Two of Angel Payne’s most beloved series collide for the first time!

It was supposed to be a quick and easy mission. It became the night that changed his life.

Being in the wrong place at the wrong time isn’t new for Max Brickham. During his years in black ops, it was the norm more than the exception, including the mission that broke his spirit and ended his career. As an independent contractor, he’s now able to accept the cushy jobs that are best left beneath law enforcement’s radar—like the assignment he takes on as a quick favor for a longtime friend. Find a princess in a city of millions before her enemies know what he’s up to. Simple, right?

Never has he been so wrong.

Jayd Cimarron, princess of Arcadia beloved by her people and the media alike, has fled her island home after learning terrible secrets about her past. She’s in Paris seeking answers, but in Brick’s protective custody she finds so much more. Hidden passions. Wicked sins. The magical pieces of her sensual side, revealed by this man’s hypnotic dominance…and addicting touch.

Under cover and on the run, Brick and Jayd crisscross the City of Light while fighting to stay one step ahead of the Arcadian insurgents who want to imprison her, while hunting for the one man who can unlock her past. It’s a terrifying tightwire without a safety net, but reaching to each other for balance is even more frightening. Every new embrace means more truths—and vulnerabilities—are bared.

Stripped to their cores, can they find enough trust and strength in each other to fly into freedom…or fall into heartbreak?

When two worlds collide magical things happen! In this case the beautiful island of Arcadia - the home of the Cimarrons is coming face to face with some of our favorite Honor Bound men! And I for one, couldn’t be happier!! Jayd and Max are front and center for this mashup and as we go on this journey with them I am once again blown away by the fact that the author pays so much attention to the details of a scene that you practically feel like you’re a third wheel at times - which isn’t always a hardship when things heat up between Max & Jayd! I loved that we got to revisit with so many past characters in this book too! It was sort of like a homecoming, but on the run from bad guys shooting at you and shit!! LOL I think if the Honor Bound series was going to continue — this was the perfect way to make that happen! The way this book ends though - man, I’ve got to say I’m equally happy to have Bound waiting for me to dive right into because I don’t think I could wait!! I loved everything about this book!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When you think a series is over and then a crossover comes and it makes everything just so much better and the wild rollercoaster ride comes, well it’s how you’ll feel with the Cimarron and Honor Bound men come together

This book is 100% action and suspense.

So much happens you don’t know where to look next, I just love how much detail there is that you can really imagine all that’s going on and the movie playing in your head is freaking amazing.

Jayd Cimarron and Max Brickham will knock your socks off, their relationship starts up with a bang and seriously continues to climb in intensity and that end OMG it made me sit on the edge and nearly fall off the couch.

When Angel delivers she delivers alright!

On the run and searching for answers has Princes Jayd Cimarron not only running for her life but running right into the path of Max Brickman. With a storyline that has the reader on the edge of their seats the two embark on a path that brings out the true Dom in Brick. But will Jayd be the perfect submissive or just a bratty princess that puts her safety at risk. And that ending - holy crap I need more ASAP.

Jayd and Max. HOLY YES! Angel Payne is a must read author for me and whenever she releases anything I am so there and so ready. But this was something special. I was SO ecstatic to hear she was coming out with not one but TWO more Honor Bound books, I was literally jittery. I loved all the books before this, the characters were cemented into my romance reader heart, and the suspense of more was always on the horizon. To know she was giving us more Max Brickman...well she is a goddess! From beginning to end she kept me swept up in this dizzying and fast paced story and did not stop until the end. And what and ending!

Max Brickham. I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS MAN! All the little glimpses we got of him at his club, Bastille, and as a good friend to John Franzen and all the soldier boys we love, were like little love bites and I so wanted more. He is the definition of Dominant. Ruthlessly suave and incredibly protective, he held my heart captive just like he did Jayd's. He broke my heart as much as he seemed to mend it with everything he did and does for the people he cares for. And now he has one more person he needs to let in as well as keep safe and she's pretty great too. Princess Jayd is straight up awesome! She's put together and graceful and sweet but fierce. I loved her and I now HAVE to read the Cimarron books because I need more of her world. I wish I had read them before but Angel did a fantastic job of not judging me for this by giving me the details I needed to read Bared with ease and love every minute. The connection between Max and Jayd was amazing and the ride Angel took us on makes up for all the answers we need to wait for in Bound.

I cannot wait for more of this world. I am full on heart eyes over Max and totally girl crushing on Jayd. If you want dominance, suspense, a princess and big hearted protector, well then you need this book! The series is totally worth the commitment to read and I highly recommend you do if you haven't met any of the Special Forces men and their lovely ladies. I loved this addition to this series and I am so excited for Bound!

5 Star Review of Bared (Honor Bound # 11) by Angel Payne
I love Angel Payne’s writing and when I learnt that two of my favourite series from her were combining I couldn’t wait to read. There was so much action and suspense as Princess of Arcadia, Jayd Cimarron leaves the island searching for answers. This was a roller coaster of a read, with so much happening that there were times that I was on the edge of my seat whilst reading. This book was everything I was expecting and so much more. Max Brickham is a man used to danger, he is also a man who will do anything for a friend. Jayd is in Paris looking for answers and flying under the radar. When he is tasked with finding the missing princess he has no idea the complications his life is about to experience.
The chemistry and attraction that sizzles between Max and Jayd was intense. The familiar faces that make appearances throughout Bared really added an additional layer. Bared is a well written, fast paced story that will captivate the imagination and leave you with questions that need answers. Thankfully we will get them in the next book, Bound which has also released.

OMG! This book had everything I crave in one nice juicy read. It had some sweet and some savory.

Sweet, with the way Jayd's brothers tried to protect her, from herself and the knowledge of her birthright, along with the kind of love and attention, Brick gave to the innocent side of her.

Savory, with all the angst between the knowledge she gained of her birthright, and now knowing, she is no longer a princess.

Jayd wants to meet her biological father. She has to do it on her own, or well, with Emme, her "assistant," we'll call her.

No one knows where Jayd is... But she is being hunted, by some very bad people. Why, you want to know? I'm not telling, you'll have to read Bared yourself to learn the answers you seek.

While in Paris, where Jayd is to meet her father, she finds herself in trouble and being rescued, at practically the same moment.

Brick was there, in Paris, for all the right, and wrong reasons.

Bared was so much fun to read. So exhilarating and thrilling.

Angel Payne, has finally come back with more Honor Bound Series, with Bared, which I have loved so much, then up next, Bound, which I am looking forward to it too.

I just cannot give this less than 5 stars.

Jayd is a princess that just found out that she isn’t truly a princess. She runs to hopefully find the truth. Max (Brick) has been hired to find and protect her. The crossover of Honor bound and the Cimmarons is a great story and gives a lot of insight into the stories. Angel Payne has done an amazing job writing these series and I was so excited to hear that more Honor bound books were being released! I received an advance copy for my honest review and now on to Bound , the next book in Honor Bound series..

I'm a huge Angel Payne fan, and this series and book as a whole are far from a letdown. Once you pick up this series you will not be able to put it down! This took me on such a roller coaster and I did not want it to end. The chemistry between Jayd and Max is intense like off the charts! There is so much passion in this book, you can not go wrong.

All I have to say is I need to read the Cimmaron series nowwww. Like, yesterday. Angel Payne will never dissapoint.

Jayd and Max come together under unique circumstances. Max having been hired to protect her from the very people who are after her. His mission? To find her before they do.

I think the most unique part of this story was the fact that both parties were equally broken in their own ways. They unexpectedly seem to find peace (or are working to find it anyway) within each other.

I love that this story is broken into two books, we normally only get one with the Honor Bound men. While I did find Bared to be slower at times, I enjoyed the thorough, in depth story telling and cannot wait to continue with Bound!

Oh, how happy this girl was to see a new Honor Bound book! I absolutely love the "Wild Boys" and have from Book #1 with Garrett and Sage!!
Now, combine Honor Bound with another of my favorite worlds, the Cimarrons of Arcadia? I am one happy girl!!

Max and Jayd's adventures begin on page 1 and don't let up!! In true Angel form, there's action, intensity, humor, snark, deep connections, and internal dialogue that is true Angel magic! There's also an awakening in both Max and Jayd that brings out their true nature - Max's true Dom and Jayd's newly found submissive.

What an ending - waiting impatiently for Bound!!

Epic!

I am in awe of this book. The depth of these 2 characters had me hooked from the first page.
So many layers that it definitely needs 2 books to peel them back.
Jayd is so wise for her 24 years, and Max well.... there's so much to him.
You can feel that they balance each other, hopefully they will see it too.

I haven't read a book in a long time that I've wanted to write a review on (not very good at it). That is until now.

A Princess on the run in search of answers runs right into the one man that can not only help her but that she can also help.

What can I say? This book had it all. Brick and Jayd came with the laughs, intensity, love, patience, anger, sass and grit that I've come to enjoy from this author. Ms. Payne has such a way with the written word as to draw you in and never let you go. Brick, Jayd and every character in between send you on a rollercoaster ride that starts in Arcadia, runs through Paris and ends with a suspenseful firefight that lands you back in Arcadia. The scenes in the middle leave you breathless, in awe or screaming.

Now that I'm Bared, I'm looking forward to being Bound!

Every moment of reading this kept me enthralled. The brilliant merging of two amazing worlds has left me praising Ms Angel Payne even more!
The explosive chemistry between Max and Jayd is undeniable. The sense of belonging and wholeness is apparent from just a few short hours together.
The scenes explode off the page and leave you feeling the lick of heat they're experiencing. The rush of keeping Jayd and Max out of harms way but the action packs suspense and the heart-wrenching cliffhanger makes me anxious for the next book.
Ms. Payne has brought us a riveting mesh-up of her world's and I absolutely memorized by her brilliance in coupling these characters and ALL the expectations have been overly exceeded. She is truly a gifted writer and keeps me begging for more.

Bared is an epic work of art in blending two worlds into one. 5 explosive stars Ms. Payne!!

Beyond amazing. Angel does it yet again in this series of standalones! The suspense had me gripping the sheets among other things, if you know what I mean. I highly recommend this book! Angel is a literary MASTER. There were many twists and turns I didn't see coming and I loved it front to back. Can't wait for Bound!

The long awaited next book in the Honor bound series is here, and Bared is full of sexy excitement. Two of Angel Payne’s series meet in this book. The Honor bound and Cimarron books come together in Bared. Princess Jayd has a problem, and she runs off to Paris to try to fix it. Her friend has come to find her. Max Brickham agrees to help out his friend and old team mate. He doesn’t count on the explosive chemistry between himself and Jayd. Danger follows Jayd. Can Brick and Oz save the day? This book does end in a cliffhanger, but Bound will be released soon. I can’t wait to see how this story ends!

Jayd and Brick are amazing together. Two worlds collide in spectacular fashion. The world of an Honor Bound soldier and an Arcadian princess mesh in Paris when he is tasked to find her and before he even decides to, there she is!

What follows is an intense, fast-paced, blazing hot relationship that ends in a heart-wrenching fire fight that may end them before they truly begin.

I was enthralled by the drama and melted by their heat. Theirs is a relationship worthy of growth. They could be the pieces to the puzzles of their tumultuous lives.

Bring on Bound!

To start off this book is 100% action and suspense. I could not put this book down, it had me on my toes from the very first page to the very last. This was an outstanding way to continue the series, crossing it over with the Cimarron and Honor Bound men. Jayd and Max's relationship climbs in intensity and had me wanting more. The ending of the book left me speechless!

Angel Payne knows how to deliver!

WOW!!! I haven't read any of the Cimarron books yet but definitely have to now. Brick has always been a favorite and lord Jayd is a handful. Going from a princess to a commoner takes a toll and as she is trying to find herself in walks Max Brickman. They have scorching chemistry and many pitfalls that I truly hope they can overcome. Can't wait to read Bound.

Max and Jayd's chemistry is of the charts in this book. I seriously don't know how Angel thinks these things up, but thank goodness she does. Jayd is looking for answers and Max was hired to find her and instead finds something he thought he never would. So glad we don't have to wait long for the book to find out what happens!

Bared by A. Payne is a novel in the Honor Bound Series. This eleventh book is a stand-alone in the series.
Mac Brickham is a former spec/ops agent, after retiring he became a contractor.
Jayd Cimarron is a princess. A real life princess who kind of ran away. She's in Paris looking for answers. And then she meets Brick when she despeartedly needs help. And Brick is just the right man - for the job and for her heart.
This story is a twisty, fast paced, complex read. A read that had me in suspense from start til the last page, unputdownable, intriguing.
I loved the storyline, the characters and the excellent writing, 5 stars.

Bared is part one of a duet. Bound is part two so there will be a cliffy.
Princess Jayd Cimarron of Arcadia has been raised on remote island. Recently her brother King Majesty has updated the island's technology. With questions about her paternity and possibly losing her title she and her maid set out to leave the island in search for her real father. On her journey to Paris she meets up with Max who has more than once rescued her. He briefly introduces her into the D/s role.
I loved the different language between Max and Jayd. Max is more Brit whereas Jayd is so prim and proper. She very rarely uses curse words. Reminds me of western or renaissance stories.

“Your creator is right here,....Right here, right now, you’re my clay. Mine alone, ready to be molded, painted, and then incinerated. To yield to my touch and be pliant to my pleasure. And when the time comes…to open for my penetration.”

Angel Payne has done it again! This woman slays me with the worlds she creates and what makes this book so amazing is she brought together two of my favorite worlds! Arcadia which is the home of the Cimarron's has been brought together with the world of the Honor Bound men. This book was absolutely everything!

Jayd and Max are the focus on this journey and it is absolutely a journey. Angel is always an author who goes for the small details and it's one of the things I love most about her books. She weaves such detail into each of her characters and when she brought these two worlds together the detailing was absolutely out of this world.

This wouldn't be an Honor Bound book though if there wasn't chaos to come though. This book had the suspense I have really been looking for lately. The end of this book had me going OH WOWWW!!!! Thank goodness I have Bound as well because I need answers!

This is the eleventh book in the exceptional Honor Bound series and as an added bonus it crosses over with the author’s Cimarron series to create one heck of a power punch. Some startling information has been brought to the attention of the King and he, along with his brothers, tries to protect his sister Jayd. Not one to sit on her laurels, Jayd decides to take matters into her own hands and do some sleuthing to find her biological father and get to the truth. Off on a wild chase, she comes into contact with some unsavory people and one man, Max, who will open up her world. This is one highly engaging read that started out a bit slow but as the pages turned the action ramped up with a vengeance. The chemistry between Jayd and Max is H.O.T. This is one storyline that you MUST READ!

Just when you thought this series couldn't get any better... a crossover is introduced. And it keeps you on your toes from the first chapter. Max and Jayd met in a explosion of chaos that kept the energy high and the attraction hot. Max becomes Jayd's savior in more than just one way. Flip the coin and Jayd became Max's as well. Talk about two people from opposite sides of the track, more like worlds apart. But deep down the connection they have is soul deep. Each have obstacles to over come. But together they might just be able to get through and end up stronger together. Only if they can survive the craziness coming their way.
