Katlyn Grace is a twenty-four-year-old writer residing in a small town in beautiful West Virginia. When she’s not writing, she fills her days with homemaking, being a wife to her husband, Brad, and leading a small group of teen girls in Bible study. She also owns a candle business with her sister and enjoys time with loved ones. Her prayer is to inspire others to follow Christ more intimately through her writings.
It has been a little while since I finished reading this book, but life got busy so I haven't had as much time to write a review for it.
This book has fun banter, genuine faith, intense excitement, tender relationships, and sweet romance.
One of my favorite parts about this book is how much Grace fills it with the truth of the gospel. She doesn't shy away from talking about Christ and having her character's learn to really trust Him. I love when Christian fiction is truly Christian and this is one of those books.
Sometimes I found the story moving a little slowly, but there was generally enough excitement to move on past those parts. Overall it was an enjoyable read. Though I haven't read the middle book in this series yet, I could tell that the author has grown a lot in her writing skills.
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author\publisher for promotional purposes. I was not required to write a positive review. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.
“Hey, we’re going to catch him, okay?” He stood and made her do the same, then pulled her into his arms.
She made her chin stop wobbling and buried her head in his chest. “What if we don’t?”
“Don’t talk like that.”
“I’m so tired of living in fear, Brandon.”
He pulled away, making her look in his eyes. “Perfect love casts out all fear, remember?”
I need to start this review by saying that I've been rooting for Bri and Brandon since the first book of Katlyn Grace's The Lawson series (previous reviews can be read: here), and I'm prettyyyyy sure they're my favorite couple from the series. 👀🙈
The relationship that Bri and Brandon had was just too precious for words. Obviously, they had a bumpy start, but once they started spending more time with each other...it was SO great to see them open up and bond in more ways than one. Also, their bickering was ADORABLE. As was Brandon's puns/flirting.
As far as content goes: So, the book is a clean Christian read...however, there were several elements (drugs/drug smugglers, rape and abuse, trafficking, anxiety, grief, abandonment, fear, anger) that could be triggering for some readers. None of this was triggering for me, but the book definitely had heavier themes.
Despite the darker parts of their journey as a couple and individually, Brianna and Brandon finallyyyy got their well-deserved happy ending...and I am THRILLED.
Overall, this book had a beautiful message about love, faith, trust, and forgiveness.
Also, I can't believe the series is over!! 😱😭

Finding Love is the feisty new addition to Katlyn Grace's Lawson Series. When Bri Lawson's greatest nightmare shows up in town and threatens her safety, she finds herself having to turn to the last person on earth she wants to rely on: longtime family friend Officer Brandon Smith. Thrown together on her case, Bri and Brandon are both forced to face their deepest fears hand in hand, reaching for faith in God in the midst of turmoil and finding love and hope along the way. In this friends slash enemies-to-lovers story (depending on if you're asking Brandon or Bri), Katlyn Grace deftly weaves together suspense and romance with mental health struggles, all ensconced in solid theology and a loving family setting with personalities that leap off the page. Katlyn holds the reader by the heartstrings as they discover along with Brandon that the key to Bri's future may very well lie in the most painful parts of his own past.

I must say that Brandon and Brianna have been a joy to read , this is definitely a good good read
Wow, that's really a awesome read The author was truly a blessed author... Can't wait to read more from her
I recommend this book to contemporary Christian romance readers.. you'll love it💕
Grace wrote a story filled with hope and love and displayed God’s faithfulness. Finding Love was a touching story full of broken characters, learning to trust God in everything and give it all to Him. It is the third book in Katlyn Grace’s Lawson series. We finally get to read Brianna and Brandon’s story! Wow, both Brandon and Brianna had devastating backstories, they were two hurting people. I had read Mark’s book, Finding Faith, so I was really interested in learning about Brianna. As I got to know her more, I was amazed by all she had overcome. However, she was still struggling with learning how to live again. She went through a horrible thing, and it was haunting her. I felt so bad for her and I wanted her to find peace. But I was also encouraged as she learned to trust God through all of life’s circumstances. She had to learn that God was stronger than her demons. I was cheering her on, as she fought to trust God and the people God had brought into her life. Brandon was a troublemaker, but he was also super kind. He tried to enjoy life, but also look out for those around him. It was sweet to read about him coming alongside Brianna. He had to learn that not everything is always as it seems. He also had his share of hardships. He had lost so many people in his life. He was scared to lose Brianna too, she had become one of the most important people in his life. But he had to learn that he couldn’t protect Brianna on his own. He also had to deal with his past, the memories of his childhood. Would he be able to stand by Brianna or will life pull them apart? I felt for Brandon and Brinna as they tried to work out their feelings while keeping Brianna safe. This was a battle for Brianna’s life and at times they felt like they were losing. But there were also sweet moments with them just hanging out. The side characters were a lot of fun, especially Blake. Blake and Brandon had a fun relationship. I was definitely interested to see how this book would end and I think that the pacing was excellent. The characters were also engaging and I felt like I knew them. Finding Love was a sweet Christian romance. I enjoyed it and I would recommend it to those who like clean contemporary romance. However this book does mention rape, and an abusive relationshp but there is nothing graphic.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
Thanks to the author for providing my review copy! This was a very heartfelt story! I loved Brianna and Brandon's bickering, and the cliche of "best friend's sister/brother's best friend" is always a classic favourite. I love how protective Brandon is of Brianna.
I also had a few LOL lines like "If she ever did get married, she’d be wearing white Converse. And no one would argue."
"The comment warmed her a little, but Bri didn’t want Brandon complimenting her. She wanted him to be arguing with her instead."
But it also had so many moments that made me go 'aww', it was just a really sweet book. Yet I would also classify this more as Romantic Suspense than a Romcom. I'll admit I did spot the plot twist when I was halfway through the book, but it was still a super enjoyable story. Bri and Brandon are really friends-to-lovers but also maybe with a sprinkle of enemies to lovers, which was very cute.
I haven't read the first 2 in the series but I definitely will now! Just a note - I would have appreciated a family tree to keep track of all the characters :)
This book wowed me! I went in knowing very little and expected a sweet love story, which was definitely given, but it had so much more! The mystery element was so thoughtfully woven into this beautiful love story that I just couldn’t put it down! Brianna’s past is preventing her from taking her walls down and her worst nightmare, her stalker, is haunting her. Brandon, the deputy police chief, has had a crush on Brianna since they were young but can he set aside his taunting to protect Bri when she needs it the most? The character growth in this novel was so beautiful to watch! Christian fiction isn’t a genre I’m well versed in but I can tell you this won’t be my last by Katlyn Grace! This book will sit with me for awhile!
Thank you so much to the author for my review copy!
Katlyn Grace writes about faith in a way that only someone with a deep faith herself could. She discusses the struggle of accepting the truth of the bible when times are challenging, and her characters sometimes question the goodness of God when the world around them can be so evil. These are themes that many believers and non-believers alike can relate to, and Katlyn wraps up the story in a way that proves that loving like Jesus, and trusting him even in difficult times is the key to true safety and comfort.
I really enjoyed reading the conclusion to the Lawson series, and getting to see the complexity of Brianna's backstory. The way the plot unfolds was shocking at times, and I found myself not wanting to put the book down until I had read it all-I was so invested in these characters! This was another fantastic book by Katlyn Grace.
Really enjoyed this conclusion to the Lawson series! I love how many threads from the previous books came together and resolved in this book, and I loved the themes and characters and sibling banter. If you're looking for a clean, homey-feeling read, definitely check out this series!

Finding Love is a powerful story about not just worldly love, but the every so important godly love that we all need and seek. The way Katlyn intertwines both sides of Brianna and Brandon’s story in faith and love is beautiful. It is not only a love story but a story about putting your faith and trust in god and also learning to trust others because no one has to go through things alone. I am happy to say that this story was a wonderful read and that I cannot wait for Katlyn’s next project!
