Penny Wells is visiting her life-long friend, Trudy King, at her home, Hilltop, in Laguna Beach, California. When the doorbell rings, a life-altering letter addressed to Lynn, the young violinist virtuoso who lives with her, is delivered. Bill Tennent, Penny’s nemesis for over twenty years, recently released from a lengthy prison sentence, resumed his retribution against her. He is intent on killing Penny and will go to all lengths to cause her pain and suffering. During the museum gala, Tennent confronts Penny, finally coming face-to-face with his adversary.
