, Vincent, Ford, just everyone. Shocks galore. Well, I certainly didn’t see THAT coming. Shoot. His. Ass.
Seriously, just…take a breath. Oh, and DON’T throw your e-reader across the room lol. Use a shoe. #fanforlife

Rook & Ronin

What can I say? The entire series is unbelievable. The world you have created slips right into parallel with the ‘real’ world. I just love it….I almost want to move onto the next series, but I think I need to let this one marinate. Thankyou
