Reading the description for this book… you would honestly think that it is a lighthearted, fun time, but I can’t begin to express how much it is the opposite.

This book really delves into trauma after the war, exploring grief, understanding self-worth, loneliness, trusting other people and so many more really dark topics that I was not expecting to get into but we sure did. It was funny, though! This author always is.

The oddest thing is—I don’t know if I loved or hated this one... It was unbelievably toxic and convoluted and honestly, it felt so hopeless for the majority of the time. The back-and-forth in this book made me wanna rip my hair out, and while I can completely understand that romance and life is not linear and more often than not it never is etc etc… this book took it to a different extreme.

That being said there was something about how messy this book was that also brought it all together. The level of angst and pining in this is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. And as many of you know, I eat that up like no tomorrow and I did just that with this book.

But I don’t know. There’s something about this book that has really stumped me and I don’t understand it at all… but I’m at peace with it. That’s really all that I can say about it because I don’t know if I liked the journey, but I liked where we ended up? I think? Gah. Makes no sense, I know but alas, it’s the best I can do.

it Was good but to complicated for me. Their beginning of relationship was so hard and I think that’s a part of love I didn’t want to know about. There were cute but too complicated. I didn’t really fully understand Draco, which I tkink explained why I don’t like it that much but still they it was kind of cute ig. I think the depressive episode were a little too close from mine which made me distance myself a little bit. I actually had time where I sobbed really hard while reading
