I see her every day, searching for love from other men, when I’m right here in front of her. But I terrify her. I should. I’m her boss. I’m a powerful man and women throw themselves at me daily. But when I catch her crying in my home when I’m supposed to be away on business, I can’t take it any longer.
I’m going to make her mine – make her my wife – but only if she drops the act and submits to me, wholly and completely. I’ll make her my wife, and she’ll thank me for it in the end. I know a keeper when I see one, and all the riches in the world could never replace her.
“Making His Wife” is the story of Jenna and Locke.
The one word to describe this book- OFFENSIVE.
So the hero is a manwhore who thinks all women are out to nab him. He also doesn’t trust them. Heroine is his secretary whom he actually likes. When she starts reciprocating the feelings- guess what he does? Tries to make her a stepford hoe- not wife- because why give her the respect? He gets her cooking and cleaning lessons- basically treating her like a maid and makes fun of her when she fails. Also doubts her on every turn and tries to “engage” with another woman. The heroine is a spineless wimp who takes all his abuse and distrust as she loves him.
I hated this. HATED THIS.
Unsafe 1/5

NO NO NO Y MALDITAMENTE NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
NO. Ella?
I'm too lazy to write a well thought-out review, so I'll just point out the things I liked and didn't like.
“I’m going to make a wife out of you, Willow,” I explain, lifting her chin to bring her eyes to mine. “And if you’re serious about me, you’ll follow everything I put you through.”
Liked: -the daddy kink cause I'm a whore
“Do you like being my wife, baby? Loving me? Taking my cock? Being a good little girl for me?” Her soaked pussy clenches down on me. She’s right there. “Yes, Daddy! I love being a good little girl for you!” My balls go taut. I feel the urge to shoot rising, and I’m not pulling out. That’s not something we do in this house. “Then you’re a perfect wife, baby. And I love you. And let me show you just how much.”
Didn't like: -for 80% of the book the H thinks the h is a gold-digging whore. -the h didn't really help his opinion of her... sigh -she dated around a lot while having a crush on him -he ran off after an argument into the arms of another woman (just for a football game, though!) *eye roll* -after giving her the "wife test" he didn't support her at all, it was like he wanted her to fail lmao -this book is just full of disappointments for me, but I usually really like JR's stuff (i swear!)
safety: virgin heroine age gap (18h, 40H) OM/OW drama (light) no cheating/sharing HEA ♡
It pulls you in at like one ☝🏽 Yeah this is definitely going to be a spicy one 🌶🌶
Watch this ....
"I don’t see why you don’t just date your boss. I mean, he’s richer than Scrooge McDuck, hotter than Brad Pitt in Troy, and daddier than George Clooney before he got old.”
Locke is a 40 year old,Hollywood movie mogul with the Rolodex 📖 to match. But he’s got his eye on his sexy executive assistant named Willow. She is the image of innocence, femininity and youth but he doesn’t trust her.
Locke’s life in the industry has made him a salty jerk so he stays to himself. Willow is one of the best assistants he’s ever had but he can’t get enough of her and when she quits his heart isn’t the only thing that will be in shambles.
This trope isn’t typically one of my go to’s. I do not like rich old men who have trust issues. But I do like a man hardened by life who finds a hot young girl who matches his crazy. Willow is Bratty which is something that rocks my world. This book has the perfect amount of daddy kink too and you know there isn’t any protection 🤞🏽🤞🏽😂.
In typical Jenna fashion these characters have a chemistry that can’t be denied.
Will the guy get the girl ? I don’t know you read and see. 🧐😉
DNF this one and I was shocked, since I normally like Jenna Rose books. But Locke was a douche (what the hell kind of a grown-ass man calls a young woman a "basic bitch" anymore?!). Willow was immature and annoying - her friends were even more annoying than her- but what do you expect from an 18 year old with no life experience? He demands that she (with the help of a professional chef and assistant) train to be his wife. I can't even... Apparently she's super pretty and has the virgin thing going for her so that's why he likes her and blah, blah, blah. So. What? The way he was treating her was embarrassing to men in general and borderline abusive. She took it and actually thought it was her fault? He is what you would consider to be an alpha/bad boy? No. Prick is more like it. And not even the good one that you might have a chance to rehabilitate into a good guy. Messed. Up. This one was a waste.

This one fell flat for me. It had a lot of potential but the manwhore hero just ruined it for me. He also has sex with other women after meeting heroine and I’m not interested in reading about a hero who can get hard and slime around with skanks when his heart belongs to the heroine. I want a hero who sees ONLY the h and wants ONLY her. That and the fact that he calls her degrading names just curdled my stomach.
The only good thing this book has going for it was a sweet, innocent and determined heroine who was too good for the hero. She took way too much abuse from him.
I usually like this author, but seriously, the "hero" is a complete jerk. If the heroine had any self-respect, she would have told him to kiss her tush and walked instead of putting up with his bull. I didn't want him to get the girl, and had no desire to finish this story.
This was definetly one of Ms. Rose’s more outrageous stories. The “alpha” was definitely an “alpha-hole”. The “heroine” was a girl with zero life experience but a bucketload of trust issues which was far less than the dump truck of trust issues that the alpha-hole has. There’s some daddy talk, an age gap (40 and 18), and it’s an office-romance (admin to CEO). It’s a quick read and if you read it with a fun attitude, you’ll enjoy it.
Did I finish this story, yes. Did I find the Male Main Character highly offensive and misogynistic, yes. Did I find the Female Main Character desperate and borderline underage, yes.
While I don't find the premise of 'wife training' as off putting as I feel like I should, the lack of trust, sympathy, and character development makes this feel very one dimensional.
I feel like this was watching a NASCAR crash where you don't want to see what happens but you want to make sure everyone makes it out ok....only this time I didn't make it out ok.
Finished this book a week ago and it still makes me angry.

I saw all the reviews and felt intrigued. I thought this might be a good hate read. But my gosh! This H is a piece of work. His every action toward the h is an act of hate. He treats every single person better than her. Wow.
What The Fuck.
My bad 💆🏿♀️🙏🏿
This is the story of Locke, a really successful producer and Willow, his assistant. They have an age gap that makes Locke think that the relationship between them could be a game for her. But the most important is Locke’s rule about not dating his employees. He has been attracted to her since the first day, but he has been strong enough to avoid the temptation. She has been attracted to him but she thinks that he is not good enough for him. In a desperate movement, she constantly date using a date app but all her dates have been a disaster. For fate, after her last date, she ended crashing on Locke’s home, exactly on Locke’s bed where he found her. She quit after trying to seduce him, but he has other plans, we wants to train her how to be a wife and verify if she is a gold digger. The story is great with a lot of ups and downs, crazy moments, a lot of misunderstanding and a lot of true love. Great story and amazing characters. Highly recommended.

Willow works for Locke as his PA. Locke is highly attracted to her but has a rule of not mixing business with pleasure until one night when he finds Willow at his home. Sparks fly and he sets her on a "wife" mission to determine whether she will pass or not This results in some tension and misunderstanding, as well as the maturity levels of their age gap.
I thought this romance was steamy hot and entertaining though I thought Willow was quite immature at times. i get that she is really 18 years old, but she cna be a bit annoying. However, the premise of this novel was cute and enjoyable to read.

3.5⭐️ Willow works as an assistant to Locke, a very successful producer. She has been daydreaming about doing other things with him for a long time, but she doesn’t even dare to look him in the eyes. In addition to the age difference of more than 20 years, the fact that he is his boos, she doubts that he will settle for a girl like her, being able to have the woman he wants every night. But the day comes when Willow decides to quit her job and as farewell she decides to try and seduce Locke, but he rejects her. But he offers her to be his wife, but first she will have to take a course to be the perfect wife for him. I wish it had been longer, but still it’s very entertaining. And the scenes between them are super 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Ummm absolutely not. I love Jenna but these characters are not it. Absolutely not it.
You know all those hero’s in books that say they don’t deserve the heroine, but they really do and then some?
Yeah well the “I don’t deserve her” applies to Locke because he really doesn’t. He was horrible and treated the women he supposedly loved horribly.
Now onto the heroine, yeah she just needed to leave him. I don’t even know why she stayed. Well I do but like seriously girl, after everything he did and put you through? Like you kept going back for more a stupid amount of times.
I wished she left and to make him grovel if he wanted her back. Because at a certain point he didn’t deserve happiness in his love life, as he was destroying his own love life himself.
Locke is a big time Hollywood business man and Willow is his assistant. Willow goes on a failed date and decides to go to Locke’s house because it’s closer and he’s out of town. He finds her there and tells her he wants her to be his wife if she can pass the test and gets her housewife 101 lessons. Locke has to get past his fear of getting involved with a gold digger and his general mistrust of women. There is also quite a large age gap, can they make it work?

This story is amazing! I was hooked from the beginning of the story. Willow is a young woman, smart, sweet, and caring. She is not having any luck of finding dates. She has a little sass. She is a amazing woman! Locke is rich, sexy, smart, and dedicated. He is a hard worker. He has been burned in the that and doesn't trust easy. This is an age gap romance which I love to read. Jenna writing is done beautifully and flows throughout the book. I love her stories! Amazing work again Jenna Rose!😍
It was a really good book. The connection and chemistry between Willow and Locke was off the charts. They both have been crushing on each other but working together was not a good thing and with Locke's trust issues, you know its going to be a roller coaster of a ride with these two. This story is steamy, full of suspense, and assumptions that is riddled in this book that was really hard to put down for me.

Jenna Rose has been a must read author for me for some time now and this book only solidifies that decision. Ms. Rose knows how to grab onto her readers from the first page e to the last with her amazing storytelling and world building. Her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Locke and Willow's story of having to fight for what you want and overcome past hurts. You really don't want to miss this book!

I thought that this was a really good book. I liked the connection and chemistry between Willow and Locke. Willow and Locke have both being crushing on each other but with their working relationship and Locke's trust issues, these to have a steamy, loved, suspense, and assumption riddled book that was really hard to put down for me. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Jenna.

Best I can give is 3 stars just because the story wasn't for me. Writing and grammar us good.
Personally I hated the shallow female main character and how the main male character treated her from the start. one he started wife 101 I wanted to DNF the book but since it was a short story I completed it if you like age gap with illogical characters it would work but it wasn't my cup of tea.
Willow works as a personal assistant for Locke. Locke works in the movie industry. He is so used to gold diggers that he automatically assumes Willow is one. He hurts Willow emotionally because of his distrust. When Willow's dad shows up, he leaves Willow. Willow confronts him and walks away.

A couple that has to fight through all the LA entertainment industry as well as some family drama to get to their happily ever after really deserves five stars. I was emotionally caught up in this story. I really felt like I had a stake in how it ended (spoiler alert - there’s a happy ending!). Locke and Willow are worth reading!
Locke was playing with Willow, what with all the wife test and every thing, but Willow turned the tables on him and Showed him she was more that what he was expecting. That that he learned to trust her in the end.
