That Wilson Charm #1

Falling for Prince Charming

Rate this book
Falling for your best friend’s brother is tricky… unless you’re keeping it a secret.

Elle

I never thought I’d be serving hotdogs dressed as an actual hotdog at the local amusement park. Not at twenty-five anyway. I know desperate times call for desperate measures, but come on... Do you know how hard it is to look good when you’re squeezing yourself in between two brown buns every day? That’s right, so hard that I’ll never get Prince Charming’s attention.

Not that it matters. He’s my best friend’s brother aka completely off-limits. But the way he looks at me makes me weak in the buns.

Colton

All I want is to get through the summer and save up some cash by playing Prince Charming at the local amusement park so I can get out of Summerville Creek before I turn thirty or – even worse – before I turn out exactly like my dad.

Falling for my sister’s best friend isn’t part of the plan, though. She’s all red hair and curves, and she’s driving me crazy in that adorable hotdog suit of hers. I try to avoid her as much as I can, but when my boss asks her to play the Princess to my Prince Charming, all bets are off. We’re park royalty now and I want the happily ever after too.

This romcom has all the laughs and sizzle but no explicit content.

Rom coms are so much fun! I love this genre, and Falling for Prince Charming did not disappoint. This is the first book I read by Ms. Robbins too, so I was a little bit nervous. But it was really good! I love the banter between the characters, and I was able to fall in love with them quickly.
Elle’s life is not going according to plan at all. She’s just been dumped by her ex boyfriend, who stole all of her money, and now, she’s moving back to her old town. But things start to look up when she connects with her best friend’s brother, Colton. Except for the fact that she’s dressed up as a hotdog at their local amusement park while Colton’s Prince Charming. Can the hotdog and Prince Charming find their happily ever after?
Elle was a really fun character! She was quirky, lighthearted, and a bit awkward, so to summarize she was super relatable. There were some parts with second hand embarrassment, but overall, it wasn’t bad at all. I loved how she had some struggles with her looks too. It wasn’t a story about her learning to be okay with who she is, but she still had some insecurities. I think that’s more realistic though, so I appreciated how Ms. Robbins incorporated that aspect of her without letting it take over her character.
Colton was adorable! He was such a sweetheart, but he was also going through some soul searching. He was desperate to leave town, and he had to dig deep to figure out if that was what he actually needed. While he was a bit of an idiot at points, he always tried hard to make up for his mistakes. I loved how kind he was to everyone, especially his coworker. It was really cute!
The story was a lot of fun. I actually laughed out loud a couple times. There were some parts that felt a little bit too cliché or a little bit rushed. But it is a rom com, so I’m okay with some clichés. This is a clean read too which is always nice.. This was an excellent story, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a good laugh or loves rom coms!

This is a fabulous and sweet rom com. I couldn't help but smile throughout. A real life fairytale, with Colton playing Prince Charming. A perfect role. Colton and Elle are just adorable. Please take me to The Magic Wonderland now it sounds amazing. There was so much fun on every page. Elle meeting Colton, her best friend's brother was so funny. They are so cute together and lots of chemistry. A lighthearted, cute read. Highly recommend.

Thank you to Sophie-Leigh Robbins for an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Irresistibly Charming

A feel-good romantic comedy is just what I needed with the way life is right now. This story was the perfect escape, invoking lots of laughs, second-hand embarrassment, and many swoons. Elle is back in home after losing everything and Colton is doing everything he can to escape, but from the first hilarious meeting to the work at an amusement park, Prince Charming may have found his match in a hot dog.

Robbins writes these characters in a way that makes them not only relatable but imperfectly real. Elle has some understandable insecurities, but she's a good sport. Colton is anything but perfect, but so utterly charming and oh, so good at his job. I've decided that stories like these must be hard to write and I appreciate every effort that goes into them because this book was so satisfying and sweet, the well-deserved dessert after a long, hard day.

From the awkward motorcycle rides to humiliating costumes, sneaking around to hysterical old ladies on a roller coaster, and unbelievable blind dates to deceitful stolen kisses, this story was full of things that slapped a big sloppy smile on my face and lightened my heart, and I loved every minute of it.

Content: mild language; mild+ romance (some innuendo, kissing, lying/sneaking around)

Oh my gosh! This was such a fun, cute story. I immediately fell in love with the characters and the relationships that they had with each other. I love it in stories when two people who are supposed to stay away from each other but the chemistry is just too strong and they can't. Watching them try to avoid the inevitable is LOL hilarious.

I've read several of Sophie-Leigh Robbins' books now and I think I enjoyed this one the most, and that's saying a lot because I've loved them all. There is just something about this one—the entertaining storyline, the great characters, the funny situations that they find themselves in, the chemistry, the friendship, the amusing dialogue—it all made for a great read that I found myself thoroughly immersed in.

This story is still putting smiles on my face just thinking about it. I highly recommend Falling for Prince Charming for a bit of entertaining fun.

Book #2 in this fun series, Falling for Doctor Drop-Dead Gorgeous, is scheduled to be released on April 4, 2022. I can't wait!

It was cute but read more like a YA book. These characters did NOT seem like they were in their twenties other than drinking wine and putting an offer on a house. The way they interacted with each other was very high school. I read this book solely for the amusement park setting and that part didn’t disappoint. I’m currently working on my own WIP set in an amusement park! Also got this book for free on stuff your kindle day

✨“A pool, a dumpster, a sandy beach, or a construction site… As long as I can be with Elle, I don’t care where we are.”✨

This book was so sweet and cute and I loved the amusement park aspect of it! I’ll definitely be downloading the rest of the series 😄

*also the way Colton and Elle met was hilarious😂*

This book has a lot of really fun moments. It's funny and awkward and romantic and tense and all the good things. I loved the backdrop of an amusement park, I've only read one other book with that. I, of course, am ALL about brother's best friend romances and would like to read all of them. Literally every single one. Sometimes I think about my brother's best friends and ya know what, they're pretty much all girls. My oldest brother has a best friend that use to take great joy in teasing me. I did not like that. So, I'm not sure why I love it, but boy do I!

I need to find a small-town amusement park ASAP! This was a great story with a lot of great new characters I was sad to leave, but hopefully not for long!
Elle and Colton were so real and I was glad to spend a few hours with them. Colton puts off a tough-guy exterior, but is so sweet on the inside. Elle made some bad choices but was willing to put in the work to get a new start, and I really appreciated that about her.

This was so cute & exactly what I signed up for! Light, fluffy, quick and sweet. I probably laughed more than I was supposed to.

"Yes, Prince Charming and Princess Charlotte are very much in love," I say, and kiss Elle's hand.

The kids are probably not sure whether this is all an act or not, but I know the truth. I'm head over heels and I want the whole world to know.

Okay, so this was a super sweet book. I loved the premise of the main characters working at an amusement park because that’s honestly just so much fun; even if Elle spent most of her time as a miserable hot dog. I know Colton tried more than once to assure her that she looked great, regardless of the hot dog costume, BUT IT WAS A HOT DOG COSTUME FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, Elle was allowed to be grumpy about it lol.

Speaking of Colton...he wasn't perfect, but he definitely had that Wilson charm (wink wink) and I’m glad he wasn’t stuck up or anything about being "Prince Charming. " I love how laid-back he was compared to Elle's frazzled/jumpy self; it was totally adorable. 😊

As far as content goes: Some light language and suggestive material/innuendos. Dishonesty was obviously part of the plot. Elle dealt with some insecurities about her body and Colton struggled with his feelings over his dad leaving their family in the past (neither of those aspects were triggering for me, but they possibly could be for other readers). Overall, I would describe the book as a mild "PG-13 romance movie."

While keeping their relationship a secret from Colton’s sister might seem a little teen-ish to some readers (since they wereadults), I could understand the reasoning behind it; because they weren’t just worried about hurting Maggie...they also wanted to date each other and enjoy being together without input from everyone else. And "sneaking around" didddd make for some pretty swoony moments/memorable kisses (like the one that took place by a certain faux-stone wallllllllll).

So, I just HAVE to share a few specific points from the story...

1: That date with Zeke! OHMYGOSHHHHH, I was cringing so muchhhhh! 😬
3: The surprise blind dateS (yep, plural) that Maggie arranged? Dang, it was painfullll. I felt for poor Colton and Elle.
2: Those old ladies were a—dare I say it—rollercoaster for sure, it felt like I was reading about a bunch of unruly kids lolll. 😂🤦‍♀️

Also! I loved getting a sneak peek at Tanner (the next Wilson to get a story) and I'm looking forward to reading more about him. 👏👏

“A loud bang startles her, but then she can’t stop smiling when she sees a colorful explosion of fireworks. “This is how my heart feels when I look at you,” I whisper into her ear.”

Elle is back to her hometown after a bad breakup in France where her ex left her and took all of her money. Her best friend, Maggie, offers to have her move in with her and her brother, Colton. To get her life back in order, Colton helps her get a job at the amusement park where he works as Prince Charming. Not knowing what the job was, she immediately takes the job and ends up wearing a hot dog costume to sell hot dogs.

Colton desperately wants to move out of his hometown, but his sister tries to make him stay by setting him up on blind dates. But then when he starts hanging out with Elle more, they both develop feelings for each other. However, Maggie has a rule where Colton can’t date her best friend. What will happen once they can’t deny the attraction between them? Will Colton finally move out of their hometown?

Wasn't a fan of this one because there was a lot of making out and mild innuendoes. The concept of the theme park plot and the main characters being characters there was fun, but there was a lot of content I’m personally not a fan of. Technically it’s a closed-door romance, but that can still mean some heavy make out sessions. Honestly not sure why I finished it? 🤨

Main Content:
Language like ‘turd’, ‘crap’, ‘heck’, ‘hell’, *ss’ and ‘b*d*ss’ are used. God’s name is taken in vain multiple times. Colton says a version of “mother of—“ and is lectured by a mom and her children (he apologizes but she fusses at him and he gets annoyed, thinking that it’s not that big of a deal); They both lie quite a bit (including to his sister).

Colton & Elle both drink alcohol; Mentions of drinking & alcohol.

Lots of kisses and making out (easily lasting a full page); Touches, Embraces, Noticing, etc (semi-detailed); A few hints to a steamy movie & Colton being bothered by it; Mentions of male body parts (slang used); A few mentions of bedroom shenanigans; A few mentions of unmarried couples living together; A few hints of sleeping together (suggestive); A hint of an elderly woman not fancying men; A mention of a strip club; ‘hot’ and ‘sexy’ are used frequently.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Falling for Prince Charming by Sophie-Leigh Robbins is a light-hearted summer romance.
Can Elle change Colton's mind about not leaving their hometown?
Elle
Elle has returned from a failed relationship in Paris, France, to her tiny hometown. She is living with her best friend to be able to get back on her feet while trying not to get into a relationship too fast. Well, until Colton Wilson shows up in her life and makes her rethink things. I love Elle as a character, especially her way of thinking about her weight. Elle, as a character, is honestly refreshing for a heroine in a romantic comedy. I loved everything about this character.
Falling for Prince Charming CRColton Wilson
Colton was honestly not looking to fall for another of his sister's friends, but it just ended up happening for him. He tries not to fall for her, but he does, and I like how we get to see him think about his choices. Does Colton leave, or doesn't he? Especially after he and Elle get together. I like Colton a lot. It's not because of his good looks but because he does have his flaws. Colton is a sweet guy that has some issues that happened in his past.
Five Stars
Falling for Prince Charming by Sophie-Leigh Robbins is a light-hearted summer romance in a beachside town with two people that probably never would have connected. Elle and Colton are so cute together, and this book is such an excellent read. I love the comedy parts of it, and one character is just weird as can be. Ms. Robbins has done a great job on this book. She has a great way of making me fall in love with the characters of every story I read. I am giving Falling for Prince Charming by Sophie-Leigh Robbins five stars and recommending it to all romance readers out there.

Elle Miller spent a year in France with her boyfriend Paul, but the relationship and her career failed big time. So she heads to her home town in Summerville Creek where she plans to stay with her best friend Maggie. She doesn’t plan to fall for her best friend’s handsome brother, but that’s exactly what happens.

Maggie’s brother Colton Wilson is quite attracted to Elle, but he swore he’d never get involved with one of his sister’s friends. He made that mistake years ago and it didn’t end well. No matter how hard he tries, he just can’t seem to stay away from Elle.

Colton has his life all figured out. He plans to earn enough money playing Prince Charming at a local amusement park so he can get as far away from Summerville Creek as possible. The big problem comes when Elle gets a job there, too. She’s serving hot dogs in the cutest hot dog costume he’s ever seen. He can’t take his eyes off her.

Elle is not thrilled with her embarrassing costume. It’s definitely not what she wants Colton to see her wearing, but it can’t be helped. For now, this is the only job available.

What a delightful, sweet and fun romantic comedy. It oozes cuteness. I found myself LOL especially as Elle tries to maneuver around in her hot dog suit. The sparks fly between these two right from the start. The story is made up of truly likeable characters.

It’s the perfect book to spend a relaxing afternoon reading. It’s one of those “feel good” books that keeps you smiling long after you turn that last page. The good news is that book #2 will be out soon. I’m looking forward to reading it as well. Sophie-Leigh Robbins is one of my “go to” authors when I need to unwind.

Who doesn’t love a good RomCom? If you do then I recommend that you go grab this one as it was so good. This is now the second book by this author that I have read and I loved it as much as the first one I read by her.

Sweet, sexy, funny, clean, witty and oh so charming, it really is a perfect feel good love story.

Elle is Colton’s sisters childhood best friend, who has moved back from Paris and into their home. Well, it doesn’t take long for sparks to fly and for this pair to realise they are more than just friends.

Loved this sweet romance so much, they are such beautiful caring people who deserve their Happy Ever After.

Great easy and quick read, honestly go grab it.

Looking forward to reading more from this author ❤️

A fun meet and fall in love story that involves working at an amusement park. When Elle leaves Paris and her disaster of a life behind, she settles in with her best friend and older brother in Summerville Creek. He helps her get a job at the same place he works-The Magic Wonderland Amusement Park. Dreaming of becoming a park princess, Elle is disappointed when she learns she is a hot dog vendor complete with an ugly hot dog in a bun costume.

Funny and filled with wonderful characters, this is another sweet story from Sophie-Leigh Robinson that will have you reading, laughing, and sighing. It is delightful and left me with a warm feeling.

‘…irresistibly attracted to my sister’s best friend…’

This a great rom-com! It made me laugh a lot. Elle seems to get herself into all sorts of situations and she can laugh at herself, too. The characters are very endearing and the fast pace makes this book a lot of fun to read. I definitely recommend it.

Sophie, you did it again! Your books always puts me in a great mood and Falling for Prince Charming wasn't any different. Since page one you had me laughing so loud my daughter thought I was going crazy. Elle & Colton are such a cute couple with a great sense of humor. Falling for Prince Charming let me forget my troubles and took me to (The Magic Wonderland) where Colton & Elle's love flourished and filled my heart with happiness. I'm so excited for book two!
