Sebastian Drake, stoic protector of the Drake family, always gets what he wants—and there is nothing he wants more than the half-starved Pedigree omega named Peregrine he comes across on his travels. It doesn’t matter that Peregrine is a Disgrace. Sebastian will do whatever it takes to keep him… and somehow, as impossible as it might be, find a way to be his mate.

Present Day
For hundreds of years, Peregrine has enjoyed life as Sebastian’s mate. Sure, as one of the only bonded omegas in recent history he’s been kidnapped more times than he can count, but with Sebastian there to save him it’s little more than an inconvenience. And attacks from hostile clans? That’s just a typical Tuesday.

But there is one thing Peregrine fears, yet desperately wants.

One thing that has hurt him time and time again.

One thing Sebastian can’t save him from.

And now it’s happening again.

He’s pregnant.

Peregrine is an 85,000 word omegaverse mpreg romance set prior to as well as following the events of the Forbidden Desires series. It has answers to questions you’ve been dying to know and contains heartache, laughter, origin stories, meddling reptilian families with huge hearts, exotic locales, a dash of danger, and a love story five hundred years in the making. For maximum enjoyment, Peregrine is best read following the events of Clutch, Bond, Mate, Swallow, Magpie, and Finch.

Sebastian ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍

If you’re a fan of this series (and who isn’t?), you will read this, no questions asked.

So, what is the point of this review?
I went in without reading the blurb.
I now know:
That this flips back and forth between the 1500’s and the present day.
That it’s dual POV
That I now love SEBASTIAN to death!!!
That Perry is less of a mystery to me, but that I didn’t end up loving him like I did Sebastian.
I don’t know what the hell is going on with Bertram.
Or Raven—what the hell is up with him???
But I suppose thats for the next book.

I liked it.
I didn’t love it.
I LOVED Sebastian!
I liked Perry.
And man does Sebastian like to get it on!!! 😂😍😂
This book had more sex than the others (no formal study conducted).

Cameos: Ev, Alistair, Harrison, Steve

Not recommended as a stand-alone.

4.5 stars. I loved it, of course. There was never any doubt of that. Every single book in this series has been fabulous. This one was a little bit of a surprise though. Ferocious, scowling, snarly Sebastian is a complete and total cupcake for his mate, Perry. 🥰 But only for Perry *and their whelps*. Anyone else might just get eaten, I'm just sayin'.

Throughout all the stories, Perry has always been the calm and serenity that everyone else looks to in the tumultuous life of dragons, their mates and families. Not to mention all of the changes that have been happening in their world, so very unchanging for millennia. Perry and Sebastian's story, told through flashbacks alternating their beginning in the past and present day, show that you can't always know what really goes on in someone else's life. Some just don't wear their pain for others to see.

Sebastian was a true revelation and a genuine pleasure to read. Who could know that the fiercest of the Drake dragons could be so utterly sweet and romantic with their mate? 😍 LOL, at least when he wasn't busy sexin' Perry up, which was a LOT of the time. 🔥🔥 Even though it was always hot, that was kind of sweet too, with how very desired he made Perry feel. ❤ I always liked Perry, this book just showed the depths and layers of his personality that he didn't show to anyone but Sebastian. Born a "disgrace", Perry always felt like less *except with Sebastian* and his losses made him feel even less than that.

I absolutely loved how this ended, despite the drama and danger that got them there. It's seriously amazing that I have so loved every one of these Drakes....except Bertram. And I have REASONS! 👿

The next and final book of the series is about Bertram and his mysterious Raven. Despite how very wonderful every single book has been so far, the authors are really going to have to pull a magic trick for those two. I look forward to it!

4.5 stars!
I received an ARC from GRR and this is my honest review.

I am a BIG fan of this series.#TeamEverard all the way! And #TeamHugh because FUNFETTI!!
and after reading Peregerine... I am definitely #TeamSebastian because he was SWOONY AF!

See, the big stoic brash Seb turned out to be the most romantic Drake ever, and I ate that sh!t up.

What I loved...
The characters..
- Seb: He is a big alpha dragon who had got a big mushy center and i loved it! he was such a sap for Perry and their kids. Perry had him wrapped around his little finger and it was so sweet to say Seb melt in front of him time and time again. #SuckerForYou

- Perry: He is a resilient, strong omega in a tiny fearless package. He had gone through so much but never let anything put him down. he really is the glue for all of the Drakes, dragons and mates alike, and he deserves this position wholeheartedly. #DontLetTheStatureFoolYou

The Plot:
We finally know what's up with Perry!! This is a take on a problem many people around the world suffer from and it was handled beautifully. there is also something lurking in the shadows something that has been following them since the moment they met. #OnMyToes

The Romance:
We get flashbacks and present day, and we get to travel back in time to when Seb met Perry, fell madly in love and found his mate. These guys are so in love, so sweet and so meant to be. They didn't care what society thought or who they were, they only cared about each other. #MeantToBe

Steam-o-meter: Steamy! #Hawt

Angst-o-meter: medium angst, not between our MCs! #TogetherNoMatterWhat

HEA: Perry and Seb finally get their full HEA, the one they deserve! #AtLast

ETA: Skipped over to this one in audio and it's just - it's still everything lol. Michael does such an amazing job voicing SO MANY characters! I love Perry and Sebastian, and Harry and Ev, and seeing them all in the 1500's, and all the kiddos. I just love this series so, so much.

This book is just EVERYTHING.

I now have a second most-favorite book in this series (first will forever and always be Bond) and honestly - this book comes pretty close to knocking Bond off the top spot (which is saying a lot!)

We have seen Perry since the first book of this series, as the mate to Sebastian, and who seems to be living the perfect life as a beloved mate to a dragon. However, as the series has progressed we have seen that something is definitely not right for Sebastian, and it's definitely been what readers of the series have been demanding to know.

Well, now we know - that although Perry and Sebastian have so so much love for each other (and OMG Sebastian is a total softie, which I just adored!) they have also had major struggles in their life. I would like to say that everyone should read the warnings at the start of the story as there are story elements that could be definite triggers for many.

This book flips back and forth between the present day and when Sebastian and Perry first met. I LOVED the glimpse of them when they were first together, and just how in love Sebastian was right from the start. I loved them together so, so much. I also loved that we get to see their first clutch all grown up (annnnnd now I want stories for all of them, too!)

In the present, there is much going on with someone after Perry and more secrets being revealed about the last brother - Bertram and his mate. I am super anxious and worried for what is (unfortunately!) the last book of the spin off series. Its hard to write about here without giving away major spoilers.

And the ending is just a delight. I love how after all Perry has done to be a confidant and strong friend for Harry and the other mates, that now everyone is helping him. And OMG Him and Sebastian together are just *happy sigh* goals. I love them so much. I was very emotional at the end of this story, and it took me a couple days to get my rambling thoughts together here.

So let me say this - those that are put off by the idea of mpreg and kinky, trope-y, fad writing - please give this series a try. There are amazing relationships, quirky and snarky and oblivious characters, the best pets that you can ever ask for, great banter and interactions and a bit of a found family element mixed in with the real family. I cannot speak highly enough of this series and also the solo writing of Piper Scott and Lynn Van Dorn (Virginia Kelly is her pen-name for this series). I love this series and I hope you will give it a try! (READ THEM IN ORDER!)

The authors have taken it up a notch again!

I spent the entire last 15% of this book with years of pure joy running down my face! This story is just so incredibly awesome! The authors have created such a complex real feeling world that I am based by it! Then they went on to people said world with characters that feel as if they could step out of my kindle at any moment. Just wondrous!!!

Yeh….I did not enjoy like I hoped. Y’all know I love me some purple dragons but this book didn’t have the same magic like the previous books and I’m disappointed. This could be because I never much cared about Perry/Sebs story and felt they were solid as a couple, and all this did was made me hate Bertram and that dusty Raven because how am I to like someone who tries to kidnap peoples kids and triggers others heat all while mumbling about omega liberation 🥴. I’m also not on board for using trauma or maybe mental illness as some sort of catalyst for his behaviour, because if that’s where this is going I’m a be annoyed (I’m a still read it though).

Overall, not a fave and even all my little dragons and Harry couldn’t make this good for me.

Narration:5+++++ of course

Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly’s Forbidden Desires series continues with Peregrine. If you haven’t delved into this series yet, start with Swallow and you’ll be addicted too.

I’m so glad to find out that gruff, growly Sebastian has such a warm, gooey heart. It took for him to find a real treasure for it to come out, and it’s wonderful. And Peregrine’s hurt/comfort tale is very moving. (Did anyone not tear up at that ending?) Very moving.

I’ve enjoyed this series in audio, performed by the marvelous Michael Ferraiuolo. Mr. Ferraiuolo’s skill with accents, and his ability to create a unique voice for each character, is simply amazing. Listening to him perform anything is a treat, but his voice acting skills truly shine when he performs the books in this series.

Gahhh just absolutely brilliant

And now we know why Everard has no pet names for Perry!

I absolutely adored every single word of this book, there wasnt a thing I would have chosen to be different and not a jot of the feels I would have given up.

Throughout this series Peregrine has been there, the glue at the centre of the Drake brothers' expanded family, the mate who has been there for half a millennia.

And his is such a wonderful story, from the moment Sebastian sets eyes on him trying to roll a barrel of herring to the whispered words of love at the end, theirs is a romance for the ages.

They support each other without fail, they love each other without conditions and they're honest and open in their feelings.

As this is a story about a bunch of dragons, you can bet there's the usual mayhem and chaos when whelps, dragonets and other offspring gather.

But there's also a thread of deep pain, of loss so powerful it changes your very soul, and we find out that what we feared might be the case for Perry's melancholy is true.

The authors weave this into a story which twists between the present day and the 16th Century and which travels the Medieval world and the modern one alike.

We find out secrets which go a long way to explaining some of what's been going on in the other books, but not all.

That will come in January (arghhhhh!) when we finally get Raven's story and the final Drake brother Bertram is going to have a lot of explaining to do!

I want it now 😁

4.5 rounded up!

Since book 1, Peregrine has been one of the pillars of the Drakes. He 'was' the only omega before Iggy entered the picture and his calm, poise, and elegance were admired by every succeeding omegas thereafter. Sebastian's caveman personality, on the other hand, was a huge contrast to Perry and was also prevalent through the series. He's been the 'muscle' and a great help to his brothers. However, Perry as the admirable omega and Seb as the brute of the pair were just surface-level description and this installment finally showed us how they came to be mated, had 2 successful clutches, and had the longest successful relationship in the family.

Perry may have been the elegant, enchanting beauty we knew but 500 years made him a survivor and a fighter. He definitely has bite! This book showed how he's like any other dragonet/human who feels jealousy and bitterness and can lash out at his worst. Also, only Perry has lived for that long amongst omegas and it contributed to a great plot for which their past was told. The flashbacks came with tales of hardships, failures, and heartbreaks and how their relationship weathered all those storms. It's a proof of why he truly believed they can weather the current storm they're facing. 💔

Defeat did not mean that he had failed. It simply meant the battle had not been his to win.

Seb, on the other hand, was not just a brute. He's a dedicated mate who will protect Perry at all cost and his conviction in declaring Perry as his mate was admirable. He may be a man of few words but he definitely made up for it whenever he declares his commitment and love to Perry. From the first time he met Perry, he already decided he's the one for him and did everything he can to keep him at his side. ❤️❤️❤️

“You do not yield to me any more than the water in this basin, meekly pushed aside when introduced to any kind of resistance. No. One day, you will yield to me like the fire does—shaped by my hand, but still vibrant and alive. It burns of its own volition, Peregrine. I may control its size and shape, but not even the mightiest dragon can control the way it flickers. I want you to yield to me like it does. Do you understand?”

I also loved how they stayed in love and complemented each other. Seb continued to gift his mate with all his favorite things like they weren't together for 500 years and Perry in return still enjoyed and conceded to his dragon's possessiveness and urge to protect him from everything. Such a sweet couple. 🥰

Honestly, stories of current relationships and flashbacks are personally not my thing. I struggle to keep my attention on these scenarios. However, I have to admire how this story was laid out. Their history turned out to be significant to the current challenges of the pair and how interwoven Raven and Bertram were to their past and present predicament. The ending seriously hurt my heart and I'm scared to read the last story of this series. 😔

This one is still definitely one of my favorites of the series, it will be interesting to see how the authors redeem Raven and Bertram!

Original Read/Listen: June 2021
Audio: 5 Stars
Book: 4-4.5 stars

Perry what a delight! He was always one of my favorite side characters so seeing he was getting a book was so exciting!

I do wish we had more of a relationship rather than sexual relationship when getting past perspectives. It did help that we already knew the characters so all that sex in the past chapters didn’t bother me as much as it would if this was a standalone.

I wish we had a better understanding of Raven and The last Drake brother. But that’s what the last book is for haha

Michael Ferraiuolo did a great job with this book as well I mean what can you expect he is one of the best narrators in my opinion.

I do recommend this book for fans of the series!

So big, broody, growling Seb turns out to be quite the romantic when it comes to Perry! I could not get over just how sweet he is when it comes to the man who owned him from day one.

Perry and Seb have seen and done so much over the hundreds of years they've been together. Perry, always outwardly calm and supportive, has been through a lot and carries a lot of pain with him. He's always been a wonderful character and I just loved him even more as his history unfolded. Sebastian would burn down the world for his mate and I completely fell for him.

There is quite a set-up here for the next book. Bertram is in for a rough road, and his actions while understandable on one hand have caused a good deal of harm and grief for the extended Drake family. I can't wait to see how it all works out!

Perry and Sebastian have a beautiful family but they also have their secrets. There is one major one that has caused them both so much heartbreak. Now Perry has the chance for one of his dreams to come true but there is a constant threat hanging over his happiness. Sebastian being the true mate he is will do anything to protect his family even if it means hurting one his own.

Overall a great read. I love Perry he has been my favorite throughout these books. I am so glad we got more of his story. We get to witness the beginnings of his and Sebastian's relationship and how they came to be. We also see the heartbreak Perry has suffered through too. All of it translates to a beautiful story with so much love in it.

On another note, the next book in this series seems to be about Bertram and his mate, Raven. All I have to say is it better be a damn good book because at this point I do not like either of them. 😆

This series gets better with each new book

Audio and Ebook reviews

I loved listening to this emotional satisfying, intimate , heartfelt , hot AF , Rom-Com , tear jerker story. An audio , I will be re-listening again and again for many years to come.

Michael Ferraiuolo narration of Peregrine was exquisite. He vividly , convincingly and passionately brought the story and characters to LIFE. His performance made me cry , laugh , get all frisky and everything in between.

Perry and Sebastian are characters easy to love for their many good qualities and personality traits. Their story is one of love , devotion, highs and lows, of hope and of loss. One of family and friendship, of perseverance and passion. It has humor, banter, snark , laughter galore ; as well, as tears and despair. But above all is about the never-ending , unconditional, beautiful love , support , partnership between Sebastian and Perry.

Peregrine is very different from the other books of the series as it's the tale of an established couple that love each other and the conflict and angst is the result of something done to them , in their past , that changed their lives. The conflict resolution is well done.

Things you must know:
Peregrine isn't a standalone.

I have been waiting forever for Sebastian & Perry. Normally I do not like going back & forth between the past & present, but it so worked here. We see that from the absolute beginning, Sebastian loved Perry. Perry was sure that Sebastian was going to throw him back. One of the biggest things was it took forever for the mating mark to appear & there was the real fear that if Perry laid a clutch, he would go insane. We even see Everhard trying to talk Seb into giving up on Perry & finding another omega to mate with. Seb never gave up hope. Another big thing was all the miscarriages that they went through. Over the 500 years they have been together, there have been 100 miscarriages. It was heartbreaking. Even though they did end up having to clutches, all Perry wanted was a baby. When he finds out he is pregnant, he isn't sure if he will survive losing another baby. The epilogue killed me. When they returned to their original home & he is telling the tale of the young dragon, I cried very ugly tears. When the family was there, it was even worse. I'm guessing that the next book will be the last as it is Raven & Bertram's story. I really need to know what is wrong with Raven & why he is doing what he is doing/did.

I rec'd a copy of the audio arc from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest opinion.

The Forbidden Desires Series is one of the most recommended and praised Omegaverse book series in the MM world and the latest instalment does NOT disappoint.  We have all been dying to know Peregrine’s back story and what has been going on with him lately and this book opens up those mysteries.  Piper and Virginia once again bring us their brilliance and share this wonderful universe that so many of us never want to leave.  This is not a standalone – start with Clutch and you will soon become one of the hoard!  This book is sweet, sometimes sad but always epic and like all of the other books in the series – simply wonderful.  I adored it.

What a wonderful, beautiful story. I'm giving it 4.5⭐, but I'll round it up, simply because it's so well written and has 2 really amazing main characters.

This is Sebastian Drake and Peregrine's story and yes, it's everything you imagined it would be.

🟣 Omegaverse; mpreg
😈 Dragons
🟢 Almost a historical romance
🟡 Substantial size difference
🔵 Poor to rich
🌶️ Good spice, but plenty of romance

This story skips from the 16th century to the present day continuosly, since it explains how Sebastian and Peregrine met and formed an almost impossible, forbidden connection.
Peregrine is a Disgrace, there to only lay a clutch and to be later on separated from the Dragon who picked him. Mates at that point were so rare, that it was unheard of for a dragon to even enter into such a serious relationship with a Disgrace, but that is exactly what happened to Sebastian and Peregrine.

This was my Peregrine.

For what I've read of both characters in the previous installments, I was always very interested in the couple. They seemed stable, special even, Sebastian being the ultimate Alpha - big, strong, protective, dominant, and yet loyal, caring, devoted and Peregrine being a beautiful Omega, who's elegant, gentle and really well taken care of. Peregrine went from being trained to serve a dragon to complete happiness with Sebastian.

Without knowing, they've started laying down the groundwork for future Disgrace Omegas already back then, in the beginning of the 16th century.

Peregrine and Sebastian formed a strong, loving relationship and decided to stay together against all odds. Even when Peregrine miscarried, even when there was no mate mark - Sebastian was willing to throw it all away for Peregrine. What an absolutely amazing, beautiful love story. And so well written! This was written in complete British English and it goes so beautifully with the time where and when the story is set. Peregrine is an eloquent speaker and adresses everyone around him with such a refined, courteous manner that I simply fell in love with him. What a wonderful, beautiful person he is.

Sebastian presents his rock, someone Peregrine can always lean on. He's respected, loved and cared for and Sebastian is a wonderful partner in that regard. A stoic giant, who's a devoted father and would give everything up for his chosen person.

"I love you," Sebastian said. "You, the babe, and all our children." He cupped his beloved's cheek. "But most of all, you. Always and forever, you."

There was one thing that bothered me a little bit, and that was the things they shared, the information flowing between them, or the lack thereof. You see, it's almost unfathomable to me that they can be mated for 500 years, and Sebastian still doesn't let Peregrine into anything concerning his dragon family. He doesn't share details - well, anything at all, he keeps it all hidden and I wonder how does that look like where all they share between them is children, home and sex.

It's almost dumbing to a certain degree and very much in line with how women were treated for centuries - on that I agree and see the point there, but being together for such a long time and living now, in the 21st century with so many things changing for the Omegas, you'd think they, as two mated dragons, would share more . So I kind of resented the part where Sebastian told Peregrine to not meddle with the affairs of dragons, that was quite terrible, but since we know Sebastian isn't the bad guy here - quite the opposite, I let is slide. And really hope he does change his ways, because Sebastian and Peregrine are almost like a power couple amongst the dragons, so it's a bit sad and weird that Peregrine has to go elsewhere to fetch information about what's going on with everyone.
There's still more than a 1000 years left of them being together, so let's hope Sebastian comes around, because in my opinion that's not protecting Peregrine from anything, that's just blatant disrespect, but I digress.

I did love both main characters though, their children, their way of life and I simply loved their love story.

I have to take a break before I read Raven though, because I absolutely don't like him or Bertram.

Oh my heart! Perry is a treasure!

This is one of my favourite series and each book goes from strength to strength.

Perry has always been a sunny, strong and beautiful character and getting to know him better is a wonderful treat. Heed the trigger warnings as this story might just rip your head out but thankfully Piper and Lynn give us insite into Perry and Sebastian and brings hope and love full circle for a beautiful HEA!

I loved getting to know Sebastian Drake. He's always been a somewhat gruff and protective alpha but seeing his journey with Perry was beautiful and his heart, oh my! While not on with words his faith and love for Perry knows no bounds and their bond is magical!

Perry really is the glue if the family and the HEA is full of so much love I couldn't help but tear up. I love Perry even more and he is now one of my all time favourite characters.

This is an amazing series and I recommend it wholeheartedly! I can't wait for more and feel there is so much set up intrigue 500years in the making for the next book!! I can't wait!!!

AMAZING!!!

I knew it would be. The feels are overwhelming. Full of humor, love, tears, and thrills. We see such new sides to Perry and Sebastian as we alternate between their first meeting in the 1500's and their present day love in full bloom. So many hints and teasers about Raven. I want to read it now!!!

DNF'd ... I dunno, half way? Even my kindle app was so bored by it that it couldn't tell. Even after trying to synch it on two different devices days after I wandered off from it.

Goodreads now says 2 stars means "it was okay" nowadays. I'm giving it two stars because the book was not unspeakable apocalypse. Do you think in a year or two 2 stars will mean "I liked it" and 1 star will be "it was okay"?

This book features two characters who have appeared in previous books. Basically if you Love them in the earlier books, you will ?maybe? enjoy this book? They are as interesting in this book as they were in the earlier ones.

Basically these books have declined in enjoyability with each contribution to the series. I thought this one might be better due to it being about recurring characters, but no. It feels to me like the author(s?) have been getting more bored as they go along. They have tried to substitute a major plot arc for diminishing characterisation unsuccessfully. I was considering continuing with the book because of the underlying plot...the next is not a spoiler because I don't actually know what they are going to write and....I realised I could predict all of it, who cared, and nothing about the series interested me sufficiently to continue.

It didn't help for me that the plot so far has been about pregnancy and miscarriages (which the reader is massively warned about) and people wanting to have babies, and that just is not my universe. And I don't like or care enough about the characters to empathise with them about anything. Unlike, say, if the issues were cool things like administrative structures to minimise fraud, or....kittens. (not that I would countenance a story with a sad kitten plot). Puppies? Puppies are good unless they turn evil and try to game book awards, but actually that sounds like a pretty good plot.

So basically, don't waste your time.

Let's wrap ourselves up in this wonderful love blanket and just feel good. That is what this series has been. Perry and Sebastian's story is no different. Their history is longer. So, it cannot be all sunshine and roses. There are more facets of real life in their story than the others, considering Perry and Sebastian have been mated for over 500 years. It is a beautiful love story.

We continue to laugh and enjoy an ancient tortoise, a dandy iguana, little whelps with puffs of smoke, babies and omegas who hold it all together for their purple dragons.

Silly in alot of ways but no less enjoyable and truth be told, overall, immensely satisfying.

The final piece to this family puzzle will be Bertram's and Raven's story. They both have come across as unsavory, unlikeable characters that have caused immense heartache. I'm all in favor of redemption so we'll see.

You slay me. 🐉💜🐉💜🐉

I'm so happy right now **sigh**

Peregrine always seemed so mysterious to me...like a beautiful angel walking around with so many secrets. Well we finally find out about Perry and Sebastian's beginning.

Sebastian is a dragon of little words but let me tell you that his feelings for Perry run very deep. He's not one to be swayed by convention or propriety and when his dragon knows that Perry's his mate, his mind is made up.

I want to hug all of them...

I love how each couple has an unusual pet...Perry has an ancient tortoise named Pate that he's had for over 500 years.

Now I have to wait impatiently for Raven's story and I'm sure it's going to be epic.

I absolutely adore Perry and Sebastian, and I knew I was going to love their book! What I did not expect was how utterly heartbreaking it would be. Sweet Perry and Seb, if anyone deserved their happy ending it was absolutely these two!

I have my suspicions how Raven and Bertram/Frederich came to be how they are and I equal parts want them to have their happy ending but also suffer for all the pain they have caused.

This series started off as a fun read to get me out of a slump and I quickly fell in love with the characters! The story has evolved into an action packed, adrenaline fueled thrill ride!

THIS BOOK. THIS BOOK! 5⭐️!! I think, writing style based, this was the book I enjoyed- or well which surprised me the most!! I was afraid that as we already knew this (already mated in book one) couple it would be repetitive… BUT NOTHING LESS WAS TRUE. I have a completely new view on this couple and they have one a special place in my heart 🥺 The jumps in chapters to the present and past were perfectly timed and made a lot of sense and also kept the flow of the story going at a PERFECT PACE!! The mystery and questions and then the switch to a new scene - AWESOME! Next to the great writing style i obviously also loved the characters! I there was so much more to their relationship than we already knew and it was amazing to read about it (so so so much more than I’d expected). The book was emotional and heavy too, I definitely needed a box of tissues - but beautiful in its own way, (do read the content warning). AND as all the other books FAMILY DRAMA! It was so interesting to see yet again how the family bonds between these brother and their friends change and evolve especially with the DANGER which has intruded?!?! WHICH IS MY LAST POINT! HOLY CRAPPPPPPPP!! I need NEED NEED! The next book! My mind was blown by the revelations revolving around it and Perry’s past 🤯 (amazing plot twists/development imo 👏🏼) so fingers crossed we don’t have to wait tooooo long haha!!

Finally got Perry's story, and it was worth the wait!! Hearing about his past was hard, as I knew it would be, but Sebastian is such a sweet and caring partner from the very start that this book is still a joy to read.

It does deal with the serious issue of miscarriage, so if that triggers you, don't read this, but it does so in a delicate and thoughtful manner, giving the issue the respect it deserves.

It was such a great addition to the series, and I loved seeing all the other characters from the series show up, including Perry and Sebastians first set of kids!

Fans of the series, and new readers alike will love the humor, steam, and loving family in this m/m romance!

Perry has been so special since we first met him way back in the first book in the series. I just want to wrap him in silk and take care of him and never let anything bad happen to him. He's just such a light.

I wasn't sure how I felt about Sebastian, but this book really shows how wonderful Sebastian is. He keeps it hidden, but it's still there. He's just Perry's rock and safe harbor, and is wonderful.

I hate Bertram.
