This book was very interesting to read. It had a lot of informative information in it. I especially liked the fact that you could learn different ways about healing soaps aromatic. There are different parts and steps that you learn in this book on how to make multi colored aromatic healing soaps. I absolutely loved the fact that the author went into detail on how to make these soaps. After reading this I am excited in trying my hand-soap with this book in hand. The book itself covers literally everything. I learned things I never would've even thought about until I was standing over a bunch of soap-making equipment and scratching my head. I was wondering what to do next. However, after reading this book, it made it a lot easier to learn how to make these soaps. I don't usually like DIY or self-help books like this because it can be tedious to read, but I was kept interested the entire time. The author did a great job in explaining what needed to be done in the 2nd edition. I am glad that I got this book, because I will truly be making some aromatic healing soaps with this self guide. I recommend this book to be read by any and everyone. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This definitely feels like an in depth beginning to making some rad soaps. I love how she puts the rules in place, like what colors are complimented by other colors on the wheel or what fragrances might pair well, but then adds that it’s really up to us to decide what we like. 🥳 Yeah! The pictures are much nicer in color so I switched from my kindle paper white to some reading on my phone to get the full effect.
I also liked the info on how what we think is soap in stores are labeled as “beauty bars” or something else because they’re technically NOT soap! Next time I’m in the store I’m gonna give those a look…and see what’s currently in my bathroom too!
I already own a number of essential oils so making some diy soap sounds like a fun project to try out. Maybe listen to some Pavarotti and have myself a little Soap Opera. 😆
