I’ve read some of these stories in the second anthology, Another Family Affair but I missed reading some from the first anthology so I neeeeded to pick this up.
I’ll rate each story individually and link my previous review if I’ve already read it somewhere else.
▪️From The Wreckage by Yolanda Olson I missed this one in the first anthology so yayyyy for getting to read it! Uncle-niece story with a bit of other familial relations as a backstory in there. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of naughty times and without a lot of detail. That’s what I liiiiive for, haha. And it ended with a literal bang, that’s for sure. 😳 (Psst.. not that kind of bang, you perv😂) 3.5⭐️
▪️Illicit by A.A. Davies Older aunt (28) and younger nephew (18). I don’t think I’ve ever actually read an aunt-nephew book so yay. The storyline was whatever though and it ended super abrupt. But I got one pretty hot sex scene so I’m still happy. 3.5⭐️
▪️Kenji by Yolanda Olson Read this in Another Family Affair so I skipped it in this boxset. Snow is Kenji’s cousin. I didn’t like it much because pet play isn’t really my thing buuuut when it is, I like the fluffier sweeter side. This definitely isn’t that. But obviously if you’re reading Yolanda’s stories you know that shit going in. 😂 (My review is over here) 2.25⭐️
▪️Rivalry by A.A. Davies This was one of my absolute favorites in Another Family Affair. Since this whole boxset is about family love, I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that it’s about 2 high school students who didn’t know they were related at first. Then when they found out, they were like fuck it. Hah, I love that. This was one that I would love as a full-length story. (My review is over here) 4⭐️
▪️Reckless by Yolanda Olson Well damn. That escalated quick as fuck. 😳 At least we got a little sex scene in there. I kinda wish there was a bit more meat to this story, honestly... but I liked what I did read. This is the kinda shit I enjoy - any blood and gore and murder directed at side characters and not the main characters. (FYI this is a brother-sister story) 3.75⭐️
▪️Resist by A.A. Davies This one features Thalia, the best friend of Sage from Rivalry. We actually get a quick mention or 2 of Sage and Storm. 😍 Thalia’s story includes brother-sister of the noncon variety while also featuring some FF action between Thalia and an older girl, Haven. This was interesting enough but just an okay read. Haven’s brother, Rush, is mentioned and said to have a story in the Outlaws Anthology. 3.5⭐️
Overall this was decent. I liked the additional stories added in here plus some I didn’t get a chance to read in the other limited time only anthologies. I definitely recommend this if you like that family lovin’ and missed the first 2 Family Affairs.

REVIEW: Oh Huck, you not so gentle giant. Your wife may not have been the one for you all along. Seems your tastes were a little more familial in nature, Maddi is her mother’s daughter after all. How could you resist. Sampling your sister once upon a time left you craving her copy, even if she’s your daughter (or so it seems to be inferred). This was a complete novella with a HEA ending.
I wonder if Huck and Troy, from Deep Blue, live near each other. That would make for some interesting family farm days. . . 🧡ILLICIT by A.A. Davies (MF) RATING: 5⭐️
REVIEW: Ugh 😩 I wish this story was longer!! It’s a tale as old as time - teacher falls for her student. Only this time the student is actually her half-sister's eighteen year old son, her nephew. Add underlying drama in the story and I’m left with so many questions. Are they ever found? Who exactly is Carter’s dad? How is Jennifer doing? What ever actually happened to Guy? While we did get a happy in the moment ending I’m greedy and want more, so much more. This story was originally published in the Family Affair anthology. . . ♥️ KENJI (An Irongate Prequel) by Yolanda Olson (MF) Rating: 4⭐️
REVIEW: Kenji keeps Snow as his companion. She is his pet fox. Her day-to-day life is what you would expect for a pet. She is collared, fed from a bowl, and made to sleep at Kenji's feet. This took the games of a dom in a new direction for me but overall I have to say I am highly intrigued with Kenji and hope to see more this Japanese tattoo artist. Especially with that ending!! We're left wondering what secrets the future hold. *At this time the Irongate series has not been released. This story was originally published in the Another Family Affair anthology. . . 🧡RECKLESS by Yolanda Olson RATING: 4⭐️
REVIEW: Hudson Winstead is dreading her older brother Rogan’s release from jail. She was always his favorite toy to destroy. Having besmirched the family name oil tycoon Charles Winstead and wife Greta aren’t keen on their son’s return either. An awkward family reunion leads to twists I wasn’t expecting both in and out of the bedroom. It would have been fun to see this Bonnie and Clyde crime couple living their best crime spree life. Maybe we’ll get treated to a story expansion down the road. . . 🧡RIVALRY: A Lakemere Story part 1 by A.A. Davies (MF) Rating: 3.5⭐️
REVIEW: This story seems like a simple storyline. Rich boy falls for a girl from the other side of the tracks. Rival schools. Different crowds. The jock and the outsider. Then everything changed in the last few pages. While I started to see the twist being hinted at, I kept trying to discount my suspicions up until the very end. And Storm and Sage didn’t care, not one bit. They just rolled on with life and a HEA. . . 🧡 RESIST: A Lakemere Story part 2 by A.A. Davies RATING: 5⭐️
Phew, this one packed a punch. We first meet Thalia as the best friend of Sage in the story RIVARLY. One night of letting go gave Thalia an unencumbered moment of solace with Haven high above everyone else in a cage at Vibe. Then disaster struck when a lie of omission was uncovered. They say age is just a number yet it’s the dividing line for many things.
Thalia’s life is anything but perfect, complete with miserable parents and the stepbrother from hell. If circumstances were different he’d be the bully you’d hate to love. But that’s not the case here. Intense noncon scenes ensue with brutal consequences. This was a complete novella with a HFN ending and was previously published in the Girls Night anthology.
The complete Lakemere series is comprised of four interconnected stories. The author hasn’t mentioned if this will ever be republished as an omnibus, but we can all cross our fingers and hope!! ✨ PART 1: RIVALRY ✨ PART 2: RESIST ✨ PART 3: UNRULY is a forbidden romance between Haven’s big brother Rush and his ex-girlfriends mother that was published in the OUTLAWS anthology. ✨ PART 4: INDECENT is a forbidden romance between Blaise, a Chicago Fire Captain and partime doorman at Vibe, and his niece that was published in the A Final Family Affair anthology.

I have read the first two stories in the Family Affair Anthology and the next two in the Another Family Affair Anthology. So I'll be reviewing the last two stories only.
Reckless by Yolanda Olson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this author. She writes such dark stories. I'm definitely going to read more stuff by her. This story is a brother-sister love story with a badass ending. Just amazing!!
Resist by A A Davies ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It is a FF romance book involving sexual assault and rape. It was a really great book!
A couple of the stories were DELICIOUS and a couple were just plain weird. Glad I read though, some authors definitely better than others in regards to plot, story-telling, pace etc.
