I read the fourth and fifth books, before I received this box set. I am so glad I got to catch up on this community and find out about more of these beloved friends.
RESCUED ON BEAR MOUNTAIN is the first book in the Bear Mountain Shifters series and it is a wonderful introduction to the shifters and this world that Sloane Meyers is creating.
Joel and Anna touched my heart as they meet and slowly realize that the insta-attraction that they felt is real. I fell in love with them as they fell in love with one another.
I love when the title is completely in tune with the story. Joel rescued Anna – literally – when she was caught in a snow storm. They each are rescued by the other with their relationship bringing them together. A new home for her. A house that is now a true home for him.
This story does more than introduce Joel and Anna. It also introduces the feud between the Pine Valley humans and the Bear Mountain shifters that will be a continuing story arc though the rest of the series. ~~~~~~~~~ CLAIMED ON BEAR MOUNTAIN is the second book in the series. This is a continuation of the feud between the humans and the bears, but could be read as a stand-alone story.
Caroline is only in Pine Valley for the tourist season. She has a booth in the local mall where she sells her hand-made jewelry. On a rare night out at the local club, she meets Scott. Scott is security – at the club and later her security.
The feud between the humans in the valley and the bears on the mountain is easily comparable to the prejudices we see around us every day.
I really liked this story. Perception, judgement, but more so emotion-filled romance. There is steam and sweetness as Scott and Caroline come together against the odds that have been stacked against them. ~~~~~~~~~ SEDUCED ON BEAR MOUNTAIN is the third book in the series.
I loved Jackie and Evan. Evan has been one of the most vocal bears about not mating with shifters. Fate, like God, laughs when you try to make those kinds of decisions. Fate will not be thwarted. His mate is one of those humans, and when he falls, he falls HARD.
Jackie is a peacemaker in all things, but especially in her job as a wedding planner. She was on her way to Pine Valley for a destination wedding with one of the worst Bridezillas ever. Jackie puts up with a lot, … until the little witch tries to control Jackie’s choice in friends. In Jackie’s opinion, there is no reason to be prejudiced against those people on Bear Mountain, especially one growly handsome one. As to what happens: I won’t spoil, but I will say that Karma pays good to the good and wicked receives their just rewards.
~~~~~~~~~ DESIRED ON BEAR MOUNTAIN is the fourth book in the Bear Mountain Shifters series. Though it stands on its own, I think it would be stronger if you have read the full series.
Why, oh why, do so many shifters (and humans) try to tell fate they know better who their mate should be? Wyatt puts up so much of a wall he almost misses the boat…err... flight!
In the end, this is a romance, and they are destined to be together. I loved that the mating pull was irresistible even for the human. I loved that Lacey was strong and sassy. She was the perfect mate for a hardheaded alpha flightboy!
~~~~~~~~~ FATED ON BEAR MOUNTAIN is the fifth book in the Bear Mountain Shifters series. Though each will stand on its own, I think it would be stronger if you have read the full series.
I love when we have a stranger with secrets who is the perfect mate for a beloved community icon. Poppy is that paragon within the Bear Mountain Clan and Kent is an orphan bear raised by wolves.
I took off one star for the fight scenes that are unfathomably unrealistic. For example, when Poppy first meets Kent with Scott, she and the two men are having a conversation in the middle of a bar fight and the townspeople seem to just stand back while the bears decide what they should do. Then this tiny little woman drags a big old bear of a man through the crowd, and nobody protests or tries to stop them. I get it; Getting bogged down in the bar fight wasn’t instrumental to the story, but this was beyond this martial artist’s ability to suspend all reality… and it’s not the only instance. Still, I took off only one star for fight scenes, because that wasn’t the most important part of the story.
What was important, then? Romance, emotion, and community. I loved the slow release of information regarding Kent’s past. I also loved that Poppy and Kent had insta-attraction, but slow(ish) realization of each being the other’s mate.
It looks like this is the end of the Bear Mountain Shifters series, but we may next be going to Wolf Mountain. So, perhaps we’ll see more of these bears, their mates, and their cubs.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Rescued on Bear Mountain (Bear Mountain Shifters, #1)
Anna was looking to get away, take an inspiring picture, and if she was really lucky, be inspired to make some life-changing decisions about moving away from a city that felt like it was at the suffocating and stifling end of the spectrum. She never imagined meeting a mountain man who was sure he scented a blizzard in the breeze on a sunny and cloudless day... but Joel just might be even more inspiring than the vistas on his mountain.
Claimed on Bear Mountain (Bear Mountain Shifters, #2)
Caroline went looking for a chance to earn some money, and take the first, likely tentative step, on a path to a new and better life, but until she met Scott she thought standing on your own two feet meant doing every with your own two hands.
Scott has always known the people of Pine Springs refer to the folks from Bear Mountain as weird, but discovering his lifemate brings into focus just how his people, and those who associate with them are treated.
This done in one story brings Joel and Anna from the previous story in, as well as Poppy. Not only does it do a great job of juxtaposing these two communities, it also captures the frustrations of inequality.
Seduced on Bear Mountain (Bear Mountain Shifters, #3)
Evan feels an unsettling shift in the winds on Bear Mountain, and can’t help but fear it’s connected to full humans coming to live among the Shifters. He hates everything about these humans, and the feeling on incoming danger... until he meets Jackie, the only full human alive who could help him see things differently.
Jackie has an inhuman patience born of years as a wedding planner, dealing with the most demanding of brides. She’s not looking to uproot her life, but if pressed she might confess her career hasn’t turned out to be the dream job she envisioned.
This done in one story explores more of what the folks of Pine Springs think of the folks of Bear Mountain... and say about them to others... and drops a few hints about the broader area.
Desired on Bear Mountain
Wyatt’s job listing may read like a joke to most, but a shifter would get what he’s looking for... unfortunately for him a full human named Lacey has stumbled across a copy of the flyer, and when he refuses to hire her convinces herself it’s because she’s a woman.
The stories in this series do a good job of using shifters vs. non-shifters to tackle prejudice, double standards, and so many of the frustrations and conflicts that see to crop up in society all too often.

Every now and then, it’s time to settle in for some shifter romance, and this series was great. I enjoyed the Bear Mountain Shifter series, especially the wrap up with Poppy and Kent’s story. I had hoped for a bit of a different outcome with the townspeople, but when crazy villagers come for you with fire and pitchforks (that’s a joke, it didn’t happen that way), sometimes stuff just happens.
The love and warmth came through each story, and it was great to see. It was nice, in the last story that both Poppy and Kent were shifters and there wasn’t the same, exact - or near exact - scene where the shifter told the girl he was a shifter, the girl didn’t believe him, the guy said he’d prove it, strips off his clothes, roars loudly, changes into a grizzly, the girls walks around him, and then pats him on the head. I get neither the roaring nor the head patting. Yet it was in each scene where the “proving” occurred. The love scenes were also pretty much rote and could have easily been plopped from one book to the next. I guess if I wasn’t read8ng each book back to back, it wouldn’t be so noticeable, if the books weren’t all gathered together, you wouldn’t really notice that by the third book you’ve read that scene a couple times already and it wasn’t really that exciting the first two, Eric definitely had the best love scenes in his book. Although I’m not sure if I’d call them love so much as oh my God I’m on fire for you scenes. I just flipped past those pages of the others because after you’ve read it twice, it was boring.
Fortunately, other than the repetitive stuff the storylines were good and the actual writing, characters, and world building were great. It is also always fantastic to read books that have been proofread well and these books are extremely well done, even for me, a very picky reader.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
(Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have to be at work early (like 3am early) the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! The series is amazing, and each fantastic book reads as standalone. The Alphas and the queens that bring them to their knees. Keeping you wondering where they are off to next, who will they corrupt next, so what happens when emotional bonds weren’t on the menu, and attachments certainly weren’t supposed to form. But when fate put things, people in place and love rears her beautiful head throwing yet another wrench into the works this set is what you will get. I suggest you get in a comfortable reading position and a cup of your favorite tea/coffee/hot chocolate because once you start you won’t stop until the last page of the last book has been read but will they find happiness?
This series of 5 bear shifter books was so much fun to read. In a world where there is conflict with the people of Pine Springs, and no one in Pine Springs know 'why' the people that live in Bear Mountain Village are so strange, they just are...they hate them. But, they hire them during the tourist seasons to help out with their various businesses. Talk about double standards. We see lots of interesting people come to Pine Springs and never leave because of finding their true loves. We find ourselves witnessing a war starting up. Will the war be successful? I really enjoyed the various people that arrived, for the different things they brought to the stories. What happens with the Wolves and the Lions? How do they get involved in this series of 5 stories? I cried in the last story. I hope that perhaps there will be more in the future if we're lucky. I'd love to catch up with these folks and more!

A fabulous collection to have. This is the complete set of five books that you don't want to miss. Each story will take you on an adventure that you don't want to end. Claimed on Bear Mountain: This is the second book in this series, you can read this as a standalone. To get more background on the characters and the story you can read the first one. The story flows well, strong likeable characters and steamy chemistry. Scott is a security guard for a club and when he goes to help a woman he is taken back by her. Caroline is looking for a fresh start and when she sees Scott she is drawn to him. She find out that the people of Pine Springs don't like the people from Bear Mountain. Scott's bear is restless and know that Caroline is his life mate. That can't be true she is a full human, but he knows that his bear knows so he accepts it but will she? The story will keep you reading and not put it down till the end to see what happens next. Look forward to reading what happens next in this series. I recommend this book and series.
This is the complete collection of books in the Bear Mountain Shifters series. They're well written, entertaining, steamy, instalove bear shifter romance. I really liked these stories. They're all connected by bear shifters from the same clan on Bear Mountain but each book is written to stand on its own. Each story is about one of the bear shifters on Bear Mountain finding their fated lifemates. They each have obstacles standing in the way of true love and the citizen of Pine Springs caused a lot of those obstacles. If you enjoy shifter romances, I recommend grabbing this collection.

I enjoyed this set. Each story contributed to the over arching plot of the five stories, yet at the same time they all had their individual story with characters unique to each of those stories. It was fun to see the characters appear and reappear over the course of the stories. Each had a great plot along with great character development. There a number of times I chuckled at some of the banter and interactions of the characters. I enjoyed this set and am looking forward to reading more by this author.
I give this five out of five stars.

Five books of the Bear Mountain Clan - a fairly nice bunch of bear shifters trying to live a peaceful life, but again and again in trouble with a town down in the valley, called Pine _Springs. There, a human population is very nervous and scared of the people on the mountain and warn everyone to not go there. Luckily some people do not listen to them, like the 5 women, who meet their fated mates from Bear Mountain. The stories are fairly simple and predictable, but well written and enjoyable. A fun reaad to relax with. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I read all of one of her 6 book bear shifter series (didn’t know what a shifter was before I read it). Enjoyed the context of shifting. Thought I’d try another of her series . . . BUT the scenario never changes, Shifter meets full human who turns out to be their lifemate. Almost immediately They “mate” . (Several descriptive sex scenes) But human is unaware of their shifting abilities. Rest of story is how the human comes to terms with shifting. This varies but duh you get your HEA.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. The five short stories that compile this collection are about some tough bears who cannot resist their mates. These shifter and human couples find more in common than just love. Each can be read as a standalone but they intertwine. I was happy to get them in a set where I could read them together.
