Seph sees all types of weird things while working at a bar by Area 51. But when a bar fight turns into proof of aliens on earth, her world comes crashing down. Things take a turn for the scary when he kidnaps her. She fights, but he’s not letting her go. And while she’s confused and shocked, she’s not sure she wants him to.
Rulik says she’s his mate and she disagrees. He’s not human. He’s also a liar. So why can’t she stop fantasizing about him and her without clothes on. His attempts at romance are pretty bad, but with every gesture, her heart melts a little more for him.
While Rulik tries to make her see sense during their space travel, a real dilemma sets in. Will these two make a power couple in space? Or will their love be nothing more than cosmic dust?
Chosen by the Alien Dragon is filled with twists and turns and things you don’t see coming. Seph is kidnapped by an alien. I love that she lets him know that no matter how hot he is she is less than thrilled with him. I really liked Rulik. The 7 foot + alien dragon guy is a marshmallow when it comes to Seph. Watching them find each other and themselves was sweet.
This is a simply captivating read, thoroughly enjoyed this book This is a new book in this series and I loved it very much I felt that the story had been very well written the characters and the plot was simply fantastic and I am sure that other readers will feel the same about this book as well. Seph is a worker in a bar and she has had to work hard to keep her head above the water but she does not complain she simply gets on with day-to-day life existing as best as she possibly can. When she finds herself being kidnapped, she has no idea why or what for or who by but none of these questions really matter all she knows is that she is being held hostage and is not happy about it. Rulik is determined that his mate stay with him and allow him to care for her and ensure that she is safe and healthy and as things begin to move in the right direction it seems that she also feels the connection between them. Only time will tell. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Dragon!! one of my very fav shifters to read about. Great story, great characters, and great world.
She has busted her tail making a life for herself she's worked hard for her simple life but it's all she knows. She's been on her own for a very long time. Then gets kidnapped. He is out doing some surveillance so to speak when all hell breaks and then he kidnaps her. We have a mate that doesn't want to be a mate and not happy she's been dragon nabbed. We have a dragon that is all about wanting to take care of the stubborn human hot woman that he knows is his. What a time of it *laughs* The story was so fun to watch the I'm not interested, You so crazy...she's hot and he's yummy. This won't work to the aw moments that make the story hot and amazing. Will the oh-so-aw moments be enough to put them together? Or will the new just be too new? check it out take the journey with the Alien Dragon and the human I'm not his mate. *winks* enjoy.

The last 1/4 of this book is to me the saving grace of the story. For the first part it wasn't bad, but I just didn't find it very engaging. Both Seph and Rulik seemed to have trouble just communicating with each other and the chemistry was much more lust driven than love driven (not a bad thing, just wasn't working in this story). I could feel bad for Seph for being kidnapped and taken from her home, but her "plan" to steal the ship was so idiotic it wasn't even funny. Rulik never seemed to really understand what he wants and clearly didn't know how to really interact with others (which makes sense based on what is revealed about his culture). The last 1/4 of the book though we start to see more actual emotion between them and more connection, still some misunderstandings but more effort to actually work on things. I'd actually be interested in more of the story based on this last part.
Meh. This story wasn't really my cup of tea. I read it for a challenge. Rulik is an alien, which can also turn into a dragon, but only once and not during any time of actual need. Both Seph and Rulik are okay, but I guess I'm just not that into aliens. I didn't feel like there was a big finish, did the Regency even care? Will they ever come into contact with other creates of the same species -ya know for the children to find mates? Will Rulik get the thing in his head fixed so they can just live on Earth? Those things apparently weren't important.
Chosen by the Alien Dragon offers a thrilling, action-packed introduction to a series that blends elements of sci-fi, fantasy, and romance. The story centers around a strong, determined heroine who finds herself caught in the intense and dangerous world of alien dragons. The author creates a vivid, immersive universe filled with fascinating alien species, political intrigue, and epic battles. The alien dragon element is particularly exciting, as the titular dragon is both awe-inspiring and intimidating, with a mix of primal power and unexpected vulnerability. The romance that develops between the protagonist and the dragon is at the heart of the narrative, combining elements of tension and passion while also exploring themes of trust, loyalty, and personal growth. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, driving much of the emotional depth in the story.
While the book succeeds in delivering an engaging, fast-paced adventure, there are a few elements that may feel familiar to readers of the genre. The dynamic between the heroine and her dragon is reminiscent of other sci-fi or fantasy series where a human and a powerful, often otherworldly creature, form an unlikely bond. The pacing, at times, can feel rushed as the plot moves quickly from one dramatic event to another, leaving little room for deeper character exploration. Nevertheless, Chosen by the Alien Dragon is a fun and exciting read for fans of alien romances and sci-fi fantasy. It’s perfect for those looking for an entertaining escape into a world filled with adventure, danger, and an undeniable bond between a human and a dragon. The book sets up an intriguing premise for the series and leaves readers eager to see where the next installment will take them.
"Chosen by the Alien Dragon" is a captivating blend of science fiction and romance, set in an imaginative world where alien dragons rule over distant planets. The story follows the journey of a human woman who finds herself caught between the powerful alien race and her own desires. The world-building in this book is exceptional, with richly detailed descriptions of the alien planet and its inhabitants. The author creates a vivid, immersive environment that feels both alien and familiar, seamlessly blending futuristic technology with ancient traditions. The dragons, in their majestic and fearsome glory, add a thrilling element to the narrative, with their complex personalities and intriguing motives.
The characters, particularly the protagonist, are well-developed, though there are moments when they could benefit from more depth and growth. The relationship between the human woman and the alien dragon leader unfolds with a mix of tension and chemistry, though it occasionally veers into predictable territory. The romance, while steamy and engaging, sometimes takes center stage over the plot, leaving certain elements of the world and secondary characters underexplored. That said, the author does a fantastic job creating a sense of urgency and emotional stakes, making it a page-turner for readers who enjoy the combination of sci-fi adventure and romance. While the story leans heavily on familiar tropes, it offers enough surprises to keep readers hooked for the next installment in the series. For fans of alien romance and action-packed sci-fi, "Chosen by the Alien Dragon" offers an enjoyable and thrilling ride.
Human Seph works in a bar near to area 51 and sees all sorts of weird things and people. However, when a bar fight turns into real proof that aliens are real her world changes. It turns scary when he kidnaps her and even though she fights he is not letting her go and yet while she is confused and shocked she is not so sure she wants him to either. Alien Rulik says she is his mate but Seph disagrees because he is not human and is a liar - but she can't stop fantasising about him with no clothes on. His attempts at romance are dreadful but as time passes her heart melts just a little bit more for him. The question is - can he get her to see sense that they would be great out in space travelling together or will their love be nothing more than space dust?
I enjoyed this story with a crazy mix between alien abduction and a fated mates story. I loved Rulik and his inept communication skills and sassy Seph and her determination to not become a victim but to own her future and circumstances. It was great that they eventually found common interests that brought them together and that it became more and more obvious that whether you understood it or not, they were meant to be together. Well written, easy to read and understand and a great story with an imaginative plot. Contains some explicit sexual content.
Let me start by saying that I love most stories about dragons, and this one was no exception! I didn't realize that this book was co-written, I hadn't read anything by Ava Hunter before but I have read almost everything by Milly Taiden-so I figured it had to be a good read. And it definitely is! Seph is a bartender in Area 51 and has been on her own for a very long time. Rulik has been drawn to the bar she works in multiple times while trying to accomplish his mission, which is to map out new worlds. But when his cover is blown, he has no choice but to kidnap Seph and bring her with him. And when he realizes she is his mate, he will have a fight on his hands trying to keep her.
There are lots of laughs in this book along with lots of steamy portions! At times though I didn't like how Seph acted and the things she would say. Which is my only reason for dropping it from 5 stars down to a 4! Everything else about this story just drew me in and kept me reading. I liked the suspense and the bits of action along with all the laughs and most definitely the steamy parts! Here is to hoping this is the start of a series since I do love series books!
Chosen by the Alien Dragon is a new book by Milly Taiden & Ava Hunter. In this book we follow as human Seph & alien dragon shifter Rulik make their way to happily ever after.
Seph has had a rough time of things, but she's finally in at a place in life where she's happy...maybe...well kind of. It's kind of hard to tell sometimes what with all the strange stuff going on around there. But she never expected that the cute biker would turn out to be a real alien, much less a kidnapper.
Rulik is on a mission on Earth & he likes it alot. He really doesn't want to get a new assignment yet. That would mean giving up his bike & no more stops at the bar to see her. But then a bar fight turns south & he ends up kidnapping the pretty bartender. Now what was he going to do?
This book is a slightly different take on the alien abduction theme. The characters interesting, kind of weird, but interesting. The plot line was interesting with plenty of twists & turns.

Rulik was a great character. He was an alien undercover on Earth in order to "map" out new worlds. At times he had trouble articulating what he wanted to say and make himself understood. But he was overall kind, generous and protective. Seph is human who works at a bar in Area 51. She had a difficult past so she doesn't really trust easily. I had trouble liking her though. At times it seemed like she purposely misunderstood Rulik so she could make him feel bad. She had moments that I thought she may be changing but then she would jump to conclusions again. Some people will love her attitude and some won't. I loved the book though and the ending was wonderful. These two authors are great when they write by themselves so I am interested to find out where this co-authorship leads. I am also wondering in which direction the next book will take.
Seph is a bartender at an area 51 bar. She's used to drunk and disorderly patrons. She's used to space nerds and conspiracy theories. After a fight breaks out with one of the regulars the last thing Seph expected was for the customer to change into a 7 foot alien. Talk about bubble being burst. Huge understatement. Huge!!! Rulik has broken his cover. He has been revealed to humans. Big whoops. So what does he do next? Abduct Seph and take her to his ship and take off. Brilliant plan!? Prior to the abduction there was a hint of an attraction between the two. Rulik decides to act on it. I mean why not? The two of them are alone on his ship with nothing but space (wink) and opportunity. Seph is immediately not interested in this line of thinking. All Seph wants is to return to Earth. Can't really fault her. Eventually Seph and Rulik find a happy medium plus more.

Seph has been on her own since she was in her teens. She's currently a bartender outside of area 51. She knows its going to be an interesting night when Jarvis walks in the door. Rulik (Jarvis) has been mapping Earth for a while now but he keeps getting drawn back to this bar. He doesn't want to leave but knows his people will call him home.
This night his cover is blown in a fight with some bikers. When he tears everything up, he cannot leave Seph behind. When he abducts her, little does he realize his true fight begins. Seph is his mate but she is determined to go home, even if it means taking him down.
Milly and Ava did an amazing job with these characters. They didn't automatically fall in love but were fighting tooth and nail until they realized they were in love. I wish I could see what happens for them next.
Loved it! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I love to read books from Milly Taiden and Ava Hunter is new to me. This is Rulik and Seph's story. Seph is human who works at a bar in Area 51. Rulik was an alien undercover on Earth. Rulik usually gets into a fight but this one night is way over the top. This is when he believes that Seph is his mate. What will happened when you wake up in space? Can Rulik get Seph to see that they are mates? It's a well written story with amazing characters and a wonderful storyline! It has some action, suspense, intrigue, and of course steamy. I couldn’t put it down. I can't wait to read more from both of these authors. Keep up the awesome work!
Book one in new A Fated Mates Sci Fi Romance by Milly Taiden and Ava Hunter Seph works in a bar near Area 51 and it’s a “rough and tumble without being sleazy”. Seph has seen it all in the bar but when a fight breaks out Seph gets kidnapped you a very peculiar guy that is crazy saying he’s her mate. Seph really tries to escape but Rulik is determined to mate and stay together. His attempts to court her is hilarious and surprisingly starts to win Seph over. This is a great book and different then the other sci-fi romances written by Milly Taiden but as always still fantastic. Definitely look forward to more in this series.
Oh my goodness! This book is so different from a Milly Taiden book yet there are underlying things that make it shine as one of her books. I love dragons but this one is really hard to picture as he is described but then after a while, who cares. Rulik comes across as a harsh MC of a cowboy but in reality, he is an alien who has met his mate in an orphan Seph on Earth. He has to take her back with him after a big bar fight has him showing his true self and blowing up her bar. Plus well he can't leave his mate behind, can he? This book is full of snark and sniffles and well romance too. It's good!
What a fantastic story! I love the realistic back and forth snarkiness of the characters! With each well placed barb the author drew me further into the story and the pain these characters have to overcome before finding their HEA. I think one of my favorite scenes is when they are visiting Audrey. I couldn’t help but laugh as they did there best to return to the ship. This book is one that I know I will be reading again. I enjoyed this story and hope to see more by these talented authors soon.
As a bartender, she'd seen plenty, especially where they were located. Little did she know that she'd become not only a believer but a witness in Area 51--when an alien dragon grabbed her to take to his spaceship.
He is in big trouble. At least he'd found his mate. Taking her might help. He just had to convince her of the mission before they arrived.
During their space travels, they had time to develop feelings. Some big surprises coming their way. Add danger, revaluation of the mission, and steam.
Enjoyable and entertaining read. Filled with lots of twists and turns. I absolutely loved Seph no sense attitude towards Rulik definitely made for a more realistic read. Add in the action, suspense, intrigue, and of course steamy romance made for a helluva read. Overall a good read. I received a free copy via Booksprout and as always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Very enjoyable read! Very well written with amazing characters and a wonderful storyline! Seph was awesome with her kick butt attitude! I loved Rulik! He was tough but so sweet! They were just awesome together! Lots of action, humor, suspense and definitely steamy! I couldn’t put it down! Loved how things turned out with their family! Highly recommend!

I would have liked a little more action in this books. Rulik is dissatisfied with his life. Traveling the universe on a mapping expedition is a lonely life. On his last night on Earth he gets into a bar fight and kidnaps the bartender who is his mate.
Needless to say she is not happy about being kidnapped and is very contentious with him. Much of the story revolves around this.
Honestly for me it took me longer to get into this book then it has some of her others in the past. Its well written with a great story line, plot and characters it just took a long time to hook me into reading and the ending was not what I thought it would be . I love millys books and I plan to keep reading anything she has out .

Love both authors but this isn’t their best work. While it’s a sweet story, there are some plot holes and inconsistencies that made it hard to read. Plus it’s really long (50 chapters) but unfortunately very dry too. While there was a surprising twist that did make it minutely interesting, neither main character was likable to me and I was disappointed in the ending. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it and will not be reading any other books in the series.
His is a scfi feel good book and I love it. Rulik is a rough and tumble space explorer and Seph is a bartender that can handle her own. They explore space and come upon several situations that will have laughing , tears in your eyes and breathing fast from the dangers, even a satisfied sigh. So one click this little jewel and enjoy. I volunteered to read and review an advance reader copy.
When Seth is kidnapped by the Alien she is one smart cookie. She makes this Alien who is tall and sexy understand her ways. There will be twist and turns and they come out on top. Jarvis made me laugh when he they talked about the spaceship and what type it should be. Little knowing that eth would be getting on a ship. Rulik is a softy when it come to her. I loved how the book took it's time to let us learn and love the characters.
Seph thought she'd seen it all at the bar outside of Area 51. But the crazies had nothing on Rulik- the guy that turned into the over 7 foot tall blue alien - and he had horns?! Not only that but he trashed her bar and kidnapped her to boot! But when the dust clears and the pod flies he claims she's his mate. What? A very sexy Sci Fi romance by Ava Hunter and Milly Taiden!
This book is slow to start plot-wise, but the action is there from the beginning. The middle gets a bit slow, but it’s so worth the ending. The surprise/twist almost at the end was awesome and helped the plot along quite well. It’s an enjoyable read. I’ll be on the look out for more from this author.

This was a good read and a great collaboration between two authors, one of which is one of my favorites and one which is new to me. The characters were well written and endearing. The story line was engaging and kept me reading.

Quite an interesting storyline. I enjoyed the interactions between Rulik and Seph. The bar scene really pulled me into the book, laughing while Rulik tried to explain to Seph what happened and how she wound up in a spaceship! Loved it, loved it, loved it!
