My power could save our magical realm, but first I’ll need five consorts, one from each kind of Fae.
The royal guard brought me home but forgot to mention a few important details. Like how the council sees my return as their chance to command and control their future queen.
Did they forget the part where they bow to me?
When I magically bond with one of my college classmates, we uncover even more of my royal guards' secrets.
There’s one thing they made very clear, however… The Unseelie's relentless, ruthless hunt extends to me and my friends.
To protect us all, I'll gladly surrender the throne, but this decision could break my bonds and rob me of the men I’ve come to love.
Should I step down into the comforting safety of anonymity? Or rise to the challenge, take the throne, and keep the men I love by my side?
Consorts for the Queen is Book 2 in a simmering, slow-burn reverse harem series that follows a reluctant heroine who wants nothing to do with magical mating bonds, saving the world, or ruling one, but finds herself enmeshed in it all.

I bought this book because I wanted to know how this story continued.
Things are heating up in Glori’s world. I love how she’s still her own person throughout all the changes going on around her while at the same time as finding out who is really is outside of her mothers’ thumbs.
i also couldn't put the book down. story line is keeping better and better. very excited to read book 3 in this serie.
This book held a twist I wasn’t expecting and I found it to be well played. However there is a lot of repetition in the characters inner monologue which I’d hoped would filter out after the first book. There also seem to be some obvious things Glori can do to help herself, but maybe I’m just Monday morning quarterbacking.
Things are heating up in Glori’s world. I love how she’s still her own person throughout all the changes going on around her while at the same time as finding out who is really is outside of her mothers’ thumbs. The way this is written, you can really imagine all the different places where the scenes take place.
I couldn't stop reading this book! The storyline just keeps getting better and better! I am so hooked on Glori's story and can't wait to find out what happens in book 3!
Seems we’re losing a star every book I read in this series. I’d hoped I’d see the FMC start to mature in this book. Instead we got a petulant, selfish child who makes the dumbest decisions ever. Some of what happens in this book doesn’t even make sense. Like the ending - her bff just needs a blood transfusion yet the author is making the 2 guys stay behind while her bff heals? What? Why? Getting blood wouldn’t take long wtf.
Reading the blurb for the next books makes me think it’s just going to be nothing but the same as these first two books. No thanks.
Somehow, the main character is even worse in the second book than the first. I hadn't even realized that could be possible. She's even brattier, whinier, and dumber in this installment; she's clearly learned nothing from the previous events. There's also just pages and pages of internal monologue that is both repetitive and unnecessary.
This book was AMAZING! Being the second book of the Our Fae Queen series, Traci Lovelot really has outdone herself with this novel. I enjoyed reading about Glori's fears and struggles to continue learning her fae magic. As the Tree of Life Ceremony approaches, she needs to build confidence in herself and trust her feelings. I'm really looking forward to the third book!
Glori is still trying to learn her Fae magic. She is afraid of what she'll become if she does the Tree of Life ceremony. With her magic calling people to her, can she trust their feelings, or are they fake? Will she keep her queen magic or pass it on? She needs to decide before the Unseelie finds her. I loved this book. I can't wait for book 3.
Constant loop of weakness, self doubt and stubbornness from the FMC. Makes stupid mistakes and risks everything just gets captured. Rinse and repeat of the last book. I read this one because at the first novel it was eluded to the FMC growing stronger in her queen role. Yet it was a let down.
The plot thickens! And it begins to heat up! I loved Traci's world building. This installment explains a lot more of what is expected of the FMC and her duties as queen. There were some nice plot twists and progression of relationships. Definitely moving on to finish the series!
Promising setup... but the main character lost me (DNF).
I really wanted to love this series, especially after a solid and engaging first book, but unfortunately, book two fell flat for me. The pacing slowed to a crawl, and the main character's refusal to grow, ask questions, or take initiative became exhausting.
While i understand she's overwhelmed by her situation (being thrown into fae politics, romantic pressure, etc.), her constant internal monologue of "I can't trust anyone" without ever trying to understand or communicate with the people around her made it hard to root for her. Even when other tried to compromise or help, she doubled down on self-pity and blame. Either that or just going along with whatever and then complaining when she didn't know all of the information just expecting it to be handed to her.
The world is still interesting, and the love interests had potential, but the lack of progress halfway through the second book in both plot, and emotion, left me frustrated enough to put the book down.
1st reading: Oh, the politics. And the keeping of secrets and necessary information. Interesting to see that the bond links heir and consort emotionally, and also gratifying to see that Glori was finally intimate with both Kenji and Angel. So nice to see that Kenji is accepting of the situation. Still curious about Rorik and whether he'll end up the Veela consort. And Lyall? There's definitely the attraction there, but after all the betrayal and mistrust? Idk... Two additional plot thickeners - Nolan and his ulterior motives and Thressa... an Unseelie operative within the Guard. But that explains her disdain. And now the Nixie heir!

I still feel like Glori is super annoying, weak-willed and kinda not smart. I can't necessarily call her dumb. But she's..... Naive I think is the best word, and super sheltered, short sighted and she reacts without thinking through the ramifications of her actions. Nevertheless, I think the story is still interesting. The other characters drag the plot forward while the fmc is holding onto anything she can reach kicking and screaming to slow things down. I'm actually cheering for the bad guys. But... I'm still reading and moving on with book three. My hope is that Glori finally redeems herself and I can justify continuing on with the series.
Consorts For The Queen by Traci Lovelot is Book 2 in the Our Fae Queen series. Glori is trying to get a handle on her face magic. It calls to people and brings them to her. She wonders how much she can trust them -- are their feelings real or just because of her queen magic. Will Glori give up her magic to keep her love ones safe? Will she do the Tree of Life ceremony as she does not want to become the person she feels she will become after the ceremony? She has major decisions to make. Lots happening. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary review.
This is a good book The only problem that I have is that I feel like the queen to be is a little more whiny than I like in my books I know there's a purpose behind it and it's going to get better throughout the books cuz I see that she's getting stronger and stronger after each incident that happens but at the same time I'm waiting for her to I guess you could say man up I can't wait to read the next book to see what's going on that way I can finally see the queen she's going to be
I never write reviews. But I have to say I wasn't a fan of our fae queen book 2. Glori is all Jon snow "I don't want it" and being a major brat. I rolled my eyes alot reading this. I have a hard time believing she's 25 and not a teenager. I'm really over the "let's give my queen hood away to anyone else thing" it got seriously old. Please tell me book 3 makes book 2 worth it?
I enjoyed this more than the first. Glori had a little more confidence in herself and what she knew she needed. She’s growing into the idea of being queen and having consorts. Not sure how the other 3 choices will go for her coming up, but she has decisions to make and a lot of people working against her.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I liked the story at first and thought it had potential to be a great book, but it just was a disappointment. I don’t mind a slow burn but this wasn’t even that, it was just no burn at all. Sadly I won’t continue the series because I don’t want to spend my time and ending up disappointed in the end.
I wasn't sure about reading this, because I really hated Glori in book one. Well, I should have trusted my gut and skipped this. Glori is still a wimpy pushover, but she upgraded to a selfish brat too. I'll pass on the rest of the series.
Unfortunately, I can’t pinpoint why but this eventually…bored me? I tried a couple of times to start it again but the spark was never lit again. I guess all I can say is it mustn’t have been my jam, but it could be yours
Well enjoying the story moving along but a bit of repetition about main characters concerns. Then all of a sudden heats up! Bit annoyed what I thought might be a main revelation is never mentioned again at least in this book. Hope all will be revealed soon.
Dnf. For a book whose entire premise is "long lost fae queen has to find 5 consorts and have an orgy under the tree of life in order to restore magic to the realm" there is nearly no spice, and nothing of value happening. This book is a chore.
THIS IS NOT A RH SERIES!!! It is ultimately an open poly series, so if you go into this expecting the guys to all be focused within the harem, you will be greatly disappointed. If you don’t care about the relationship dynamics, then I would certainly recommend it.
This book in and of itself is a 4 star book though, so I would recommend it from strictly a premise standpoint.
