Empire #10

Section Six

Rate this book
There are some jobs too subtle, too sensitive, or too dangerous for the bureaucracy. The Empress Amanda has a solution: a secret espionage network that reports to the Emperor Trajan alone.

And they have just the man to set it up.

Nick Ashton gets his most difficult assignment yet — Section Six!

Its first mission: Wingard Sector, where someone is interfering with the Emperor's plans. There's another word for that:

Treason!

This Stephanie Osborn book is my favorite Empire book of hers so far. It stands up well to Weyand's books in the series, and fits neatly between them. I particularly liked the degree of suspense (no perfect characters anticipating absolutely everything), plus a twist near the end which I won't spoil.

Great - as I’ve come to expect. Keep um coming!

This series continues, with a second author at the helm, to satisfy. Like all too few , these books leave you with a feeling that there are good people in the world. I look forward to the next installment with a smile on my face.

Meh.

A so so book. It does a good job of telling how Section Six gets started. The storyline was just ok. Overall this book is just average.
