I think the author's conclusions about Dubai are a bit exaggerated.

No nation or city is squeaky clean. Even the most advanced industrial nations like the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Germany have corruption and money laundering issues. To pretend that UAE is the only nation that turns a blind eye to money laundering schemes is hypocritical and laughable.

There are a lot of interesting information in the book, but its claims about money laundering and corruption in Dubai and UAE are overblown in my opinion.
