A satisfying end to the series, this instalment wraps up everything perfectly and we learn more about The Messenger. The powers of The Messenger intrigued me from the start, since this is a Christian book, there is no swearing or inappropriate romantic gestures.
The ending felt somewhat unrealistic that practically all of her friends lived that were alive in this book. The fast-paced plot and diverse mix of characters, and especially the prominent role of magic makes this an enjoyable read. It also isn't very long.
Overall, a satisfying conclusion imbued with tidbits of romance and some action.

This is the final book in this series, and I think the author did a wonderful job of wrapping it all up. There was heaps of action, bits of romance (but not too much - it's a Christian book), angels, demons, and great characters galore. There was also some areas left open for a possible second series. Overall, I really enjoyed this series. It's young adult, and I'd feel comfortable having my kids read it. And the storyline was fresh. That's hard to find! Fun read!

Young adults, and fantasy readers in general, should enjoy this exciting conclusion to the Montrose Paranormal Academy series.
Having read the previous books, I was keen to see what happens to Lucy in the series finale.
The story picks up from book 4, with Lucy, her reunited family, and close friends once again on the run from the evil Nexis Society. The action keeps coming, enhanced with far flung backdrops including Kuwait and an abandoned temple cave system in India.
I enjoyed the fast-paced plot and diverse mix of characters, and especially the prominent role of magic. I think fans of the series will enjoy this concluding book, and I look forward to reading more from this author.

In anticipation of this final book of the series, I binge-read all previous installments, and let me tell you it was totally worth it!!!! I loved the series from book 1, and I was anxious to find out how the story ended. This final installment ties up everything together. There's action, adventure, magic, sweet young romance, and a stunning finale that had me smiling with utter satisfaction. Not to mention that there are hints of more stories to come? I sincerely hope Barbara Hartzler will write a sequel with Paige's story!!!

The Last Ruby by Barbara Hartzler is Book 5 in the Montrose Paranormal Academy series. Lucy, her family and friends are again on the run. The Nexis society is hot on their heels. Realizing they need help getting the last ruby, they seek help from the Guardians. This conclusion to the fast paced, action packed series is excellent. The wonderful plot, exceptional characters, and the magic have made this an awesome read and series which I highly recommend. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary review.

In Montrose Paranormal Academy book 5: The Last Ruby by Barbara Hartzler the Seer, Lucy, is done playing nice. No more hiding. The mission is clear, bring the fight to Nexis and destroy the last ruby. She is not alone this time. She has the two other chosen ones with her along with other allies. This is the final book in this great series that I received through bookfunnel. I highly recommend this and the other books in the series. This book is available on Amazon

Lucy never wanted to be the Seer but she makes the best of it. When the rebel group realizes they can not get to the last ruby without the help of the Guardians, a negotiating team to their 4th Sector Headquarters and make a deal for the Guardians to help with destroying the last ruby. This story is fun to read and chock full of action. Highly recommended.

Lucy and Will
The last ruby has been hard to find. But with the Messenger, they develop new powers together. But Nexus finds them and destroys their hideout with a missel. Lucy was able to protect everyone, but is drained. They end up back at the Guardians, to ask for help.

Fantastic series!!!
The last book in the series and once more I found myself on an awesome journey with Lucy. So gripping and action-packed, I had to keep reading and am so glad I did! Epic and highly recommended.

A great series ender. No cliffhangers. This was an action packed fast paced wild ride. Kept me on the edge of my seat. A great wrap up of a epic series. You have a nice closure with still an option for more.

Ending war
I loved reading this series. Although this was the ending of the war between the three secret societies, i would very much like to see more of what these characters do moving forward.

The plotline kind of works, but nothing special. The little girl crush on every cute guy is over the top and kills any value in the series. I can't believe I read the series with this kind of girlie infatuation with guys throughout the books.

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. Welcome to Montrose Paranormal Academy. Where Three Societies rule everything. The end has come, which means no more hiding. She brings the fight to Nexis and destroy the last ruby. She is done playing nice. She is the seer and it’s time she plays the role she was made for.
