I fell in love with this subject the moment Prof Brooks Abel compared atoms to letters, molecules to words, and reactions to poetry on my very first day of organic chemistry, and I fear I shall love it forever. Thank you for introducing me to what I’ve always loved, for being the final stepping stone on the twisted path of declaring my major, for inspiring wisps of a dream of a career, and for changing my brain in so many wonderful ways.
