This is a take on the classic tale, beauty and the beast. I'm a huge fan of beauty and the beast so when I was asked by a review team to read this. I was all for it sadly, this story just fell short for me.
The third party pov was hard to read. It was like listening to someone tell you about these people and their lives in such odd and random detail without emotional connection or even focus on the love story. It jumped around from character to character and the romance wasn't not there. The plot made no sense to me. Add in randomly having chapters thrown at you in the middle of this story that was a different story, it happen to be the book the girl was reading during her story. It was odd and confusing.
Oh dear, where to start. This did not deliver for me. I'm not sure I liked any of the characters; and I know I was disappointed in the story line. So our male star has a unique disability similar to Tourette syndrome. At least figure out how to spell Tourette; and make the affliction believable. And that is just one editing error in a book that was filled with incorrect grammar and punctuation. I was hoping for a new series. This isn't it. Nor will I buy anything else from this author.
I had to restart this book because life got in the way. But I am glad that I got it read. I have been a CP fan for a while now and this book was awesome.
