Bob Proctor is a huge fan of Napoleon Hill. Listening to him is like listening all Hill's ideas over and over again.
But this is not a bad thing at all and I enjoyed this audio book in my car trips. What could it be better than listening Proctor's lessons while stuck in the Dutch traffic? :) This book has become a nice friend who has allowed me to reflect on life and how to get the most of it.

What I got from it:

1. If you put a little into life, you'll only get a little out of life.

2. Excellence is a commitment to completion. The difference between success and failure is often a razor edge (ie 0.1 of a second difference in a 100m dash).

3. If you can picture it, you can achieve it.

4. We act based on our self image, no one is born with a self image.

5. We attract what's on our vibration (ie if we put off vibration of abundance, that is what will come to us). Expect abundance and things will turn out well.

6. The past has nothing to do with the future.

This was an audiobook from audible. I thought it was absolutely fantastic to listen to in the car. Furthermore, I added many bookmarks throughout the seminar so that I could go back and listen to it again at a later date.
- changing your internal picture to get what you desire
- you cannot escape a prison if you don't know you're in one, Vernon Howard 'Mystic path to cosmic power'
- determining what you want, when you want it and an idea as to how you're going to get it.
- asking yourself if a new idea take me from where I am to where I want to end up
- Consciously pick the people you associate with, make sure they are in a positive vibration
- no one knows how to reach a goal, until they reach it. And no who has reached a goal can tell a person who hasn't how to reach that goal/success. Only once one reaches their goal/success do they know how they did it
- a person who is continuously in a negative environment, and who's consciousness is deduct, will become a product of that environment.
- success is nothing more than energy at it's most organized state
- you do not understand something well enough unless you can explain it to someone else who they can understand it
- spaced repetition to develop a habit
- change the picture in your mind, make a written description of the person you would like to become, as precise as you can describe it. build an image of being happy, healthy and wealthy. write it in the present tense, 'I am so happy that I am...'
- 'Your invisible power' to get good results in life, we must understand our relationship to the great all encompassing impersonal power.
- The power cannot do for you what it can only do through you
- everyone who starts to study themselves, they become great readers and always want to get into good books (Robert Russell books)
- if you're ever alone in business, always refer to others as 'we' and not 'I' - shows that you have a team behind you
- whatever you accomplish in your lifetime, is in direct relation to the intensity and persistence of your faith. 5h49m

As this went on, I liked it less and less. I understand it’s decades old, but the focus on men making money and their wives enjoying it got old. It was primarily focused on material possessions (that new Cadillac, the big house, furs, jewelry). The entire message seemed repetitious without dealing with the root of our issues that hold us back. Just believe and it will happen. Toward the end, when he was talking about his son buying a house he even said “I don’t know how he did it.” A few decent takeaways but something I could have gotten in a few minutes.

I thought this was a book but it’s actually a recording of around 11 hours of a seminar from what I can only describe as ‘Bob and friends’. It felt to me as if he’s reeling off information that he’d mentioned in his books as well as bringing in some friends to fill in the gaps. I didn’t like the way one guy spoke. It reminded me of the major from the Simpsons where the last word of every sentence is dragged out. There were a few good bits in there but it was awfully long for what it was and to me, not worth the time.

Listened to the audio-book which is actually a seminar that was recorded live likely 50 years ago... it had some nice mindset reminders about how our thoughts create our reality and examples of both cautionary tales and people who broke out of limiting belief paradigms around wealth consciousness. The meditation at the end, I personally found to be not-so-relaxing and more creepy. The content, however, was something inspiring to have on at 1.5x speed in the background doing other tasks.

Good read, I found I had to be really concentrating to take it all in. A bit heavier than what I’m used to reading but still held some really valuable information.

WoW I will probably be rereading this for the rest of my life! And to think six months ago I couldn’t understand how someone could reread the same book three times let alone annually…
