He will spend every last penny of his massive fortune fighting to get Kailey back. Will Kailey's home be a small trailer or a massive mansion? Who will Leddy choose as her true king? Who will be the victor in the fight for Kailey?
Fighting for Kailey is a roller coaster ride of emotions. I ran through a barrage of emotions and loved every wave! I was so emotionally vested in this book! I was so floored by so many scenes as they unfolded. I yelled, I laughed, and I cried. Meeting the characters was such a thrill. Rex is one nice man to look at but, he was so much more with such a huge heart. Leddy was a ray of sunshine. She and Rex were such a power house together. Fighting for Kailey is a book that tugs at your emotions, steams up you mirrors, and pulls you straight in! If you like being totally submerged into your books then this is the one for you!
Loved this book. So many emotions and turns in the story will keep you invested and turning those pages. Rex is such an amazing character, he is the best for Leddy and Kailey. Such a great story.
Leddy had it all at one time she had married the high school golden boy had the perfect life with the beautiful little girl . Until the day her whole world fall apart . Enter Rex the bad boy in high school who offers her a place to stay and a love that could rock the world . Leddy and Kailey , Rex have a good life in the trailer . Until William walks back into their lives and now she is torn between the man in her past and the man who loves her and her daughter unconditionally . I will say I really liked the characters in this book. Leddy is a woman who has had it and lost it . She is sassy and loving but she is also a little naive about some things . Rex is the bad boy who has a heart of gold. He is a sweet guy who has been labeled bad by everyone in town, and is working to repair the damages he has done in his past . William was the golden boy who had it all and fell hard . He is kind of arrogant and thinks that he can get everything back he lost . There was a moment when you really did like William but I like Rex more . They are so well written and complex . You really love to hate them and then love them at the same time. This author really put us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions . There were moments in the book where I laughed so hard I had tears and in the next moment I was crying. The characters are well developed and you can't help but love them. I read this book in an evening and I couldn't put it down. This author has a way of writing that will have you on the edge of your seat most of the way through the book. Yes there will be tears and laughter but by the end of the book you will be cheering each character on. So if you want a good summer read check it out . This would be a great book to add to your summer reading list .
Ugh! Talk about an emotional rollercoaster! This author is one of my favorites to read and I absolutely love how she slyly throws in some of her readers favorite characters from other books that she has written. Leddy Reed at one time thought she had it all. She married her high school sweetheart and they had a beautiful daughter. But life is no fairytale and Leddy soon finds herself divorced with nothing to her name and a single mother living on the streets. Until bad boy Rex Oliver takes her and her daughter in.
Now five years later and Leddy and Rex have made a life with each other raising Kailey as their own. Both have to overcome their issues from the past, but together they believe they can get past anything. However, when William returns to claim his wife and daughter Leddy and Rex's relationship is really put to the test. With a meddling ex and spiteful vengeful parents constantly out to destroy any happiness Rex may find, things start to spiral and Leddy is no longer sure what would be best for her daughter, Kailey.
Like I said at the beginning, I absolutely adored these characters. The emotions I felt while reading definitely kept me engaged. There were time I wanted to just wring Leddy's neck because of the games she was "unknowingly" playing with both William and Rex's feelings. I was ecstatic to see William grow from his original plan and see just how much Rex did for his daughter when he wasn't there to raise her.
Leddy and William married young , had a little girl but William lost his way with drugs and ended up in jail that was the end of it. Leddy ended up alone but with the help of a former high school enemy she has a home , her daughter Kailey and her future love of her life. But when William comes back to town, things start getting strange. someone is trying break up Leddy and Rex. I love the story and characters but Leddy drove me crazy a couple of time as being wishy washy but it worked it's way into the story really well. Rex went through hell through out his life, Leddy went through her own and so did William but these characters are amazing. You feel their pain, joy and disappointment plus at times it pulls on your heart strings. A wonderful read
"What a rollercoaster this story was! Rex and Leddy's story was simply beautiful. Not gonna lie it was intense, heart breaking and painful yet it was their path of love. I was eager to know how things will end and after all the 'problems' *not giving details* my heart was broken too but THAT ending was beautiful, perfect and so romantic. The story was long, I loved that since chapter one there was love and romance. Did I mention how sweet and hot Daddy Rex is? Sweet Lord of all beautiful things."
Leddy and William got married after she became pregnant. After he ends up in jail, Leddy has nowhere to go. Rex shows up as her off-white knight and offers his home to her and the baby. Rex never thought he could love anyone more than his two girls. William eventually shows up and tries to use his money to get back into Leddy's life. What will William spend to be close to them? How far will Rex fight for his precious ones? Will Leddy choose love or money?
Fighting For Kailey is one of the most thought provoking, emotional books that I have read. So many tough issues are tackled through the amazing, relatable characters of Leddy, Rex and William and their parents and the sweet, tough Kailey. I especially loved the angle of judging and being judged. A perfect book for your next book club read, there is a lot to be discussed in this enjoyable story.
Two bad boys who are hot, turned into good guys who are even hotter compete for the same woman who has a child by one of them, but the other one is the child’s daddy…..there are more complicated relationships involving friends and relatives. A few surprises are in store for readers as we see all these things get ironed out!
I normally don't like contemporary because it's too close to reality but this one was totally worth it. This is a beautiful story that holds on to your heart and once there starts pulling all strings to make you feel as the characters do. Wonderfully crafted, this story will stay with you long after you close the book
Besides sounding good the cover of this book had me wanting to read it. It's about love, family and finding that happy ending. The characters are great and the author she's a good job letting you know them. It's a book that leaves you happy though there are times you feel sad. A definite must read!
Beautiful! A wonderful story full of so much emotion and ups and downs I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved the characters and really enjoyed the whole story. It was well-crafted and really tugs at the heart strings.
Loved this emotional story. The characters are very realistic and very easy to like. I laughed and cried and wanted to through punch someone a few times. It was like holding your breath to see what would happen next
I really enjoyed this story. It had a great plot line and kept me interested until the end. I really liked the character of Rex as he would do pretty much anything for his lady!
