"Superkid" is a clever book for mid-grade readers that runs along at a great pace and has more than a few sci-fi/comic references between its pages. It's ideal for smart kids who like comic books but search to find chapter books they like as well. It's equally fun for adults - especially geeky ones like me. It will sit well with tweens, but I wouldn't think twice about reading it as a bedtime story to the 7-9 year-old crowd, too, even if it's a bit above-grade. Like comics, it's a fun story to share.
Author Matt Harry again proves he has a knack for mid-grade fiction. I look forward to whatever comes next from him and Codex Arcanum Press.
