Rate this book
When the clock strikes twelve, there’s custard, a conspiracy, and murder afoot…

When ex-spy Charlie Mission receives a mysterious letter during one of her midnight snack raids in the Gossip Inn’s kitchen, she’s intrigued. As the small town’s only ‘fixer’ she’s used to her fair share of strange requests. But this one is unique. The bride-to-be of a local wedding, catered by none other than Charlie’s grandmother, has written to tell Charlie that she’s terrified for her wellbeing. There are two murderers after her, and she can’t reveal who they are unless Charlie comes to see her in person. But when Charlie attends the wedding hoping to meet her new client, disaster strikes. The bride drops dead at the altar and chaos breaks loose. With too many suspects to count, accusations around every corner, and something suspicious in the custard pie, Charlie might just have an unsolvable mystery on her hands.
Can she figure out whodunit before she becomes the next victim? Find out in this wildly entertaining cozy tale.

I'd loved the Mission Inn-possible series so much by this author that I was eager to read this spin-off series featuring most of the same basic characters. I always loved how Gamma and Charlie would get their perp using all Gamma's cool spy and tactical gear from her armory, and this series is living right up to that. (Somehow I got started with book 3 since I happened to see it in BookSprout, but I do plan to read the first two!) Even though I'm starting with book 3, there didn't seem to be any spoilers or anything that didn't make sense to me.

The mystery was a good one, and even Charlie was super confused about whodunit, but Gamma was a little sidetracked when she found out her nemesis was up to no good again. I loved how Charlie and Gamma took down this perp and got the police there. It's just as much fun although I gotta admit I miss Brian Smulder a lot, but Charlie found someone to share banter and insults with, so all is well in Gossip, TX.

Who Murdered Bridezilla ? . . .

An ex-spy, Charlie is now retired from the agency and working at Gamma’s inn. The Gossip Inn’s chef, Lauren Harris, is catering a wedding, but the bridezilla, Julia Childless, drops dead, turning up the pressure for Charlie and Gamma to identify the murderer before wedding guests leave for home. The twists and turns through the multitude of suspects will keep them very busy. Detective Aaron Goode arrived, told Charlie to stay out of the case, and is already aware of her track record for finding dead bodies. He should also know he won’t keep her away.

The bride-to-be had contacted Charlie to tell her she was afraid because two murderers were after her. Before they can talk in person, the bride was murdered. When the lights went out at the Hall and someone shot the bride, Charlie was attacked by an accomplice who grabbed at her purse. And when she told Detective Goode about the note Julia left for her, it was no longer in her purse. Fortunately, while he scoffed at her, she forwarded the picture to him from her phone. (She had taken the picture in case the police took the note.) Was there also something in the custard slices? Detective Goode had admitted that a custard slice was found in the deceased’s dressing room with trace amounts of poison in it – the same poison that showed up in her toxicology report. An earlier attempt to kill her? Grab your book and follow the clues! This awesome series will draw you in and keep you laughing!

I love this series. Gamma owner of the Gossip Inn and Charlie are former spies hiding out in Gossip but are type A personalities. They need things to be hopping. We are now around Halloween and the Inn transforms to a haunted house, complete with werewolf or so the customers think. And to throw more into the mix, their chef, Lauren is catering a wedding for a bunch of highbrows and snobs. After going over the menu for months with Bridezilla, and everything was agreed upon, there is a confrontation in the kitchen with Bridezilla she denies she every wanted custard slices, the day before the wedding which of course Lauren will not change! And now we have the wedding and bridezilla is murdered. Not only is she shot, but she is almost poisoned. So, Lauren becomes the suspect which is strange in itself. With so many people hating the bride including her mother-in-law, who killed her? Charlie and Gamma using some of Gamma's spy paraphernalia are on the case! With so many twists and turns and with Detective Goode constantly warning Charlie to stay out of the investigation and a love/hate style relationship developing between the two, this book is a treat! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book as you see a very funny laugh out loud end to the book! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Life in Gossip is never boring, though at times, it may seem that way. Not only is it close to Halloween, but also a local wedding being catered by the Gossip Inn. So much is going on with Halloween decorations going missing, a murder taking place at the wedding, and the suspicious custard pie.

This story had a lot of twists and turns to keep you guessing on who the murderer is, who is stealing the Halloween decorations and who poisoned the custard pie. Join Charlie and Gamma as they investigate all the shenanigans going on. The plot and characters were well-written, making you feel like you are friends. The interaction between the characters and the mystery of whodunit makes this a perfect cozy mystery with just the right amount of humor, mystery, intrigue, quirky characters, and adventure that will keep any reader completely engaged.

Another Murder in Gossip!!!

The Case of the Custard Conspiracy is Book 3 in A Gossip Cozy Mystery series.

The bride-to-be contacted Charlie to tell Charlie that she’s terrified for her life since there are two murderers after her. Before she could reveal the name of those 2 murderers, the bride drops dead in the middle of the wedding, there is also custard pie found in the bride’s dressing room. This case get Charlie all
puzzling over who is the killer since there are many suspects.

This is a fun light heart cozy mystery with wonderful characters, full of humor and mystery, a hard to put down book with lots of twists and turns that keeps me entertained as I try to figure out who is the murderer. I really enjoy this book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I highly recommend this book to any cozy mystery fans.

I've read several books written by Rosie A. Point; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the third book in the Gossip Cozy Mystery Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Charlie trying to figure out who killed Julia at her wedding. She has left a mysterious note for Charlie that two people were trying to murder her, she wanted Charlie to come see her but before Charlie had a chance to talk to her she died without revealing who was after her. Now Charlie has to solve the mystery before they come after her.

is the only "fixer" in town and is used to getting strange requests all the time. In this one

has said that she knows who the two murders are but cant reveal their names until Charlie comes

Ex-spy Charlie is back along with her ex-spy grandmother. This time around Charlie finds herself investigating the murder of a Gossip Inn resident at a wedding. All of the elements that fans of this series love are on display. There are cats, desserts, laughs, and a fun mystery to solve that unwinds at just the right pace. Rosie A. Point knows how to spin a light and fun mystery tale, and this one is a great addition to her rapidly growing catalog. New fans can easily jump in here, while long-time readers will feel right at home.

Welcome back. This time there is a wedding in town and most of the guests are staying at the Inn. However, before the wedding can take place, the bride drops dead walking down the aisle. Now it is up to Charley to figure out who killed her. There is no lack of suspects. The bridezilla was originally from town but had moved away. She didn't even invite the town people to her wedding. The only reason for having it here was to piss off the groom's mother. Join in while Charley and Gamma track down clues, all the while dealing with guests, disappearing Halloween decorations, and a ghost cat. Thoroughly enjoyable. Reading these stories are like visiting old friends.

Gamma and Charlie were co-spys who have left that world, but still thrive on action. The Inn is decked out for Halloween and there is a wedding with a dead bride. Guess who is going to figure this one out? The characters are addictive and the local is terrific. The storyline is well written with plenty of drama, danger, surprises, twists and a little flirting with Detective Goode. Loved the quirky people and the fast paced adrenalin going on. Could not put this book down. Great ending and can not wait for the next book to come out.

The best so far and a must for cozy lovers. This series is really starting to take off in my opinion, not that the first two weren't good, but the Custard Conspiracy is excellent. Even with Gamma's help, poor Charlotte has her hands full with cantankerous guests, a phantom cat, preparations for Halloween and of course a dastardly murder to solve.

Lots of suspects, clues and red herrings. Great characters- Point does a great job with characters- there were a few I wanted to be guilty! A real page-turner that is easy to read and will keep you guessing till the end. I received a copy from Booksprout and am happy to review.

I thank Rosie for the ARC of this book and I am happy to review it. I am so addicted to her books that I cannot wait for the next one. Charlotte Mission and her grandmother are puzzled. Halloween decorations are stolen. A bride is murdered on her wedding day. The custard slice eaten by her is supposed to be doctored with some poison or drug. Who is out to get the bride? Charlotte and her grandmother have to eliminate the suspects on their list to find the culprit. The story line was original. This book is also humorous apart from being fast paced. Absorbing!

A very overbearing bride nearly broke the control and restraint of chef Lauren

Charlie enjoys s bit of a challenge and some intrigue, yet she seems a bit torn and overwhelmed . Does she really want to stay in cra y small town Gossip, Texas ? or is there too little drama and action to hold her interest for long?

with a bevy of suspects after the bride, and skills and challenges to keep her interested, Charlie has some sleuthing to do - and some thinking !

humorous sisterhood spy challenges

I am so glad that they continued the Mission Innpossible series with the Gossip Inn series. Although they are no longer looking over their shoulders every moment due to their spy life, they are using their skills to help solve local cases even if the police aren't happy with their involvement. However, with how incompetent they can be focusing on just one suspect vs. looking at the big picture, people are turning and hiring Charlotte as she earns the reputation as the fixer.

I’m in love with this book series. The first three books were amazing! Kept me dying to hear more. I’d find myself up till one or two in the morning just reading. I love how the new characters were all possible culprits. What a plot twist too. Didn’t expect that to happen. It definitely was shocking.

Each character has a unique description which helps me as the reader gets a visual understanding about who the person is.

This is my favorite author by far. Her writing is very well done. Keeps me interested and eager.

A wedding to die for! Ex-spies Charlie and her grandmother are on the case when a member of the wedding party staying at the Inn is murdered. And they have their hands full between this and the ghost cat and the Christmas decorations that are turning up missing! This was fast-paced with a lot of humor along the way. And it kept me guessing right to the end! Very well written as usual and I can't wait for the next installment in the series!

The Gossip Inn is catering a wedding, but the bride drops dead. Charlie and Gamma must find the culprit before the wedding guests return to their homes. This may be their toughest case yet. There are many plot twists and plenty of suspects. The identity of the murderer was surprising. This book was an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to the next one. Charlie is hired to help find who is trying to kill Julia Childress. She is the bridezilla that is giving Lauren a hard time about what she wants catered to her wedding at Gossip Inn. But who would want to kill off the bride? As Charlie goes digging through the guest list and wedding attendants, things aren't as clear as she would hope. Plus there is the problem of the 'ghost cat'. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Not a bad story with plenty of twists and turns when a soon to be bride is murdered. I wonder who wants to get rid of her and why - she only left a note to one or 2 people wanted to kill her. It all happens at the Gossip Inn.
