Brannans Family Saga #3

Dreams That Veil

Rate this book
December 1911.

Mama held the firm opinion that children should be seen and not heard. But one always took Mama’s opinions with a pinch of salt, and Eliza Brannan certainly does.

Twelve-year-old Eliza eagerly awaits the return of her brother, Roderick, from university. She plans to spend all the sun-drenched summer days to come exploring the grounds and picnicking with Roderick and their cousin, Dorothea.

But these twenty-somethings are growing up fast. They are forging lives and loves of their own, and Eliza feels left behind. When an unexpected proposal of marriage leads Dorothea to a search for her long-lost father in the slums of London, Eliza begins to realize that the world is a bigger and more frightening place than she could have ever imagined.

A deeply affecting story of love and loss of innocence in a time of war, set in the bucolic Edwardian countryside.

A lovely story.

This is the third book in this series this one is about Eliza the young daughter of the Brannans family. A pleasant story and this takes us to the outbreak of world war one. Hope there is another story.

WHERE, OH WHERE IS BOOK 4?

This family saga is definitely holding my interest. The books have all been cliffhangers of a sort, this one even more than the earlier books Dominic Luke definitely knows how to hold an audience. Please release the next book soon, that is all I can say.

Enjoyable but lots of editing errors.

A enjoyable, if somewhat predictable plot with an unsatisfying ending. The numerous editing errors were frustrating. Too hard to find a capable editor?

Great read this time from the view of a different character. Hoping the stories don't stop here and there is more to come from this intriguing series
