I struggle between a 3 and 4 star, but ultimately chose 4. I see myself re-reading this book again, and can’t see myself doing that for a 3 star book. My impression is this book is the product of a lot of self-reflection from the author. It reminds me of some of my personal self-reflections in my journal entries, when I do remember to write in my journal. There isn’t necessarily anything novel or groundbreaking in the advice given, but Occam’s Razor tells us sometimes the best answer is the easiest. There’s something calming about hearing the struggles a normal person has had, and how they are trying to be better.

In the end, it’s the simplicity and honesty that make this book a comforting read. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most profound insights come from the simplest truths.

This is a self-help book, the major of theme of which is that you can and should self-educate yourself throughout life. The author describes how he learned important life lessons as the result of his experiences, and further, how you can educate yourself regardless of your circumstances.

The book reads easily and quickly. This is a major benefit because it enables you to analyze your own life and self-education, instead of being bogged down in the reading itself.

Altogether, I found this book inspirational and well worth my time.
