Protecting what's mine de Ella Goode

Argumento:

2.75 Estrellas!

Quick(ish) Review

It was fine but there’s so much that’s underdeveloped that the story is only ok. The main antagonist is paper thin, and it feels like I really need to read the book featuring Violet’s brother. Yeah just underwhelming.

Very sweet n steamy

This was such a lovely read! I absolutely adore a hero who is protective and capable and this book had that in spades, as he takes responsibility for the heroines security after a traumatic event. And how he handled the threat to her—-TOTAL SWOOOON!!!!! Not giving anything away, but what is sexier than a man who isn’t afraid to handle business?

I also loved that the heroine was vulnerable, yet had an inner strength and resilience that kept her fighting and she was secure enough in her femininity to let the hero be HER hero.

My only complaint, and the reason this book is getting 3 stars instead of 5, was the brush off of the heroines innocence. I think she was a virgin but it wasn’t mentioned specifically and because of that there was no sense in the hero claiming her, feeling any primal satisfaction in that claim, knowing she belongs only to him. It was a lost opportunity and it kinda fell flat for me. Could’ve been so much better.

Hero’s past isn’t mentioned at all. No ow/om drama, except to the threat to her, from a man she never reciprocated interest in. No abuse or cheating by MCs. Possible triggers: story deals with stalking, kidnapping and the subsequent trauma. HEA with epilogue years out.

I love this author’s stories so much because i know its safe romantic hot love story and also the epilogue is just the best. Like seriously so fun!

‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING AND NO SEPARATION

‼️‼️‼️NO DRAMA WITH OW and only with om but not too annoying and not too much

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO is 35 and idk about the heroine

‼️‼️‼️many jealous scenes from the hero

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OTT POSSESSIVE VERY UNDERSTANDING PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE

why understanding? Because he understands the heroine’s traumatic stress that personally i think i can understand that so the hero really be there for the heroine no matter what and never afraid to show his love for her. I liked it when the hero always made an effort to see the heroine on daily basis even before they were having s*x. Awwww

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE PUSH THE HERO AWAY LIKE COUPLE OF TIMES (not much) AND NEVER AGAIN. THE HERO NEVER PUSH HER AWAY, never

‼️‼️‼️very hot smut scenes and they didn’t use a protection but both are clean

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING. Married and have kids and even their daughter is sooo cute🥺🥺🥺

Violet and her agoraphobia caught my attention in her brother's story, so I knew I wanted to read her story without a doubt. And it really is fantastic and beyond my expectations!

The plot is somewhat gritty and dark, but the couple is adorable. Violet thinks she doesn't deserve happiness because she is a burden to everyone around her due to her inability to leave home. After a traumatic experience, she relies on her family and head of security Sebastian to deal with daily things. This heroic man, however, is loyal to her even against his family's wishes. Those Sunday dinners are insanely hilarious.

I loved seeing Miles, her twin brother, and his lady again. I also loved how devoted and very aroused Sebastian is towards Violet, yet he respects her pace in carnal matters. Don't worry, they get very passionate ;-) I wasn't expecting the dark twist towards the end, but it's really exciting and cleverly plotted. And the epilogues are so cute! Definitely one of the best by this author.

The couple: Sebastian and Violet

Romance genre: bodyguard
Part of a series: no
Length: 100 pages

Plot: Violet is suffering from PTSD in the aftermath of being kidnapped by a stalker. Her stalker is now in jail, but she can't leave her house - too much anxiety. Her family is accommodating, but her brother has also hired a security team, led by Sebastian, to make sure she is safe. Sebastian is definitely invested in keeping her safe - he's fallen in love with her. Despite the meddling of her family and the possibility of her brother's disapproval, he'll wait for her as long as necessary. But he'll need to keep up with his bodyguard duties as well, because she's not out of danger yet.

Character development: Poor Violet - I can't even imagine. But to have a man like Sebastian waiting for her, ready to do whatever it takes to protect her and to be so patient in the meantime must help a little. They're both adorably funny and into each other:

Her face is growing bright with interest. “I think I’m interested. This might be better than pizza and making out.” “Okay, no need to start being unreasonable now.”

Will I make it through this night or will I die of blue balls? Stay tuned for an update.

This is a very typical Ella Goode story, with a j/p hero and a sweet virginal heroine. As usual, I liked it!

Violet gets her story!

I think we are all excited that Violet gets her story. My heart broke for what Violet went through, and how it effected the rest of her life. Sebastian is awesome and never gives up! Sebastian finally wears Violet down and they get their HEA.

I received an ARC and I'm freely reviewing.

I really enjoyed this story. I missed the book of Miles and Eden, so I'm brand new to this couple of Sebastian and Violet. The story flowed pretty well for me. Sebastian is in security and has been helping with Violet. Violet has a phobia due to a trauma that doesn't let her leave her home. I liked how Sebastian never gave up on making her his and making sure that she knew her phobia changed nothing for him. Violet struggled with her phobia and with how she felt others saw her or changed things for her. This was a good book.

This was as cute and over the top as I was hoping. Violet's agoraphobia has limited her world so much but Sebastian doesn't see it as a problem. He wants to do whatever he can to make her life easier, for her to feel safe. Her desire for him feels impossible, the anxiety and stress she lives with every day feels insurmountable. Luckily, Sebastian stays constant and Violet can't resist him any more. I loved how it all turned out, it was a delight to read!

Violet is an agoraphobic, she had a stalker that terrorized her for months before kidnapping her. Sebastian rescues her, he owns a security firm and works for her twin brother, Miles, protecting her. He has loved her since rescuing her, she feels broken and keeps him at arms length. I loved how Sebastian didn’t care that she never left the house, he was devoted to her, he loved everything about her. Seeing her brother, Miles happy with his fiancé, Eden, she starts to yearn for that with Sebastian. She starts to let him in by asking him to teach her self defense, they soon enjoy spending time together and engage in some seriously heavy make out sessions. When she gets news her stalker, Adam has been released early she goes into panic mode, Sebastian is the only one who calms her down, although she mad he didn’t tell her of Adam’s release. He apologizes and they have their first time together. He knows Violet will worry about Adam so he takes care of it rather creatively with the help of Aidon Kasteros furnace in his warehouse. Knowing Adam is no longer a threat Violet starts to feel like herself again. I love yous and she proposes!! Sebastian did have a ring for her, he was waiting or her to be ready. I loved how strong Violet was, she helps Eden with her new business, wants to learn to shot, and fight to protect herself. And calls his mom to invite her and his dad to dinner to meet them. Her world was limited in space but she made the best of her situation. Cute epilogue with kids.

Protecting What's Mine by Ella Goode is the story of Violet and Sebastian, and I've been so eager for this book, and this book ABSOLUTELY delivered!

Sebastian is a dreamboat! He saw Violet and that was it. Bam. Instantaneous connection, a forever connection, a forever devotion. SWOONWORTHY. Yet also with an edge, and his edges were scrumptious!

And sweet Violet. I adored her. Felt for her, really loved her characterization, her capacity for love, her strength even if she couldn't really see it, her brilliance, all that is the beauty that is Violet, both inside and out!

Their CHEMISTRY sizzles, their connection blossoms like the rarest and most beautiful flower, and I just fell head over heels myself for the two of them together, like they did for one another! I love the push and pull, the will they won't they. All of the FEELS evocative and DELICIOUS!

There's some light drama, some intrigue, some action, and a whole lot of pining and love, so, what are you waiting for?!

P. S. Adored seeing more of Eden and Miles!

This was a lot better than I was expecting. A lot. I was worried this was going to be handled terribly, where the guy's cock saves her from her agoraphobia. Thankfully, nothing of the sort.

It was actually funny and sweet. Their banter was enjoyable, the hero doesn't get tortured for very long, the hero's parents are funny and dickish at the same time and I love his backtalk to them, and I also didn't realise this story is in the same universe as the Vhiet or whatever they're called. No wonder the previous story had Miles just waltzing all over like a mafia boss.

I must say I was disturbed by the death of the stalker though. I like it when it's kept on the DL. This was in your face.

Sweet & Sexy

Violet and Sebastian’s dynamic in this book was so endearing, patient, and slower paced when it comes to the romance progression. Yes the attraction and feelings for each other is instant and they know they are one another’s one, but it does take a second for them to act on it.

I appreciated the time it took for them to fall into their love for the other because they were working around Violets PTSD from her stalker, and she was healing throughout the story. Sebastian was AMAZING because he was the catalyst for Violet getting through her trauma, and comforting her without pushing her too much. The family support was great, there was no doubt in Violet & Sebastian being endgame, and we got a happily ever after that was so realistic for someone recovering from ptsd. I loved it and I think you will too!

Love love loved. This short and sweet book has so much swoon moments that I couldn’t put it down. Sebastian has been in love with violet from the moment they met but is scared to show how he feels especially since violet has severe ptsd and agoraphobia. The more time they spend together him protecting the more both their walls fall. The lengths Sebastian protects her made me swoon. The chemistry is electric between these two and I felt weeny ounce of it. This has got to be one of my favourite books of Ella goofed and look forward to reading more.

I received an arc to give an honest opinion.

A sweet, short Ella Goode story.

I have absolutely no excuse for why I didn’t read this book the moment it came out. I understand PTSD induced agoraphobia better than most so it’s incredibly interesting reading a story about a heroine with the disorder.

It’s super short and sexy like all Ella Goode books. Truthfully, it felt a little shorter to me than usual, but that may be because I really liked the characters.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the way certain issues were handled near the end. Frankly, it could’ve been a little more dramatic.

Still, overall, I really enjoyed it. It’s not my favorite Ella Goode story, but I liked it and recommend it.

So this one was almost just as bad as Miles' book.
I feel as if Ella Goode just really missed the mark on Violet and Sebastian.
It seems as if she couldn't make up her mind if Violet was agoraphobic before the kidnapping or just suddenly became that way after kidnapping.
Violet and her attitude towards the way everyone treats her drove me nuts! She got upset because she felt like everyone treated her with kid gloves, yet how are they suppose to treat her when he has panic attacks at the mention of her kidnappers name and locks herself in a house and refuses to leave??
I just didn't care too much for these two books.

Quick, easy read

This was a quick read for me. I really enjoyed it. I loved getting to see Violet and Sebastian come together. Violet was dealing with the aftermath of a stalker and being kidnapped and what she felt safe with afterwards. She wasn’t comfortable leaving the house and didn’t feel herself worthy of a relationship with Sebastian. Sebastian refused to give up and would happily take her any way he could have her. I liked the characters and enjoyed the read. It was great getting to see Violet come out of her shell some and let Sebastian in.

Violet gets her hea❤

I love how much Sebastian cared for Violet. He was there no matter how much she did, or didn't, give back. I'm glad Adam is no longer an issue, but I wish something bad would've happened to the female parole officer, she deserved it just as much. It was fun seeing miles and eden again. I never realized just how awful their mother is, was she that bad in the 1st one? overall, this was a really good story and I would recommend!!

Sebastian and Violet.

Loved this book. Sebastian has been keeping Violet safe for a king time after she was stalked and ultimately kidnapped by her stalker. He was able to track her down and rescue her but not before the trauma of it all got hold of her. She never leaves the house in fear of the outside world and pushes him away thinking he deserves better. But he wants only her. Great plot, likeable characters and red hot romance. Highly recommended

Excellent read!!

Violet King had a violent run in with a stalker and the incident made her agoraphobic. Sebastian Turner laid eyes on Violet and knew she was the only woman for him, now he just has to convince her of that. Violet thinks she's too broken for a relationship, especially one with Sebastian. This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

Ella did it again, made this beautiful story. I fell in love with Sebastian, who defends his love for violet and protects her from her fears. Violet lives locked up in her twin brother's Mansion. The plot of this story is very good, with HEA for sure. But the part that I loved the most was the surprise in the epilogue. I recommend this story 100%.

Great story

I was so excited to read Violet’s story after seeing her when I read Miles’. It did not disappoint. It was sweet and heated and touching all at once. I adored Sebastian. His love for her was so amazing. And I liked getting peaks at some characters from other books. Great book.
