This book and Lou and Junior partially overlap at times; therefore, you will see the same scene from the view of the main character. Hello! I’m Persephone, I was named after a band my mom was in when she was in high school. She loved that band, well, the drummer in that band. I love Lou. I met him when my dad got stationed here and I went to theatre camp that summer. My mom and dad are splitting so my mom rented a house in a neighborhood that lets me go to Lou’s school. The first time I went to Lou’s house, I learned his dad was Drum, as in the Drum, as in that drummer from the band. Things are crazy enough in my life, but I am not letting go of Lou just because our parents have history. History is NOT going to repeat itself if I have anything to say about it. Hi. I’m Lou. Things generally run smoothly in my life. My parents are weird this year, that gets worse when my dad’s ex happens to be my girlfriend’s mom. Still, I can’t save my parents. I can’t even save myself. I love her and I am not letting anyone, including my parents keep us apart. It’s not Romeo and Juliet despite the fact we are in drama together. The drama in my real life starts to rival the one I’m taking the lead role for this year. I’m just trying to keep up.
