If they were our terrorists, we'd be offering them money, drug operations, and PR assistance. But they're not ours, so we expose their sub-human brutishness. They probably are brutish but it's ideology and not ethics that drives this tawdry account. (RC) Annotation copyright Book News, Inc. Portland, Or.

Inside the PLO is an older book published in 1990 but is still one of the authoritative sources on the early years of not only the PLO but the groups that were affiliated with it. Making clear the various factions and organizations that make up the PLO and analyzing their impact on one another from the militant side to the state building side. While not written in the most engaging style the information within is a gold mine for those seeking to understand the complex nature of a group that is critical to success in a peaceful Middle East. This book provides thoughtful analysis on the leadership and the relation of that leadership to states in the region and the broader world state. For those interested in how the PLO shapes the Middle East and the conflicts there this is an excellent book to start with and not one to miss.
