Some bakers decide to enter the Eurovision Song Contest. An archivist saves the stories in her care from destruction. An artist wills himself into being by fixating on his doomed relationship.

In this collection of short stories, people make plans - some fired up with optimism and hope, some fuelled by obsession, and there are some with no chance at all of success. I loved this anthology of short stories. The stories were all so very different, but all engaging. The first story pulled me in and I loved the subject matter - someone saving books has got to be a good thing!! How authors think of their subject matter has always been an impressive feature of writing to me and Bobbie says her inspiration came from projects that she'd undertaken over a span of 10 years...... well worth waiting for the result!! The other really good aspect of this book, is that they are short stories - you can fit lots of other things inbetween the stories.
