As a long time Beatles fan. I really enjoy this series. This book is 3rd in the series. Although there wasn't quite as much " Beatles time" within the story they were there and part of the story. I enjoyed that Helen and her Mother did some sleuthing together while on vacation in Beverly Hills.

Another Helen Spencer adventure with the Beatles story in the background. This one is set in Hollywood where Helen and her parents are on holiday. Their visit coincides with the Beatles performance at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964. Again some of the Beatles story line is based on fact, but the theft of George's Rickenbacker guitar, and Helen's part in it, is the fictional part of the story. When the guitar disappears while in Helen's possession, she (and her mother and a hotel bartender, Trent) get in just about over their heads in the effort to find it.
There is the usual bold but not well thought out schemes and some rather entertaining time at the Whiskey A-GoG0 before everything is resolved with a Hard Day's Night inspired ending.

I really do enjoy these Beatle mysteries!!
They're so entertaining! I sometimes wonder if there really was a Helen Spencer attached to the Beatles. I love the story line and it did have some intense twists throughout the mystery. The author not this series has captured the personality of each of the Beatles that it's so much fun reading these mysteries! Lots of drama and humour combined to make a fantastic read!!

Anyone who loves the Beatles will enjoy this series! Book #3 covers their Hollywood Bowl concert and is filled with Southern California history.

Very entertaining!
I love the stories of Helen and wonder if she was a real person or fiction. Entertaining nonetheless. She always gers in trouble but the truth always prevails and she shines.

I just loved all of these Beatles mysteries, and I am sad that I have finished them all! I see there is a new one coming this fall and I cannot wait. They are so historically compelling in the details and personalities of the four Beatles. I love Helen Spencer! All of us who were there in the beginning can identify with her admiration and awkwardness!!!
