Addison struggles to escape from her past as much as she’s trying to heal from it. She goes through the same routine day in and day out, works part time at the coffeeshop to pitch in on the rent for the sake of her roommate, Emmy, and goes to visit her psychologist on a regular basis. But she still struggles. She struggles a lot. When a series of bad situations happen to Addison, it leaves her no choice but to revisit her past. Told in a limited perspective, Misplaced tackles the psychological spiral of the innerworkings of a tormented soul as they struggle from abuse in the past and present. But when Addison discovers something else about herself, that she’s able to see into the minds of others, it sets her mind on a tailspin. Are these just delusions and hallucinations? Or is it real? Will her friends and psychologist believe her? Or will she succumb to the madness?
