Caden: “Grayle Meadows was like no other man I’d ever met. He was tall, handsome, sophisticated, and sexy as hell. Eyes you could lose yourself in, and never come up for air, and he was the first man I ever loved. I could have spent my life adoring and loving him, but for one thing, he said, ‘You’re too young.’ Twenty five wasn’t that young. I was just hitting my stride.”
A young man searching for his future, an older man living his life single and happy, or though he thought. Can they find the love they desire with each other when each man is searching for something different? Submission series is an age gap (25/35) M/M Romance with HFN in the first book which contain fake boyfriend, and friends to lovers.
This book was unbelievable. The timeline in age was off. The main character is the slowest lawyer ever. Too many typos to count. To top it all off it's a Cliffhanger. Book one was enough for me
Man what a rollercoaster ride of emotions. When Caden sees Grayle for the first time it’s instant attraction to the older man. Caden doesn’t know if he’s straight or gay. It doesn’t stop him from fantasizing about him. These two rotate around each other for over a year before they find themselves possibly being in the right time and place until a phone call shatters the bliss of the moment. What a cliffhanger… This would have been a 5 star read if there were not a lot of errors in it. Names were wrong and quite a few words that were not right. I think if the author would fix this then I could give it 5 stars. Other then that I enjoyed this very much. The build up, the obstacles and frustration was felt through the characters. Can’t wait to to read the next book in the series.
I am all for m/m romance, but this book has so little of it that it was beyond pathetic. The protagonists, Caden and Grayle, didn't even have proper intimacy until the very last chapter.
This book amounted to voluminous editing errors, very little likeable plotlines and rehashing of previous chapters and scenes from the two MC's POV. And Grayle's insistence on remaining loyal to his partner, Austin, was SO frustrating and boneheaded I wanted to slap the stuffing out of him! Especially since Austin was a totally unfaithful and such a liar.
Beyond the above, I can think of nothing positive to say except that I'm glad I've finished the book. (It was not at all easy, though!)
I should have DNF’d but I couldn’t. I wanted to see it to the end. Which ended in a cliffhanger. I’ll be honest I’m not going to even bother the next book. There’s a really good story to be told here but from the timelines being very off, to many people and back story’s messed up or repetitive, the names kept getting mixed, the writing style felt like there was no separation, like punctuation was there but it was as if the whole book was written as one sentence. (if that makes sense)
This story is a slapped together mess. What a struggle to read. I had to give up around 35%. Just couldn’t cope anymore with all the jumping around story line thrown in with some childish discussions and poor storyline. Don’t waste your time or money!!
Trying to navigate love isn't always easy but when the right person comes in the door you just need to go for it and get out your cookbook and make something happen. All the pieces are there make it happen because this is a recipe for love.
MM Romance (Surrender Series) Book One, my first book by this author a really great start, with the struggle between jealously and love. Looking forward to the next
