About the author

Sujatha was the allonym of the Tamil author S. Rangarajan, Author of over 100 novels, 250 short stories, ten books on science, ten stage plays, and a slim volume of poems. He was one of the most popular authors in Tamil literature, and a regular contributor to topical columns in Tamil periodicals such as Ananda Vikatan, Kumudam and Kalki. He had a wide readership, and served for a brief period as the editor of Kumudam, and has also written screenplays and dialogues for several Tamil movies.

As an engineer, he supervised the design and production of the electronic voting machine (EVM) during his tenure at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a machine which is currently used in elections throughout India. As an author he inspired many authors, including Balakumaran, Madhan.

வெகுநாளுக்குப் பிறகு கணேஷ் வஸந்த் கதையைப் படிக்கிறேன். மிகவும் நேர்த்தியானக் கதை. வஸந்த்தின் நகைச்சுவையை அள்ளித் தெளிக்கும் வசீகர பேச்சு ஆனந்தத்தை அளித்தது. கதாநாயகி அபூர்வா தன் வாழ்வில் நிகழ்வதனைத்தும் ஒரு தொடர்கதையாக வருவதாகவும், அதில் தனக்கு கொலைமிரட்டல் வருவதாகவும் கணேஷ் வஸந்த்திடம் வருகிறாள். கொலையும் நிகழ்கிறது. அந்த கொலை யார் நிகழ்த்தினார்கள் என்பதை நாமே புரிந்துக் கொள்ளும்படி முடித்துவிட்டார் சுஜாதா. அப்பவும் புரியாதவர்கள், புத்தகத்தின் முன்னுரையைப் படித்து தெரிந்துக் கொள்ளலாம்.

In 2001, Visa Publications created an edition of Ainthavathu Athiyayam which contained two ultra-short novellas: Oriravil Oru Rayilil (ஓரிரவில் ஒரு ரயிலில்), and the title story, Ainthavathu Athiyayam (ஐந்தாவது அத்தியாயம்).

Oriravil Oru Rayilil (ஓரிரவில் ஒரு ரயிலில்) is a crisp and suspenseful story with an unexpected ending.

Ainthavathu Athiyayam (ஐந்தாவது அத்தியாயம்) is slightly longer, an unusual thriller where Ganesh & Vasanth are involved in story right from the very beginning. Sujatha does not untangle the mystery for the readers in explicit fashion, but does leave enough clues to understand the ending.

Ainthavathu athiyayam is basically a mysterious fiction which have characters Ganesh and Vasanth again.I already had very much love on those characters after read kolaiyuthir kalam of him.It is an interesting story.
summury : A series published in magazine named mayaa is related to the life of heroine who is an ex model and a psychiatric patient as well,approaching Ganesh and Vasanth for the solution of getting that mysterious writer and finally it was ended up with a mysterious death of her husband as written in magazine and the mystery continued to the end with the writer of the series ......

சுஜாதா அவர்களின் எழுத்துக்கு நான் எப்போதும் ரசிகன். முதல் பக்கத்திலிருந்து கடைசிப் பக்கம் வரை ஒரே மூச்சில் படித்து முடித்தேன். வழக்கறிஞர் கணேஷின் புத்திசாலித்தனமும், வசந்தின் வெகுளித்தனமும் வழக்கம் போல நம்மை ஈர்க்கின்றன.

கதையின் போக்கிலேயே சில சந்தேகங்கள் வந்தாலும், கிளைமாக்ஸ் ட்விஸ்ட் அற்புதம். சுஜாதா சொன்னது போல, உன்னிப்பாகப் படித்தவர்களுக்கு மட்டுமே உண்மையான முடிவு புரியும். மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை வாசிக்கத் தூண்டும் ஒரு நாவல். மஸ்ட் ரீட்!

A decent thriller featuring the popular Ganesh–Vasanth duo. It’s a short, engaging read that can be finished in one sitting and is very beginner-friendly. It’s been a long time since I read thrillers, and I really enjoyed getting back into it with this. Sujatha’s books are always my go-to for quick, simple reads that pull you out of a reading slump. If you’re new to reading or trying to get back into it, his thrillers are a great place to start as they are short and easy to read.
